Pl see: http://www.trans4mind.com/personal_deve ... cts.htm#o1 The Conjunction

The conjunction occurs when a planet lines up with another planet or other part of the chart. Two planets are said to be in conjunction when they are with 8 degrees of each other (within an orb of 8 degrees). They can be moving together, which makes the conjunction stronger, or moving apart.

When two parts are in conjunction, they tend to combine their energies, and reinforce each other.

Because they are in conjunction when they are within 8 degrees of each other, it is possible that each planet is in a different house and sign from the other. This means the different houses or signs would tend to combine together.

Noticing a conjunction is easy because the planets are close to each other.

For instance, if Venus and Saturn are in conjunction, it means "to harmonise and to control are blended together". So what does this mean in English? "You seek your pleasures in a controlled manner. You exert control over others in a beautiful fair way...."

The closer they are the stronger is the conjunction. If within one degree, it means planetary war and one is victorious. Here there are different theories as to who is victorious.
If sun is involved, it is combustion of other planets, rahu, ketu and moon are exceptions.
Even for this there are different theories.

DEv,

You aptly described the conjunction.

People does get afraid of conjunction of enemy planets in a house(Sun-Saturn, Moon-Mer, Mars-Saturn). But closeness of the planets needs to be gauged closely before coming to any conclusion.

Thanks Moits
People should know if the two planets are separated by one degree or even less or close to 30 degrees or so. Also if the planets are friendly or enimical. In case of enimical conjunction, they can do the required pariharas continuously and they would for sure see improvements.

You are bang on target, Dev. Faith in god and correct remedial measure can do wonder for the native.

Unfortunately, these days astrology is been used for wrong purpose. I see many website which has all the garbage on the name of astrology. Also, I have seen many astrologers are minting money by terrifying natives by taking horrible yoga in their charts. These "by chance astrologers" are not only cursing the science but also cursing themselves.

Diksha,

Moon and Venus soft planet, and can be easily get affected by the planet aspecting them. Also, Effect of conjunction can varies depending upon lordship of the houses.

I know a girl who has moon-venus close conjunction in 11th house; She is aries lagna. On her case, the lord of 2th, 4th and 7th house is in 11th house. She had many casual relation, usually a group of friends from which she kept changing her boy friend. She is now married to a rich boy who has lot of inherited wealth.

Any conjunction will bring effect depending on lordship, aspect and relation between the planet.

Regarding Venus-Ketu conjunction, they does have opposite nature. Natural traits of venus can be easily nailed by ketu. In this case, however, transit of ketu plays a important role.

Yoga means "a union" of one or more Bhutas in to one place and leading to modify its original qualities.
if that specific union supports Royal associations then it is call a Raj yoga.
If that particular union affects on earnings badly, it is called a Daridrayoga.

Anyway we use a special techniques to create YOGAS for ourselves by Prayogas in Muhurthas.

How a particular yoga is evaluated is sometimes difficult, since balas, nature of the planets, dasas and placements have to be evaluated.
