Religare,
Navamsa is not used for checking career prospects.
Kindly focus on the upcoming job interviews and leave astro aside for a while. It's a sincere advice.

Navamsha should be used for checking any question in the horoscope. It's a 3 step process: check the natal chart, navamsha chart, and relevant divisional chart when applicable. K.N. Rao says that making a prediction using only the natal chart and avoiding the navamsha is akin to an "abortion!" Rather a dramatic analogy but it makes a point of how important the navamsha chart is! Rlg and HN,
Navamsha is used in for every matter for a very simple reason. Navamsha is the varga of the 9th H (fortune), that's why its also called 'Bhagyamsha" or division of luck. Nav is checked for every matter to see whether you have the support of luck in the said matter or not.
For any specific matter, a good navamsha position indicates a favourable fortune regarding that matter, a bad navamsha its reverse. So if there is very good indication in the Rashi chart but a bad Nav, things will still get quite difficult regarding the same matter, and vice versa.

Kool ji,
Thanks.
Are the lordships for navamsa same as D1
For ex: If asc is Scorpio in D1 and Saggi in D9, then should Jupiter be considered 2nd and 5th lord in D9 as well, or shuld it be considered as 1st and 4th lord for D9...and 2nd and 5th for D1?
I have seen some people consider same lordships as D1 in all divisional charts while others have a different opinion.
Thanks.

Religare,
You are running a good planetary period now, and your career house is perfectly fine. If you go for higher studies, you may have to struggle to some extent. You may travel abroad in the Jupiter-Saturn period, which you are running now.

HN,
There are different methods, some put the D1 Lord in the Nav or any amsha and see how he is doing. Some take the nav lords independently.
There is another method, where the H Lord of the Amsha is placed in the D-1 and examined on what angles he is making with the corresponding D-1 Lord. This is called Rashi Tulya Amsha method.
These are complex processes, I'll explain later.

Thanks for sharing the thoughts of Sri KN Rao on navamsha. Really a dramatic analogy.

Though it is said that the d-9 chart should always be checked when making predictions, I have not found it useful, unless when it came to predicting about marriage. But then, that's my experience, so I don't say that d-9 chart should not be checked. Each and every astrologer talks about the importance of the d-9 chart, so it must be important--maybe I don't know how to read it correctly.

I agree with basab here that sometimes Navamsha does not give correct picture. It is my opinion also.
In one case, Venus exalted in 10th house but debilitated in navamsha. Out of 20 years, he suffered for about 3 to 4 years in job. Sade-sati was also running. The native got married around 28-29 years of age.
In another case, Venus is deeply combust and debilitated in 10th house. But exalted in Navamsha. The person is 39 years old but not married yet even though he is well settled. He spent his entire Venus dasha till his early twenties and I am not aware how was his dasha. A very expensive remedy was also done but even after many years no positive development.
Please note that I just shared my own observations. Others are requested to read first and then comment.

Here is my opinion of your navamsa but remeber that I am no professional.
In navamsa there is a strong parivartana between Sun and Jupiter indicating fortune, luck and money with respect to sun significations like father, high position and authority.
Another thing is that Sun is in Pisces closely conjunct Pisces Lors Ketu also indicating the previously said.
Mercury and Rahu signifying Trade, investments and studies are positioned in their mulatrikona Virgo.
They are aspected by Mars and Saturn indicating technical studies or related to engineering and maybe also trades of such things.
Venus Married life karaka is in Capricorn a friendly sign, I believe this may indicate a late marriage or a life partner who is disiplined or hard working.
Furthermore, Venus dispositor Saturn is in Pisces conjunct Sun. Maybe this indicates luxuries, vehicles or marriage through Father or being an authority figure.
Finally, I would be grateful if you tell me more about yourself and about your Father (What is his career? and does he give you money or not ?)
Thank You.
