I will appreciate your opinion about effects of Retro Saturn in a natal chart. Some astrologers say that retro saturn delays further the results of house where it is positioned. Could you please elaborate effect of retro saturn when it occupies its exalted sign, own sign,debilitation.

Indeed,I have retrograde saturn.
Delay is the basic nature of saturn,when retrograde its basic nature is merely enhanced,however,those who keep patience are adequately rewarded by saturn.
A retrograde planet may also be considered one step behind,that is,4th saturn may give result akin to being in third House.

I have two retrograde planets in my chart where Scorpio is the ascendent. Saturn is retrograde in the 5th house and Mercury is retrograde in the 9th house. Going by what you say, Saturn should give results akin to that of the 4th (which is its own house) and Mercury should give results akin to that of the 8th house (again, own house). I was not aware of how to read retrograde planets and thinking about Saturn in the 4th house and Mercury in the 8th house makes my chart stronger than I thought it is (IMHO). However, I have always felt that I am very unlucky and also I have faced and continue to face delays in most aspects of my life. Could Saturn and Mercury be the reason for this? Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

I would suggest that you find a place where birds gather, and feed as many birds as possible.

a retrograde planet may give effect of previous house
however
giving effect of previous house does not equate with being placed in the previous house.
The principle of aspects remain the same for retrograde

Hi revribhavji,I have retrograde saturn and it aspects my 5th house,the destiny has bestowed me talented boys,I feel retrograde saturn is an asset provided one's karma is acceptable.
It is good to know that with aspect of Saturn on to 5th house you have talented boys,even I have retrograde Satrun aspecting 5th house from 3rd house,it is good to know that I will have children atleast because I thought this position would deny children,,thanks

Im running my Ve/Sa dasa (which i think is said to be benefic if Ve and Sa are in dustana)
Ve is in 12th and Sa is in 6th

A retorgrade planet may give effect of being in the previous house,the intention of ancient astrologer who observed that was not that the said dictum applies in every case. Apart from retrograde, saturn inny9our chart is the most powerful in terms of shad bala and the aspect of venus (in conjunction with own house mercury) is friendly.
