Rahu Mahadasha - Experience and how remedies are helping me

Hi, Respected learned members,
Thank you Explorings and Saindhavi for initiating this topic and making it interesting,

I wanted to share my sweet experiences that took place in my Rahu Anthardashas, which I experienced for four times so far, during the Mahadashas of Venus, Sun, Moon and Mars, Just now I started Rahu Mahadasha a few days back.

I noticed a significant improvement in my life every time during Rahu Anthardashas, this should be due to the blessings from Asta Lakshmi yoga – Gemini Ascendant, having Rahu in 6th house aspected by Jupiter (Pisces) from 10th house and due to stand alone rahu in the 9th lord Saturn star Anuradha, where my Saturn (in earlier house than Rahu) is in ascendant along with the 5th lord Venus. And Rahu in D9 is in Virgo, 9th house.

I read some where is a science article that people remember the memories that happened from their 4th year when they grown up, in the rare cases some people remember things happened from age 2, I was one among them, I remember few things from my age 2, from my shaded memories and discussions with my elders I can say the first experience of my Rahu Anthardasha in Venus MD which started when I was 2, is fine.

I remember well, my Mom, to feed me, used to took me in to the trees in front of my house, where the crows lived in their nests, gathered in front of us by that time, interestingly I used to reject to take the food unless and until my mother offers food to the crows, my Rahu Anthardasha lasted up to the age 5, I never forgot the days where I used to play on the bank of a lake (in front of our house) which is connected to river Godavari, by watching the fishes, running with the calfs & lambs, watching different kinds of birds, and especially the cranes flying in intoxication after having the toddy from the pots hanged to the palm trees, (imagine how a drunkard walks, like that they used to fly).

Those are the days where my family is in a good financial position, well respected, because of our Grand father who is an ardent Gandhian, always given a preference by local ruling authority MLA/MP for taking the lead in Independence celebrations, Gandhi Jayanthi etc Though we are six in number, around 20 people used to dine with us in our home, and this number increased up to 50 in the festival times.

Second Anthardasha in Sun (12th house and exalted in D9 – 4th )happened when I was sixteen, though my family rundown financially by that time, I experienced very nice days during this one year period, gardening is my favorite pass time, with my Grand father I planted a nice variety of vegetable and flower plants, gained a sweet memories out of it, In studies I was recognized as merit student among a group of 100 pupil, I enjoyed reading for long hours and I was respected by my faculty for worth full results, interestingly we brought up one black dog at this time, before going for food, I used to feed this dog, of course I never gave up habit of feeding the crows by that time also.

Third in Moon MD (Moon alone is in 7th house) when I was 21, where my family picked up financially, I progressed well in my professional degree, gained worth full experience during my Article ship, respected among my peers, I enjoyed participating in the marriage celebrations of my relatives. Personally I feel this AD is memorable for me for a life time because of the cherished moments in my family.

Recent one is in Mars MD, (Mars is in 10th house along with Jupiter), got job in an erstwhile British Company, away from home,5 day week, 9 to 5 working hours, did not felt much burden in work but at the same time not satisfied with my profile, though in the hierarchy level they placed me the VP level and asked me to report to the director of the company. But found enough time to travel to my home frequently to look after my father. I quitted that job after 1 and half year.

Last but not least, Rahu Pratyantar dasha in Mars MD, Venus AD, gave me a nice job in a worlds most sacred place where the Lord hanuman has took his birth and where the Lord Sri Maha Vishnu has turned in to an deity to protect us from all the miseries and to call it is an kaliyuga vaikuntam, the hills of Tirumala, thus gave me an opportunity to visit the lord very frequently, and I am very cherished whenever I am visiting the Japali, a wonderful place I ever seen (birth place of hanuman), Kapilatheertham a must visit temple in the moon light to spent near the lake that formed naturally, where Lord Srinivasa performed worship to Siva lingam before His marriage, Kalahasthi (one hour journey from my living place), (the ultimate destination for Santhi Poojas to Rahu & Ketu).

Your Jupiter is very good. yellow sapphire will increase its strength.

I have given you the remedies for everything else.

Your current problems are because of Rahu-Mars and also because of Saturn in Libra transition zone till 20th Aug and Mars being malefic in Virgo.

After September end things should begin to improve.

Do the remedies and wait for things to change.

I have observed increased expenditure due to electrical break downs of AC, Refrigerator, Fan. Bulbs going bust frequently.

Swithces malfunctioning, battery problem in Invertor and Car, door bell not working though installed etc. Although all these are common problems but Rahu people face more than fair share of these.

Does anyone agree ?

How to calculate the ishta phala and Kashta phala for the MD of Rahu and ketu. In Jhora, the report gives these info for all the planets except for Rahu and Ketu. Can anybody comments on this?

I had the similar experience during my Jupiter-MD/Rahu-AD. It was like one thing after another including many electrical socket boards. Weird!

Vargottam Ra/Ke on 7/1 axis in Libra/Aries and in Nk of Mars/Ketu. Rahu in Nk of dire enemy Mars. There is also a NK parivartan between Rahu and Mars (which is also LL and 8L). The effects of Mars is intensified as it is placed in Aquarius (co-owned by Rahu). I don't think your Moon is particularly afflicted by Rahu or Ketu.

IMO, Ra and Ke are more afflicting your Venus than Moon. Venus is in parivartana with Ju this is not a good parivartana as it takes place between 2L and 12L. Financial gain and kutubh sukh is compromised and gains can only be possible away from place of birth. Venus is not a friend of your LL and is in 6/8 position to MD lord and thus will cause some health related problems as well as problems in service. IMO, Ra-Sun will be problematic whereas Ra-Moon and Ra-Mars will be average.

