Just now I realized something about my chart. I had never thought this way before: in my chart only Saturn aspects the ascendant and ascendant lord—no other planet has any influence on my ascendant and ascendant lord in my chart. My atmakarak is also Saturn. It means I will have strong attributes of Saturn. Maybe that is why I started taking interest in spirituality in my Saturn sub-period.

Yes, you are right: something come, stays with us sometime, and then, goes away, and something else comes after that and replaces the previous thing. Nothing is permanent in this world.

Yes, ups and downs keep happening in this world, as the wheel of time keeps rolling. Nothing is constant—everything is subject to change. Astrology shows it to us very clearly—a good period comes and a person achieves success, and then, a bad period comes, and he fails miserably.

One needs to stay detached, I agree. Saturn the planet of detachment is aspecting my ascendant and ascendant lord, and it is the only planet, which influences my ascendant, so I am sure I will develop this detachment in about life to some extent. Too much detachment turns a person into a saint, which I don’t want to be—and I feel Venus my ascendant lord in own sign will take care of that.

About Mars, you are right, it is in the ‘house of flowers’ in my chart, and it’s in that house, where it matters the most. Destiny is fair in its justice—it doesn’t snatch everything from a person: if it takes something, it gives something in return.

About Mahatma Gandhi, he had Libra ascendant and only Rahu-Moon in his 10th house in Cancer, just like I have it, and his Rahu major period was exceptionally good for him. So I am not sure if my Rahu is bad.

I am not sure Mahatma Gandhi's time of birth is correct. It can't be ascertained for such old charts.

I know KN Rao has given his chart, but I don't have much faith in KN Rao and his charts of famous people.

Sagittarian Mars in 3rd not only enhances 3rd and 6th houses, it blocks the benefic qualities of 9th and 10th houses - one is his inimical sign and the other is his debilitating sign.

Sagittarian Mars is not good for Libra Ascendant. But Saturn may counter it to a large extent.

Your life is proof enough that Rahu is malefic in your chart.

Rahu malefic in 8th can give incurable illnesses like Cancer, neurological and psychological problems and Ulcers etc, but pain in bones is Saturn's domain.

Combustion of Saturn in your Rashi 1st house ma have caused it, as well as the delays.

This has to be matched with your Saturn and the general health condition in your chart.

I have experienced delays in getting results in professional field, not in travel - as I am not planning to travel.

In the beginning of Saturn's transit into Libra I had some minor health problems that got resolved later - my Saturn is partially combust and my health condition is good, so in my case this problem was only minor.

Take good care of yourself. It may be that you are exposing yourself to cold.

I have had several such experiences since August. It looks as if I am going to get it, people are very interested to give me, but in the last minute it doesn't materialise for some mysterious reasons. I have been offered double the money I asked for, a higher position than what I wanted and same organisation has come back to me 3 times because I am the best person for the position - not in 1, but in several cases. But in the end, it didn't materialise. Some other applications are pending decision.

These are signs of economy in recession and rising inflation. US is coming out of recession, so you may get it.

As I said above, after 14th of Nov when Sun comes out of eclipse and Saturn comes out of combustion, you may get it, especially being Aquarius Lagna.

I have 2 charts with me who have Lord Saturn in 11th house in Leo. They call came to high level prosperity after 35 or 40 years old. Their success came but very late and it was permanent.

I agree with you that Saturn is very well placed in my chart, and it's conjunction with Jupiter is quite good. I even remember reading in Vaughn Paul's article that as Jupiter-Saturn double transit on a house shows focus on that house during the transit, so even in a natal chart, the house where Jupiter and Saturn both aspects or both are together, the significations of that house gets highlighted all through the person's life. I think it is mentioned in his article on double transit here on his website.

Yes, my elder brother is doing extremely well in life and has been a success throughout. Saturn-Jupiter in the 11th house in my chart, and the 11th lord, Sun, in the 9th house with 9th lord, Mercury, shows it.

It's interesting to hear that you have 2 charts with Saturn in Leo, exactly like in my chart. I completely agree with you that Saturn being a delayer, when placed in the 11th house of gains, it delays gains for the person. And then Saturn influences my ascendant and ascendant lord, so that also shows huge delay in my getting things, but the best part is, Saturn is also the planet of patience, so I have tons of patience, and I accept the slowness of my life with a smiling face, remembering the story of the race between the tortoise and the rabbit, and how the tortoise won in the end, even though it was slow all the time.

I made an interesting observation about this Saturn transit, which I would like to share here. After Saturn transited to my ascendant, I shifted to my new room--actually, I have two rooms now, with a porch, and I am really enjoying it. It's not surprising that it happened when I think of the Saturn transit now: Saturn the 4th lord of home/comforts for my ascendant is exalted in my ascendant in transit now. From the Moon in my chart, Saturn is exalted in the 4th house of home/comforts, too. So it shows that this Saturn transit has been beneficial for me. I love Saturn.

I gave on the previous page of this thread the chart of a person who has got a high-level promotion in this transit - when Saturn-Mars were conjunct in his 11th house.

He has Kala Sarpa Dosha and was running Rahu-Saturn-Rahu at the time of promotion. Overall, his Rahu Mahadasha so far seems to have been much better than his previous Mars Mahadasha, as seen from the details of his life.

Here, I give the feedback about my friend who was waiting for promotion in career - Basab and I had discussed this case sometime back.

Well, she has got her normal promotion on 6th of Nov recently.

Following are her details -

Aquarius Lagna

Rahu in Lagna, aspected by Jupiter from 9th.

Mars-Sun in 10th Scorpio.

Saturn debilitated in 3rd.

Moon sign - Sagittarius.

Current transit on 6th of Nov -

Rahu-Mars in Scorpio her 10th house.

Saturn-Sun in Libra her 9h house, Saturn still combust and Sun debilitated.

Jupiter-Ketu in 4th, aspecing Mars-Rahu in 10th.

Mahadasha combination running -

Rahu-Rahu.

I had said her Rahu Mahadasha is benefic and she should get promotion as well as financial gains in this Mahadasha.

I had hoped for a higher growth for her in this Mahadasha, but her debilitated Lagna Lord Saturn in Lagna chart, combined with combust Saturn in current transit have diminished her gains in this Dasha and Gochar.

However, I had predicted that after 1st of Oct, when Mars leaves Libra, she should get her promotion anytime and she has got it on 6th of Nov - when Saturn was still combust and Rahu was still malefic in her 10th house.

I had said Mars in Scorpio will control Rahu's malefic powers in 10th and this seems to have been true in her case.

She happens to be Aquarius Lagna and has malefic Rahu-Ketu axis in 4-10 axis like all Aquarius Lagna people here in current transit.

While discussing malefic Rahu in Scorpio, we forgot that Jupiter's aspect on Rahu should make Rahu benefic in financial matters.

Well malefics are welcome in 11th house. So retrograde will do good after some delays.

well not actually good combination if they are in 8th house which can mean setback after gains. But money house can be strong and health can be poor.

Thanks for the response Saindhaviji. I have a strong and benefic Saturn in the 5th house in its own sign Aquarius. However all my life I've had delicate health, so I suppose the current issues are just something I have to be careful about. And I have always been very sensitive to cold.....living in a very cold climate doesn't help either, but you're right, the best we can do is to be careful, especially when we know our weak points.

Yes, could be due to malefic Jupiter, 6th lord from both Lagna and Moon sign. It is retrograde in 9th house in Gemini.
