This question is about my friend, who gets terminated from the job every 6 to 7 months. This was the 8th job and is again going to get terminated. I know my friend well and can assure she is a great person and is very hard working.
Want to know what is causing this -

Mercury is retograde here,and she is running mercury anthardasha in mercury mahadasa.Generally retrograde planets shows incomplete karma from the past life so difficult to predict for me as a novice.Her rashi chart shows strong argala of mars and venus on mercury former is 12thlord and later one 6th lord.Currently saturn and rahu transiting the natal mercury also,which is not a good transit w.r.t retrograde planet.
In dasamsa,mercury is placed in fifth house considering time given is correct(sounds correct to me).On a whole mercury gives good results but she should be cautious about the work place politics.
I suggest her to pray lord rama and ganesh daily and fast on wednesdays.

mer/mer is also considered as dasa chidra,upto some part of mer/mer anthardasa it will be tough to predict.Jupiter in tenth house is always good placement and in Navamsa chart placed along with sun in leo,he has enough strength and here among three planets in tenth house sun is more prominent with strength in rashi chart.But sun is placed in sixth house in d-10,along with debiliated jupiter forming argala on mercury in 5th.For me,saturn-mars mutual aspects is saying there is chance of misleading and cheating by the one whom she trusts in the work place.Bcoz of this She will be lacking the actual big picture of the environment and then problems arises.

Your understanding is correct. Ascendant lord Jupiter is combust in 10th house of profession. Further the weakness of Venus in 12th brings losses.

Here Sun is prominent in tenth house if we consider shadbala.And also lagna lord in dasamamsa.Jupiter in conjunction to sun eventhough in asthamgatha,will add to the strength of sun in matters of career.Coming to dasamamsa chart,Jupiter here is debiliated and is in aspect of saturn,also he is lord of 5th and 8th houses.8th house says longviety of job.saturn-mars mutual aspects disturbing two kendras in dasamamsa eventhough kendras are good for natural malefics and again this saturn is aspecting the sun,lagna lord and 8th lord jupiter in d-10.Here jupiter eventhough debiliated,conjunction of sun his friendly planet giving him strength.So here sun is more focus in my opinion and mars in lagna and saturn in fourth doing neechabangha for jupiter in d-10 varga.
Also if we consider only rashi chart,Jupiter is functional malefic in kendra with 4th lordship so asthamgatha by ninth lord in kendra will drive him towards a good yoga.
Mercury/mercury will be nuetral as per my knowledge,But overall his dasha will be fruitfull.Here mercury is in yamaamsa in d-10 which says dharmic path and sun natural upholder of dharma is in his own house with jupiter in Navamsa this is a good placement.

After mercury mahadasa entered there is only one job done,and by this time she should have got lot of experience why and where the problem is there.Mercury,also the planet of communication will tell her how to handle the situation which will take some time.Again in april 2013 she will get one good opportunity,ask her to sustain that job and also ask her what kind of problem she is facing personally as a friend.
Coming to curses,there are some classics which talk about these curses.If a natural benefics like jupiter,venus are being aspected by two or more natural malefics or afflicted with nodes there will be curse.In such case also prayers to Lord ram will be enough.

I tried asking her the issue she faces, according to her it's either office politics or her supervisor who started disliking her. Also she said there are performance issues.
She is currently working for last 5 months and around last week has been rated last in the appraisal, according to her, her supervisor doent like her and she might have to leave this job also in another month or two.

The lagna lord Jupiter is placed in the tenth house and is combust and is forming a sakata yoga with moon who is the 8th lord of the rashi. This particular yoga can give a lot of ups and downs especially in career as Jupiter the lagna lord is placed in the tenth house of profession.
But the dispositor is strong and well placed and that is why she keeps getting a job again. Actually Mercury is placed in swati nakstatra and is close to the karma saham representing profession. Since the mercury dasha is on getting a job should not be too much of a trouble.
She must propitiate both Jupiter and moon daily for a period of 77 days. Just ask her to chant the moon and Jupiter portion of vyasas nava graha stotra 11 and 12 times respectively and on Thursdays ask her to have curd rice as an offering to lord dakshinamurthy to ward of this trouble.

Vasumathi yoga is weak because the yoga causing planet jupiter is combust and another natural benefic mercury is the badhakesha. .Sakata yoga is in no way cancelled.
For a yoga to be strong, the yoga causing planet should be un tainted and not associated with melefics...Here jupiter is not only combust but is also conjunct saturn.

You can take Vasumathi Yoga either from Moon or from Lagna and not in parts from both.
If we consider from moon then Jupiter does not cause Vasumathi.
Yes Venus does cause from the moon, but, it is actually tainted because of the aspect of Saturn.

Ofcourse sir,I am considering from anyone only,and yes venus aspected by mars and saturn.I noticed vasumathi yoga at first glance but did not sakata yoga.

So we fix the lagna as Gemini. The lagna is in sandhi making the chart weak. The lord of 10th is in the 12th. He may succeed abroad or jobs related to export organisations.
There are chances that after June he may find a job, in moon mercury.
One word of caution here - Mercury is the atmakaraka and its periods / subperiods can also be very troublesome.
Ask him to propitiate both Vishnu and Lakshmi.
The best way would be to chant Vishnusahasranama daily in the mornings and also any stotra for lakshmi in the evenings.
Ask him to feed cows with Humming Bird Tree Leaves (Agathi Keerai) for 6 continuous fridays.

Mercury is also lord of gulika and mandi,which shows the maraka nature.That doesn't completely mean bad all the times,association of venus reduced the maraka nature.He should be cautious about his health in that period.
