my greetings to all members of this forum.
i just joined this forum 5 years hence.
i was in a lot of trouble about 5 years back and joined ASTROLOGY
FOR THE SOUL website forum in 2004 and put in my chart for paul
to assess....(i still have the link to replies on that forum)
i had already taken a plunge in the life of meditation in 2002(though i
am a businessman since 1997) but went bankrupt and going through everything that can go wrong in one's life.
paul had told me that mine is a spiritual path in life and sent a personal
e-mail to me that i would get over bankruptcy and can help me with
almost negligible amount to see my horoscope in detail., as i had no money at all.
i got married last year(very late at age of 35) ,have got a beautiful wife
and daughter and my business is going great guns.
this thread is in thanking people for helping through vedic astrology
though i feel 99% are fakes and half cooked knowledge.

i was busy yesterday.
anyway,
you are right. i have 4 planets in moksha house 4,8 and 12 and
exchange between 8th(satrun) and 12th(venus) house lords being in 12th
and 8th respectively.
my atmakarakara is venus located in 8th with debilitated jupiter.
lagna(gemini) lord mercury is placed in ninth house with sun and rahu
mars in seventh. chandra is in 4th and ofcourse ketu in first.
in 2002, i took sannyas from one of the direct disciples of osho.
this was after i went through traumas which were emotional as well as financial.
before 2002, i had gone to many gurus all over india and almost all temples
from kanyakumari,madurai to Kshir bhawani in srinagar.
to find peace.
sannyas for me just means to go on with my duties of the world without
getting into the world and that is possible only when one meditates.
so 1 hour of daily meditation (there are many techniques...vipassana
being the most basic of all techniques) is a must.
i feel that all other talks and lectures and morality are all crap and
except meditation nothing helps as our mind is against trasformation.
of course, sometimes near death accidents or big tragedies can help in transforming too..
i belonged to a very rich family of delhi and hosted many so called sadhus etc. and with my eyes have seen a man(i wont name)who was our guest and who now
heads one of the biggest,oldest yoga institute in india, being beaten
up by our servant for trying homosexual advances(..and he was a celibate)...so i was never a yoga and bhajan guy anyway.
i have a deep desire for material and married life as per my rashi chart
(rahu and mangal)but please take a close look at navamsha.
i always wanted to live a rich life with beautiful woman.
i have to live that life with awareness to learn!! there is no other way out.
please let me have your comments.

even though i have been studying astrology books since few years,
i think it is a vast subject and nobody can master it and i feel like a complete
novice.
those few, who get intuitions and maybe are highly evolved souls wont tell
a thing which common astrologers or people think are important in life.
rahu means desire but isnt it desire alone that can lead our way through desire?
anyway, i will tell you my way of looking at charts.
your ascendant is leo.
the lord of ninth house (which has very high ashtakvarga points)
is debilitated in 12th but exalted in navamsha chart in 4th house.
this is neechbhanga for mars as well as chandra . this means a lot of struggle initially but a lot of success,money,house cars subsequently.
most of the planets are in star/substars of budh and rahu which
makes you go after money,fame power in big way.
4 planets in 5th house in navamsha makes sannyasi yoga and will let you
go after meditation and all soemwhere down the line(navamsha is later
part of life)guru shukra conjunction in 8th house will help you in this.
the seeds for spirituality will be sown while living abroad when you will

only and all people in this world have it in their charts somewhere as
it is the most essential requirement of our lives.
when i was 21 and showed my chart first time to an astrologer, i was made
scared to death when told that i have a debilitated jupiter and JUPITER IS
GURU OF DEVAS and what not....
the mahadasha of debilitated jupiter has been a roller coaster ride emotionally,
materialistically,spiritually....BUT IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
i was rich born in a very rich family.

to pay rent for new house too. now all is fine and have own house at
one of better places in delhi...now am getting fed up of all this again.
started meditating 3/4/5 hours a day and did that for 4/5 years and almost stopped working.

as far as your statement that exalted planets give more willpower to
fight back.... i dont think this is true.
my wife has 3 exalted planets shani,surya,chandra and 2 own house
shukra,mangal and has vargottama jupiter.
but she gets upset very fast and loses the will to fight completely.!!!

more so, when astrologers themselves are not sure about themselves
(k n rao says that any astrologer making right predictions upto70%
for 15 years or more should only be considered VERY GOOD)
anyway,

rahu, whose mahadasha you are undergoing till 2015.
rahu works mysteriously.

i know these people as rebellious (hence independent and sometimes geniuses too).
the main purpose of human life is moksha.
it isnt possible unless a person is rebellious because you have to shed
everything given to us by society,family,cultures.
in the beginning it is in the form of outright rebellion and anger and then
it transforms (under the guidance of right guru,meditation etc.)into great
compassion and love for humanity.
why do everybody looks at debilitated planets,sade sati and guru chandal or such
yogas with disdain and fear.
i feel sad that

further to my earlier post , i would like to tell all my friends
that i am going through sade sati myself
i am gemini ascendant with moon in virgo.
and the intenser part
when saturn comes to moons house is going to start in september.
believe me, it has been very tough first phase and everyday in the
morning i get up with a crazy mind... and prefer that i dont get up at all.
but, i get up and meditate for about an hour and just go on.
it is very very taxing on the mind and new problems,things crop up everyday.
i am learning to take everything in stride with a smile and i want
my friends to try the same.
life is beautiful with all its beauties and pains.

Does someone can tell me more about my chart. I feel there's no hope in getting better off the situation i am in for almost 6 years. I am really confused and exhauseted to expect and to have hope in improvement. My details are:

i am absolutely novice but since you are asking, i will tell you my
amateur views.
your mahadasha of rahu is going on and its very very mischievous.
it started just few years back and would go on till 2022/23.
i see not much wrong in debilitated planets. you just have to work
on yourself to make things allright. these are just out of alignment
energies (like we have to re-balance and re-align tyres of a car to make
it run smoothly) and we have to work on them.
we are not slaves of any planets...
there is no other way to work on oneself except meditation., so start
with buddhism maybe.
all good lectures,books,vedas or whatever dont help as transformation
is most personal thing and everybody is different and needs to
understand oneself and then work on it.

thanks a lot about your opinion. i didn't mentip up there in the post that i'm practising bhakti-yoga and also learning jyotish bymyself and i just wanted to point out some question about my chart.sometimes i understand it very well sometimes i have doubts and think i am in a wrong thinking. i difinitely agree with you that planets are tool of our karma duties and we have to align our energy so we can work (live) in better levels,but you know yourslef it isn't easy... but that't the trick - managing to improve yourself beside the live arrangements. Do you think my debilitation of Jupiter is cancelled by Saturn 3th aspect from 8H to 10H (own)? And yes i am in Rahu MD,and it's such a provokative time and so hard to bear sometimes. I think,because Rahu is in Aries (inimical sign) it produces this very challenging atittudea and circumstances (especially in Lagna) because Mars rulership? And what about the mutual exchange of Mars/Mercury 6/8 Houses? How shal i consider it and what aspect it shall give? I know thata planets in mutual exchange and aspect (parivratana) is mean planet in swakshetra and empower the planet's ruler houses.. So many question,you know) Thanks
