Astrological principles are not funny, they are permanent. You are destined to suffer as Saturn, the Planet of Justice is in the 8th House. It tests the patience of the native to bear the adverse cicrcumstaces to the extremes.
Transit saturn leaving the sign leo, sometimes in september would give you relief,at least compared to what you suffer presently.

Coolgirl,The bad results are that such person is deprived of the company of near and dear ones, that is good friends,is sick, narrow minded, keeps the company of wicked people, such persons are so cunning that no one can dupe them, further, such a person seeks the defects in others which you did by stating (quote) " no one will answer all the questionsin one sitting...", definitely not on the astrological principles.
In effect the intelligence of people having Saurn in the 8th is diverted to bad habit of fallacious arguments.
I hope you can improve yourself by getting rid of bad saturn, the choice is yours.
As I stated in the other post, bad effects of Jupiter are making the matter worse till 34 th year of age.
Rest assured, you are not destined for such bad period in the coming months,I have not only Saturn in the 8th but Ketu in the 5th also like you.Though I faced major accident in my 36 th year, surgery two times, yet I am reasonably healthy.
As per the astrology, this saturn does justice to the native, first punishing for one's own past Karma, then making one happy in the second half of life.

The aspect of Lagnesh Jupiter on 5th Lord Mars confirms You shall have children.I have two sons,as for the wicked people around you ,it would be better for you not to retort or argue immediately, keep patience and with the passage of time things will change.
Remember, saturn in the 8th is not bad ,it tests one to the extremes, yet the final result is good.

Try some problem solving: maybe you and your husband should move out of your in-laws' house, if you hate them so much. Regular exercise is also very good for health-are you taking any? Why not get a job, too? Getting out of the house is often a good move. This is my approach-instead of passively waiting for things to get better, why not do something positive?

Hi,
I know India is different from the West, but one could argue that a person's duty to his wife outweighs the obligation of actually living with his parents. I still think you as a couple should move out. Is your husband the only child? If not-maybe one of his siblings could help out more, esp if thy all get along better. Why does the entire burden have to be on him?

Saturn in the 8th is capable of extreme humiliation and isolation one faces ,however,as I observed, this Satuurn is like a teacher, first punishment for years like hard traning and thereafter the fruits of your labour are rewarded.
Coolgirl,You have mercury playing a significant role. Both Fifth lord Mars, though Combust, signifying delay & Sun,the 9thlord,are in the Nakshatra Ruled by Mercury.
I have checked your Yogini Dasa,Period from July 09 to Julu 10 results are:Bhadrika-ruled by - Mercury-- Benefic-- Good results. Career, social status.
I hope your desires are fufilled during this period.
My sincere advise to you is try to get the blessings from those who are really enemies, the results would be wonderful.
I know your first reaction would be negative,as Saturn in the 8th makes one hesistant to change attitude.I emphasize ,you need the blessings from heart of enemies,no need of words.

Hi,
I know how you feel. I live in California as well, as does my sister. She was recently widowed. Despite having been married to an American (non-Indian) once her Indian friends heard her husband had died, they all dropped her like a hot potato! And as she lives close to Silicon Valley, full of hot young hip modern trendy well-off Indian IT entrepreneurs and their (presumably) hot hip trendy modern well-off wives, it was very shocking as that is when you need your friends most-it is not the time you expect to lose your friends. Neither of us has any use for this community anymore. So-I understand how you feel-the community here can act as if it was still living in the 15th century. Nonetheless, instead of going on and on about getting blessings from your enemies (what does that actually mean?) I would suggest taking some action. Why not see a marriage counselor with your husband? You and your husband really need to move out. Even living a few doors away would help-he could still see his parents. Insist on your sister in law taking her share of the burden. People wonder why I never married. This is why-Indian in-laws-the kiss of death. You are not breaking the law: they might be upset at first but they would get used to it. Or buy a house and have THEM move in with YOU. Who owns the house anyway? If it is your husband, I would point that out to them. THey are just tenants and had better behave. If not-tell them to go back to India. It does not give them any right to abuse you-and the Indian community in the US does have abuse hotlines to deal with this kind of thing within the family-in fact that might be a good place to start.

Coolgirl,I do not mean that that after 2010 it will not be good time forever, try to make the most of the good time coming.
Keep patience, the good quality of saturn, and things will change, rather slowly.
Nobody can make a fool of a person having Saturn in the 8th,but,it will test you like on a grindstone.

Hi everyone,
I did not mean to get involved in this discussion but when I saw Maharani's reply I could not help but wonder.
Maharani you say that duty to one's wife should be greater than to one's own parents but you say yourself that you have never been married. How would you know?? I agree that coolgirl has a problem but telling her husband to ignore his parents is not the solution.
I am pretty sure that Maharani is the type of person who when she is old will be complaining one day about children ignoring their parents and will very conveniently forget the piece of advice that she herself gave today.
Duty to one's parents should always come first, in my opinion, because they are the ones who love us the most and in this modern day and age it is even more true because divorces are so common. Who knows when the person that you forsook your parents for will leave you. And you forsook the ones that love you the most for someone who couldn't even remain faithful to you???
I agree coolgirl that you have a problem. But telling your husband to ignore his parents is not the solution and if he follows your advice then I only have pity for the man.

I dont mean to interfere in this discussion but this post caught my attention as I have Saturn in the 8th house as lagna lord.
