Since you are interested in knowing the reasons for delay, I am guessing you understand basic astrology principles, so here it is:

In D1 chart:
- Lagna Aries. LL, Mars is also 8L and is placed in 5H. Parivartana between, 8L and 5L, between a trine and a dushtana lord. Parivartana between, two friends, which strengthens both the friends. 8L, Mars is conjunct with malefic Rahu forming Angarak Yoga but receives benefic aspect of vargottam Jupiter, which is trapped between Mars and Rahu.
- Venus is karaka for marriage, karaka for first spouse in male chart, and in your case it is also 7L.
- Venus receives drishti from 8L Mars and Saturn. Saturn's aspect on 7L/7H/Sun/karakas of marriage usually indicate delay in marriage (not denial just delay). Saturn can delay marriage upto 34 or in some cases upto 36 yrs or later.
- Saturn aspects Sun (see above).
- If you look at the chart, one may feel at first that Kal Sarpa Dosha exist however Mars is outside the grip of Rahu. But Mars is conjunct with Rahu and in NK of Ketu, thus the Kal Sarpa is functional here. Kal Sarpa Yoga can delay the marriage as well as spoil marital happiness.
- Rahu and Ketu are both malefic in this chart. For most of '79-borns esp. the ones towards the end of '79 have a NK parivartan between Rahu and Ketu i.e. Rahu is placed in nakshatra (NK) of Ketu and vice versa. This indicates karmic debt to be paid in this life.
- Malefic Rahu conjunction is taking place in 5H, involving LL/8L and Jupiter (karaka for children), problems in begetting progeny.
- 7L from Moon is Mercury, which is retro, placed inimically, and in sandhi.

In D9:
- Saturn is placed in 7H (Saturn delays does not deny).
- Again Saturn aspects Venus and Mercury.

All factors indicate delay in marriage.

Current dasha:
- Moon-Saturn, Saturn in 7L in D9 and is well-placed in D1 and D9, hence capable of giving marriage. Marriages in Saturn dasha as usually done due to social or some other extreme responsibilities/expectations such as marriage done as it is delayed, marriage done to take care of kids/parents/house, etc.

Since dasha helps, lets see if transit supports:

Current transit:
- Jupiter in 2H (kutumbh sukh) and aspects 7L.
- Saturn in 7H. Saturn in libra will give commitments in relationships.
- Ra/Ke touch 7L in natal chart, however Rahu is currently debilitated.


Yoga for marriage is weak at present, chances of marriage are high post May 2013. Dasha will still be the same, Ra/Ke in transit will touch Saturn and Lagna in D1. Jupiter will be in 7H from moon and aspect 7H from lagna as well as 7L of D9.

Remedies:
- Endless prayers to Goddess Mahalakshmi
- Kal Sarpa Shanti has to be done (Trimbakeshwar is a place where you can get this shanti done. It is also nearest to mumbai).

i came across this post and you have mentioned that saturn aspect can delay upto 34 years for marriage. I'm kinda worried regarding this in my chart. We have discussed my chart in seprate threeads specifically about the marriage timing. I'm reaching the end of my saturn antardasha in my moon mahadasha and nothing is finalized yet. I'm jsut concerned when all the things will come together. can you please revist my chart and tell when the marriage is going to happen.

Aspects will always have an influence on the house and the planets placed therein.

There is a NK parivartan between Shani and sun. IMO, your shani is not negative... it is just causing a delay because that is its inherent nature.

3.does venus-sun conjunction in 8H indicates divorce even if they are apart from each other (28 degree - 5 degree)?
I don't know who told you that. I have never heard of this dictum. Your Venus is not combust and it is in sandhi zone. Venus+Sun in any rashi for a male nativity indicates that spouse will be strong-willed and will have a strong influence of her father. The native may either benefit from it or may have no effect. Father-in-law's influence will be there throughout the marital life. You have more things to ponder in your chart than Saturn and Venus+Sun conjunction. I have already told you what you need to do.

my daughter was born on december 29th, 1980 time 10:40 am delhi, India. please advise if there will be marriage for her this year? and is she will find him out of the home land.

- 7L, Sun in 11H in friendly house. Sun in 8H/own house in navamsa.
- Exalted Mars with Ketu in 12H, person is short-tempered and is a natural fighter... always on a fight. Gives a restless, impatient, and aggressive qualities. 100% mangalik dosha against first marriage.
- 8H, Mercury is combust and is in parivartana with 11L, Jupiter. Between two inimical planets.
- Moon is afflicted been in Mercury's house and in 8H. Conjunct with Jupiter and Saturn. Native will have to face sudden and forced circumstances in life.
- Jupiter is a karaka for first husband and placed in 8H is inimical.
