Let me share an interesting case of a dhanu Lagna whose 5th Lord Mars is debilitated in 8th house.
The person is 34 years old and working in some good company.
We know 5th House rules education and children. Afflictions to 5th Lord or 5th House can indicate problems in these areas.
The person completed 12th with difficulty and took many years in completing BCA, after many struggles. He then joined MCA course through distance mode and it has been many years and he is still yet to complete it.
He got married 2 to 3 back but is still childless. It looks debilitated 5th Lord can either completely deny or delay happiness from these areas of 5th house.
Look at the positive aspect of Mars on 2nd house which is an exalted aspect. He enjoys financial protection from his family.

If i am not mistaken, this "exalted aspect rule" is by S.K. Mehta ji. Does this mean every exalted planet will cast a debilitating aspect on the 7th house? Does this mean exaltation automatically afflicts the 7th house? How does this rule work? Any elaboration will be highly appreciated.

I have been using this technique even before I came to know of Sk Mehta ji. As a matter of fact, He just confirmed my belief. Most of the Astrologers in North India use this way and it is also the most logical.

1) Complete Denial of Children
2) DELAY due to medical reasons
3) Early death of children
4) Or, problems in relationships with children.
5) Or adoption but we know most of the times adoption hardly works if a child is a grown up.
In short, the problem can be any of the above mentioned but it is sure that there will be problems with children.

My 5L (also 8L) Mercury is debilitated in the 2H (Pisces) and is conjunct 6L Moon.
Mercury gets a neechbhanga from exalted but retrograde Jupiter (2L & 11L) in 6H (Cancer).
Mercury is in Purvabhadrapada, so again Jupiter comes into play.
Also, 6L Moon (which is conjunct Mercury) is in parivartana with 2L & 11L Jupiter.
I have had excellent education (Science, Law, & Cinema), and have been to top notch institutes of international repute. Never had a break in education.

That is precisely what I was telling Deeps, that it’s wrong to come to a conclusion about a point, just by taking one factor into consideration when there are numerous factors involved in regard to each and every point when checked in a birth chart.
The 2-6 exchange in your chart can mean problems in family, or some disease of eyes or mouth. Moon-Mercury in the 2nd house will make you an exceptionally good talker, and you will have a sweet voice, and you may be a good singer, too. 2nd house being the house of face, you should be very pretty, too.
To check about your education, the 4th house and 5th house also needs to be checked. Maybe the 5th house has good planetary influences. The planetary period is also very important.
6th house is the house of law, and Jupiter is the planet of law, so the 5-6 connection in your chart, and Jupiter’s aspect on the 5th lord, can mean education in law. 5-6 connection also means giving competitive examination. The person does't have any influence on 5th house and no clear cut neechbhanga in his chart. That's why he suffered a complete break in studies. It is simple-5th Lord is debilitated, hence no children and break in education. Further it is debilitated in 8th house.
Karmatrix's feedback that she is still childless do prove this point. Her 5th house connection with 6th house shows that she will possess knowledge in law and also medicine, chemistry, maths, etc. But about cinema, it can be she may be good in reading face expressions. It is kind of diffcult to judge the damage just by 5th lord being debiliated.
Total denial requires damage to functional lord, karaka, affliction and weakness in navamsa or concerned D chart.
Debiliation is definitely a cause of weakness.
But remember here the lagna lord Jupiter is direct and aspecting the lagna and there is a debiliated planet in 8th house. Mars is also owner of 12H and its debiliation in 8H is not so bad or completely catastrophic.
This Mars is not afflcited by Sa.
It is difficult to say with certainity if this debiliation alone caused denial unless we see the full chart.
Mars is getting gets some neecha bhanga here.

So yes, my Venus is connected to Jupiter which in turn is connected to both Moon and Mercury!

Debilitated,retrograde mars in 5th house ( Lord of 2nd and 9th house for meena asc). 5th lord moon is in 4th house gemini. Mars get saturn and venus aspect from 11th house.

In my chart I have 2 lord debilitated in 6th house,3rd lord debilitated in 5th house and 5th lord debilitated in 4th house. I did M.sc In Applied Mathematics and M.Phil in Fluid Mechanics in a reputed University without break in my education. I was married at the age of 25 years . I got son at 28 years. But the problem is with the children because I have 3 miscarriages.
