The 7th House deals with whom you want to seek out for pleasurable companionship as well as indicating what kinds of people are attracted to you. So, for example, my Saturn is in my 7th House (I also have Moon and Ketu but let's leave that out for the time being as my Saturn in 7th is quite strong being almost the final ruler of my chart), so I tend to go about with people who are not so talkative and those that are more detached. Similarly, people who have these characteristics tend to gravitate towards me in for example, opening up to establish bonds, have more empathy towards me etc.
Now the question is, is there a difference for those who have a liking to be with me (the Saturnians) where their Saturn is placed. Usually the strongest effect would be those with Saturn placed in the 1st or 7th house. Other considerations like Saturn's lordship of the Moon, Sun, Ascendant, Karakamsa also apply but in general I find the aforesaid mentioned two factors takes precedence ie. Saturn placed either in the 1st or 7th House.
What is the difference?
For those with Saturn in the 7th, the person's character is Saturnian through his voluntary adjustment when he interact with me. It is important. But for those with Saturn in the 1st, it is also important. That is the person's natural personality.
So if you encounter a chart of a person where the planets placed in the 7th and those placed in the 1st are natural enemies, the person would have a hard time establishing close relationships as his adjusted character is at odds with his natural character. Sometimes outburst is inevitable if the nature of the planets further support that.

Interesting post, liked it very much. I have a question though: does the same rule apply to lords of the 1st and 7th house? I am asking this because I am Libra ascendant with Mars as the 7th lord, no planets in the 7th or 1st house, but I don't like girls with martian nature. Interestingly, Mars is the 7th lord in the D-9 chart of spouse as well.

If there are no planets in either the 1st or 7th house, then you must see where each of the house lord is placed for each of the house ie. more factors to consider and take into account.
If the 1st lord Venus is stronger than your 7th lord Mars AND it is somehow related to Mars by aspect, or Venus disposits Mars then you would prefer girls that are more feminine and not martian.
In this case because Venus is th natural karaka for your mate, even if Mars and Venus are not related anyway in the chart, but Venus proves stronger, then the same would apply ie. you prefer girls that are more feminine in character.
A third reason could also be Mars is in Venus Nakshatra say, Poorva Phalguni, and Venus is also stronger, then the same applies. In his case, don't forget Venus also rules Bharani found in Aires so this would add to Venus influence.
For the three reasons above, even if Venus is about the same strength as Mars by house placement the fact that Mars gets disposited by Venus is enough to listen to the drummer drumming the Venus tune.
A fourth reason is that if you have planets in the 8th house and is strong, sometimes it can override the effects of a lack of planets in the 1st an 7th house. In this case your attraction is more internal and not so much on a companioable level which exists more at a mental level as 7th is an Air House. Then you must scrutinise the planet there to see is it in Venus sign, Venus Nakshatra etc. which has a part in deciding your taste in the kinds of girls you like.
Mars is one planet which does poorly in the 7th house - by sign or placement (even more so than Mercury although both cause Marana Karaka Stanth because Mercury can be a significator for the 7th house as the 7th is the 10th of the 10th - see my earlier post) as it is not a planet that is given to adjustment. So with the above paragraphs taking effect, your liking for Martian girls would definitely be considerably weakened - more so than any other planet. Plus don't forget with Venus ruling Bharani - one of the Nakshatras found in Aires. In fact Mars likes to be single if given a choice - he is a bachelor!
Another reason is that Venus rules the 8th house which is the 2nd house to the 7th house and Mars rules the 2nd house to the 1st house. If Mars is strong in the 2nd house, it does not help the 7th house, but if Venus is strong in the 8th house it helps the 7th house (just like Venus strong in the 1st helps in the 7th also). Thank you for writing in such details. Coming to my chart, I am not sure but I feel my Venus is stronger than my Mars. Venus in my birth chart is placed in the 8th house in its own sign, aspected by Saturn, while Mars is placed in the 12th house in Virgo, an inimical sign. So, I think you are right about your analysis that Venus getting strong in my chart is the reason for my liking girls with attributes of Venus and not Mars. Venus is in the nakshatra of Mars, which I feel could be taken as a connection with Mars. Venus is also in the 8th house, so that again shows my preffering girls, who are more feminine.

Yes, you are correct. In your case when Venus is in the Nakshatra of Mars it would be taken as a connection with Mars rather than the overall point per se that Mars is stronger than Venus because in this case Venus is in its own sign and Mars is not. So Venus is even more so in having a connection with the 7th house in your chart as Mars rules 7th.

I can only use an example of my chart.
I have Venus in the 1st and Saturn in the 7th. Moon and Ketu also in the 7th.
I generally like detached and logical people. People who are not so effervescent in character. I don' quite like being embarassed in public. Yet, I do not mind if the person is a closed one - repreented by the Moon - I do not mind being hug etc. I can also flare up in public - because of Ketu.
So close friends of mine who just know me are sometimes quite surprised that I am generally such a level-headed person and yet I can be so emotional and volatile. Because the Moon and Ketu are in the 7th, my flaring up is actually not spontaneous. I am able to control it if I want to and is also affected by the companions I keep at that point in time ie. the situation confronting me.
Then I become good natured again - naturally (because of Venus in the 1st) - which is why I think pople who are closed to me is quite surprised. But over a long period of time, they learn to accept me as I am and just tell me to control my temper.

Saturn in lagna is bad . This is Maranakaraka Isthana. ( place ).
Because lagna Karaka is Sun. Due to the sun light plants grows and animals eat plants and we human eat plants and animals too.

friends,
i have rahu and moon in my 7th house. and venus and mars in the 10th house and am a cancer lagna.
according to me my mars is stronger than venus, being a yogakarka planet for this lagna and well placed in the 10 th house. please give your opinion
