chaks ji,

that is so true. As Ahalya had to wait for Rama's feet to touch her, so might the lizard be waiting for a similar person's right thigh to pounce upon and get promoted. :D

Shri Rama never touched ahalya. She was restored by Shri Rama's drishti :)

Dear Sonu ji,

Good day to you :)
I think Valmiki Ramayana doesn't mention the episode as Rama touching Ahalya. But I remember reading in the Padma Purana and Adhyatma Ramayana as such.
This is the paragraph from Adhyatma Ramayana where Ahalya praises Lord Rama.

Aho krutharthosmi Jagan nivasa,
They padabhja samlagna raja ganath aham,
Sprusami yath padma sankaradhibhir,
Vimrusyathe randhitha manasai sada.

Oh God of the universe,
I am grateful to you,
For touching me with,
The dust of Your feet,
For it is being longed for,
By Lord Brahma and Shiva,
And they are sad in not getting it.

Also Kamban's Ramayana says the episode that way.
Please correct me if I understood the Shlokas wrong.

very sincerely,
Sunny

Hi,

Just watched haunted movie with my family members at home....now everyone is sleeping and I m sitting with my 81 year old Grandfather....I asked him '' Do ghosts really exist?''.....He said ''Ghost ??...evil spirits do exist!'' .I again asked him '' have u ever seen an evil spirit?''......He said '' No, but many ppl have seen and experienced evil spirits.

My father is a senior govt officer. In 1985,he was posted to South-Eastern U.P.We lived in a big house built by Britishers(for British officers before Independence). Those houses were definitely haunted  .I was just a kid back then. But,I still remember that incident and will never ever forget that in my whole life.I saw a dark man(he was looking dark as it was night) who was walking upside down  and entered in the house next to us through the closed door..I can never forget that.

I m not scared of anything in life but sometimes the situations are very adverse ...and whenever I feel that I close my eyes and remember my favourite God.My two brothers always advise me not to remember him as I m a girl ....and my answer is always the same...'' I m not gonna marry him'' .I m just his favourite child. He has always saved me even from death that too for four times....so he will certainly save me from every bad situation and evil spirits. ....so evil spirits beware of my bodyguard

Hi Sita,

I don't believe in ghosts either--I mean the scary faces, we see on horror movies--but I believe in spirits. I feel they exist. There's a books called 'Life Beyond Death' by Swami Abhedananda. It's a spiritual book, but there, the author talks about spirits, and his coming in contact with them, during seances. You can read that book, I am sure you will like it. There are some pictures of spirits too in that book, which were taken, while they came down to interact, with the people, who had called them in the seances.

Omen is not universal for all
Offering to
Statue or a deity of temple may be revered by a follower
for a thief ,he seeks therein something to be sold

The moon represents the ebb and flow; monthly cycle in women and be considered an omen for abundant creativity, however,it is not the same it faces the phase of waxing and waning .

I like the omen of crows in the morning they represent saturn, the lord of justice,a superstitious omen may make you selfish; for me seeing a widow must be a better omen because the destiny has given her additional courage, same in case of a physically challenged person .

This happened just a few days ago!

I dreamt that I was being let go in a very horrible way. Needlessly, i woke up up panicked and spent the morning on the internet trying to figure out what it symbolized. I prepared myself mentally for this situation.

Around 4 days later, a close friend called us and said that he was in the process of this happening to him and asked for help as to what to do.

I have been spooked by this.

What do you mean by 'being let go'?
"Go thou and follow Him, who was born and gave His life for others five hundred times before He attained the vision of the Buddha!" -- Swami Vivekananda
