In the original context of astrology, going abroad was "Desh Nikala" or someone kicked out of the country - usually a disgraceful/ negative and stressful occurence.

In today's context, it is sometimes taken as a good thing due to a higher earning power for similar services provided by many western nations

4th house lord has to be affliced and "in trouble" for one to leave one's homeland. The strong ther influence, the greater the distance and/ or time of seperation

You have a strong horoscope. A very strong lagna lord in 9th house...but it is also retrograde which can at times give meddling results

However due to the following, I do believe that you will eventually go abroad, at least temporarily:

1) venus, a yoga karaka is 4th lord, even though relativley strong, it is 12th to its own house (loss)
2) exalted and strong rahu in 4th house

first half of venus MD will give results of Libra...so 9th house and also venus is 7th from its own house...hence 7th house effects...second half of venus MD or 10 yrs will be from taurus or 4th house and since venus is 12th to it, then 12th house effects which are foreign residence

Keep in mind that for people with taurus, leo, scorpio and aquarius ascendants, the 4th house is a STHIRA or FIXED rashi and if the lord is strong, they usually dont move around much ...if the 4th lord is highly affliected though, then they keep shifting

usually people with movable rashis in 4th house tend to shift residence a lot and travel more....

when in leo, it was your 12th house and hence right from mid 2007 changes were slowly developing for a big move and change in life style which gets triggered usually towards the time when saturn leaves le0 (12th finally ) and enters 1st (virgo) of a new beginning...it was also aspecting jupiter, the MD lord and lord of 4th house from a direct aspect opposite from Leo

I am curious if 1998-2000 when saturn was transiting over Aries - your 8th lord, the direct aspect on venus (a high order strong benefic ruling 2nd and 9th was good) but aries being 8th lord would have given some big changes also...maybe big changes within the country you were living in...some ill health and maybe some kind of inheritence also....

In 1992 I was running Venus MD.

In 2000 I moved to another part of the country where I was living, and I got a good job. However, most of 1998 and 1999 were pretty difficult. I was without a good job for the whole of that time. However, there were no health problems.

I see you have been very active in dicussion of return to homeland topic..would you be able to predict that for me- will that happen since I do want it but am looking for the right opportunity and time. Tula rashi- Vrishchik lagna. Sun in 10th house with Me, Sat in 8th house with ketu, Rahu in 2nd house. jupiter in capricorn 3rd house and Venus in virgo 11th house. Mars in 6th house.

also usual indicators of a long term residence abroad :-

1) connection between Lagna lord and 12th
2) connection between 12th and 9th house/ lord
3) connection between Lagna lord, 9th and 12th is most ideal
4) connection between 4th with 12th

connection can be conjunction (same house) or mutual aspect or rashi interchange or nakshatra interchange
also if lets say aries ascendant, if moon (4th lord) sits saggitarius (9th) and in pisces navamsa...then pisces being 12th lord, moon (4th) gets connected to both 9th house and 12th house....in this case jupiter rules both 12th and 9th and if there is a strong connection between moon and jupiter, foreign residence will be seen

I have 12th & LL lord Sa + 9th lord Ve + 5th lord Me all together sitting in 5th house. Based on above analogy, I should have had gone abroad for higher education during Me MD but I could not despite all efforts & good score just because I didn't get visa.
I am not asking for chart analysis so not posting birth details. But want to check the above points. Looking at my chart, everyone says this foreign education unless they know me. How would you explain this? Also, currently Sa is in 12th from moon & I am running Ve MD (4th & 9th lord), what would you like to comment on my residence....India or Abroad? Shall it give effect from 4H & keep me in India or give effect of 9H and keep me abroad?
Also, Ju in my 12H, which is currently transiting my 7th house from moon. Ju in 12H gives earning in foreign land which I don't have, how would you explain this?

I found this discussion very interesting.I went to USA in Dec 2004 for 4 months but my husband's stay kept on getting extended and we were there till feb 2011.We eventually changed cities in Jan 2010 and left for India in March 2011.But we couldn't stay in India a for very long time.Changed flats within 6 months of time in India itself and then moved to UK in september 2011.We've been there since that time.Can someone reason with so many change of residence within one particular year(2011).But our stay in UK had not been a pleasant one though.I had a burglary in November last year and had lost quite much and had lots of mental tensions and physical ailments.Is there a chance of going back to homeland in my case?

you cn take my chart as an example(25th oct 1985, tm- 17.35, plce- 88e15 27n15,5.30ist) see 4th lord moon is in 12th house, i ws send to boarding school during my moon antardasa sat. Mahadasa nd again moon antardasa is on nd m away frm my home for studies...recently i consultd an astrologer she said i'l be better off if i stay away frm my home though my chart doesn't look good,farther the better...she mentioned its because of relatn. Between jup. Nd moon, moon being lord of 4th in 12 in jup.'s Sign nd there is a nakshatra exchange between moon nd jup. Nd jup. Being lord of 9 nd 12 in 10 ,on top of that without any malefic influence in these combinatn. Though jup. Is debilatd,but she didn't mentioned about my foreign residence...
