Its the sign of Rahu. As long as you don't pet one it is a good sign.

Dear Ann,

Pigeons are the carriers (and so is Rahu) of messages (good and bad) if you confine them to your house and your surroundings it is believed that the entire life comes to a stand still, but if you have a well placed Rahu then you won't know the difference. In olden days pigeons carried messages during the time of wars those messages had an effect on the outcome of the battles so they were considered enormously important, but those birds do carry same genes even now. So this omen applies only to Pigeons or Doves but different effects are attributed to different birds or animals, all these omens are solely based on documented experiences written by old seers and doesn't apply to vedic astrology. Feeding crows is considered as blessing from Saturn where as an attacking crow is considered curse.

Take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqLU-o7N7Kw - this man is protected by Saturn and Ketu.

Best

Edit: Squirrels are good omen.

Don't know much about Squirrels, I think they symbolize sharing of burden, good sign when somebody is ill. Same applies to fox and mongoose.

Dear Ann,

Birds and animals are carriers of messages/ signs / symbols from the higher realms of spirit world. Messages can be both good or bad...someone in the spirit world who is connected to you trying to send a mesage

Insects and reptiles are carriers of messages/ signs / symbols from the lower realms of the spirit world......or from etheral bodies.
These would be messages with pleas for help tby those who are stuck in etheral world...... or requests for prayers by those who need to move from the lower hellish realms of the spirit world to higher realms.

regards

How does one distinguish between a good message and a bad message I wonder. Are you familiar with the meanings of animals i.e squirrel. Thank you for answering this post by the way.

Ann

often times I have seen a person gets intutive in getting weither good messages or bad...rarely both.

so you have to learn to read and correlate the visit of birds and animals....with the events that happen therefater.
after a few events you would know whether to expect good or bad

Ann...

Since you have been assessing Vedic related information, for Squirrel related Epic... I would take you to our Ramayan... a sacred for Hindus. You would have read about Sita devi been kidnapped by Ravan(an asura but a well learnt scholar) to Lanka ( now presently is Sri Lanka). After performing Lord Shiva's pooja at Rameshwaram, south most corner of India. Rameshwaram and SriLanka is seperated by Ocean. To conquer Lanka and Set free Sita devi from Ravan's captivity, Lord Ram started consyructing a bridge across the Ocean from Rameswaram and Lanka.

When the construction of the bridge was going on at Rameshwaram by lord Rama , a little squirrel was also there in the team work. All of a sudden lord Rama noticed the squirrel running here and there. He saw that the squirrel rolled on the sand and then ran at the construction site to shake off the sand from its back. The squirrel was doing the same work without stopping with chanting the lord Rama’s name all the time. When asked, the little squirrel replied that she was helping to build the bridge to save Sita. On hearing such touching words Lord Rama took the squirrel in his hand and patted her back with his fingers. With his fingers Lord Rama drew 3 lines on her back. Since then the squirrel has the mark of three stripes on its back.

Possibility is someone helping you or you are helping someone from the clutches of hardships.

Hello,

Can someone explain the following two omens for me? Have tried to look online, cannot find any info.

If you are talking and a bird (in this case, a pigeon) flies straight towards you and then continues to fly overhead.

If you are talking and a lizard makes a sound (this I have seen is an indicator that what you say is true), but what if shortly after, a lizard falls of the ceiling in front of you, and then quickly climbs up a nearby door wall? What is the significance of the latter?

Thanks,
Acharya

Just wanted to add that I feed crows and they eat in perfect harmony with the neighboring squirrels. Quite happy to share with each other. But there's a black cat in the vicinity who terrorises them all. They run away when he's around.

I think squirrels are very gentle and sweet creatures. Cannot ever believe them to be ill omens. But I am fond of crows too, and don't believe they are bad either!

Hi Ann

This response is, kind of, outdated. Was your husband having worries about financial future or fear of future financial security when this happened?

Ann

i came across information today that squirrel represents help for those who are worried about their financial future even though they may actually have more than what the worry warrants. so i wanted to confirm.
