Venus Retrograde

Please can somebody tell me the affects of venus being retrograde in the ascendant. In particular a Taurus ascendant.

Being retrograde, would venus have the opposite effect to being non retrograde?

Hello Again, I found you from your last post.
You can never get an answer to an isolated question.
Such as, what does getting a university degree mean? Well, what degree is it? from which university in which sountry? did you pass only or do exceptionally well? were you concentrating? etc

There could be a terrible aspect on venus, or a benefic aspect. These would change it and have to be mentioned.

Yet since venus is in its mooltrikona sign, is lord of and is in the ascendant, retrograde, you will most likely be someone who has very beautiful features, somewhat white skinned, make very good decisions, love harmony and people see that from the way you handle relationships, since venus would aspect the 7th from the lagna. It may make you very logical and somewhat practical or crafty, as it is retrograde it will strengthen the astral qualities of the sign, it is also in a fixed earth sign. Also Venus is a kapha planet, from ayurveda (Vata pitta kapha- your study of astrology is incomplete given this perspective). This implies that you could be voluptuous. As a kapha graha, you could very much enjoy luxuries and may infact suffer because of these luxuries, ie too much laziness on the coach = no excercise = diseases or imbalances because of luxurious lifestyle etc just something to look for. haha

You might also dampen your personality for your partner, you could give them the right of way. as taurus asc is you and 7th sign is scorpio, ie colour of venus is white and colour of mars is red, mix them, yo are left with red. This shows you will let your partner in control etc opposite for scorpio asc

Depending on the nakshatra you could be involved in modeling, as taurus is all about being sensual to some extent.

You can see how this is all a jumble and is innacurate here or there because once again, you cannot answer isolated questions.
Please give all the relevant information next time, so that people will see that you have some grounding in astrology, and will therefor care to answer you.

Thank you so much for replying to this. I now see fully that my questions need to give a more comprehensive question in order to get a reply. I've not been looking at Vedic Astrology for very long (a couple of years on and off) but I find it fascinating and am trying to learn as much as I can. I am starting to get to grips with grahas/rashi's and the basics now and I will keep reading and learning as much as I can. I quite like asking questions on the forums because it helps me understand and learn.

Thanks for all the information on Venus retrograde. It wasn't actually my own chart but someone elses and it is very interesting what you say and it does ring true despite you not even having all of the chart information.

Yes, my stomach issues are not nice, and I now have a remedy to try thank you to this forum. I will look into ayurveda, QiGong and 5 tibetan rites as you suggest.