Current transit will provide some relief after Sept. I can see why you are so uninterested in marital bliss. However, I still feel marriage will take place late in life and there is window of opportunity in 2013. Possibility of meeting spouse in meditation halls, sanctuary, or in seclusion. Venus is retrograde and strong and spouse will be beneficial. Marital life may still have some problems and distress but mostly due to ill-health to wife.

Saindhaviji has already provided you the remedies, I would just add daily recital of Kunjika stotra (twice) and MMM (21 times) daily. D60 (previous life karma) shows that the soul has several debts to be paid.

As per the date of birth of mine, i have mercury placed in piesces which is the debilitated sign for Mercury. Since it is associated with exalted venus, is it true that Mercury's debilitation gets cancelled?

My brother's Rahu mahadasha has just started three months ago. Rahu is in 10th house in Kumbha rashi in his chart. I would be very grateful if astrologers on this forum could please analyse and predict how this dasha will play out for him.

His Rahu is very benefic and he should rise to great heights in this Rahu Mahadasha.

According to true positions of Rahu (as compared to the position that appears from the centre of the earth, which gives the date of his Rahu Mahadasha in April 2012), his Rahu Mahadasha will begin from 15th of July 2013.

you can observe when his Rahu Mahadasha seems to be beginning - in April this year or in July next year and come back to give us a feedback.

He should experience a rise in career and growth in financial situation, also movement and travel, which may benefic for his career. He may grow in power at work.

Although Rahu is good, some of the Antardashas may not be as good. this is because his Mercury is completely combust and moon is also combust. Venus the Lagna Lord is with Mars and Ketu is malefic.

But ultimately Rahu should be able to prevail and he will do well.

He should pray to Ganesha and Saraswati daily and wear Ashwagandha roots tied in a thin cotton cloth around upper arm.

Every Purnima he should do Lakshmi Narayan Homam and during 2 Navaratris i.e., just before Rama Navami and during Durga Puja h should call a priest to do Chandi Homam with Durga Saptashati.

I have a question which is perturbing me.

I am undergoing Rahu Mars period. My Mars is in own Rashi in 9th House. Presumbaly in Mooltrikona. This means Marsh is good for me! Also Rahu is in Mars owned Rashi (vrishchika) in 4th House.

Due these ownership, I feel my Marsh should be helpful whereas I am not enjoying life! Why.

Can you elaborate on this pelease..


Also, I have checked in J Hora, The Aspects being thrown on either 4th House by Mars or on Mars itself from other planets are not that bad. I feel something here is not adding up....

Many thanks for your detailed analysis of my brother's Rahu dasha. I'll definitely give feedback on how it is progressing, it's still very early days. He's been doing some professional exams for the past few years, sponsored by his employer, and if he passes the final exams at the end of this month, then it looks like he'll be progressing further rapidly in his career.

Please could you explain how we can derive the Rahu mahadasha as per its true position? Is it a setting in JHora?

Yes, J-Hora has setting for true positions (tropocentric) and geocentric positions. There is difference of several month between the two Mahadasha tables.

But what matters is which table matches with the events in a native's life.

That is why it will help if the natives come to give feedback about which of these dates proved more reliable, because this is a largely unexplored area.

I see lots of Rahu MD experiences..its kind of giving me goose bumps as my friend's Rahu MD is about to start in 2 months and he can already feel its effects..he is loosing out on lot of job opportunities, his preparation for higher studies are screwed up..
I wish it didnt happen at this point of his life where he wants to go forward with his career..higher studies and marriage..i wish it turns out to be "Ok"..i dont want anything bad atleast for my best friend

Can somebody suggest me remedies ?

As far as my knowledge in astrology..his rahu is in exhaltation in Taurus in navamsa chart..will it bring any relief for him in rahu MD ?

I am a Kg Student in astrology. What is being produced here is just an intrpretation of a software . Your friends Rahu is not in Tauras even in navmansa. Looks some mistake somewhere. Birth particulars or software/ website you are using.

Please check again. Your friend is no where near Rahu Dasha.......

Thank You very much for your reply, after reading your post I went back into this thread to know what you are, apart from your caliber and knowledge it wondered me your attitude and kindness to the anonymous people, hearing to their problems, finding the solutions for their sufferings which reminded me one incident.

Ronald Regan is the President for USA in late 80’s, he always preferred one personal car to drive which has a broken glass on the back side, people around him surprised and in one day they asked, it is very trivial amount for you to afford for replacement of this glass and why you are reluctant to do so, he replied.

One day I was passing in my car on a road which has a grass lawns adjacent to it, suddenly I heard a hard hit on my back glass by a heavy stone, I stopped my car and I found a boy near by who is about to pick up another stone, in rage I rushed to him and I yelled don’t you have sense, that boy showed in the grass lawn, a old man who has fallen down from his wheel chair and said to me, I tried to lift him up, but I could not, since from last one hour I am trying to stop each car passing by, but no body is responding to me, at last I decided to take this action. Saying all these things I am sorry to tell you my problem, will you please help in my Wife brother's issue, who is one of the victim of 12th house Rahu havoc, his DOB 18th Jan 1979, 11:30 pm, Visakhapatnam, major problem, now any body suggesting any remedy he is not at all comming forward to do, he lost faith after consulting so many, no job, when can we expect positively, any predictions on the rest of the things
