Hi frns,

6th house frm lagna belongs to health is wat i hav understood..

placement of malefics causes damages the health??

if so, also heard, 6,8 and 12 are the sthanas called hiding place..
i.e. if benefic planets sit, they dont do much good and if malefic sits they dont do much bad.

Then why does malefics placement in the 6th house affects the health??

Functional Malefics of a lagna when it sits in 6th, 8th, 12th houses destroys the bad effects of that houses and brings good results.

Functional Benefics of a lagna can be troublesome if posited in 6,8,12 houses.

Health issues arise when ascendent lord is weak or Natural malefics like Rahu , ketu are in enemy signs of the house.

Same is the case for functional malefics in a lagna.

@ roy_debraj1 : Functional malefic will do good. We cannot use natural malefic as each and every lagna are different.


@sri4105: Natural benefic will become functional malefic and Natural malefic can become functional benefic according to the lagna.

But Natural Malefic like Saturn which is a Functional benefic for some lagnas , if not positioned well, may harm the native more than a Natural benefic like Jupiter, Venus in that same position.

D 1 chart gives lot of inputs regarding the health. D6 chart can be used as an additional chart for confirmation of the seriousness of the disease.

in the 6th house Capricorn - Mars, Ketu, rahu, mercury and moon are conjunct..

i dont think so karthik... around 2003 june he was bed ridden for almost 2weeks due to viral fever....
otherwise he explains that he is often troubled by common cold...

Divisional charts are to be seen only after Seeing Rasi chart . If Rasi chart shows some indication of ill health , then the grievousness of the disease should be confirmed by seeing the divisional charts.

Divisional charts can be used as an additional tool , but Rasi chart is the main tool.

Ketu/moon , or rahu/moon forms some kind of grahan yoga , which is an inauspicious yoga .

For conditions like common cold , he can take garlic or ginger as a home remedy which helps in improving the immune system .
