Chandra Lagna

Can someone please tell me how and when to use Chandra Lagna? I have seen several posts on here where the position of a planet from the Chandra Lagna is seen but I am not sure how to go about it.

How: Use the Moon sign as you would use the Ascendent, i.e., the sign where Chandra is placed becomes the first house, the second house from ChandraLagna becomes the house of family /wealth etc, third for siblings.
When: Almost always, however, depending on relative strengths of Normal [ Udaya Lagna] ascendent or ChandraLagna, one will dominate.

Thank you. Could you please tell me how to generate the Chandra Lagna chart in JHora? Or is the difference only that the moon sign is taken is lagna?

Hi astrolearner15,

Just take the sign in which the moon is placed as the Lagna and read the horoscope normally.
If you want, you can right click the moon sign in JHora, and click on the option that says "show chart from this house". That will rotate the chart and put the moon sign on top.
