This Durga Suktam Homam will take about 30-40 minutes.

5 - Every 2 Navaratris i.e., during Durga Puja and before Rama Navami, get a priest to recite Durga Saptashati with Homam.

I am relatively new to astrology. I am experiencing the last few months of rahu mahadasha ( with rahu in the 12 th house !!!) since its a malefic position my 18 yrs of rahu mahadahsha ,esp the last 10 yrs have been a living nightmare... Academically i was bright , bt i got lost in between choosing careers , i did finance as a post grad degree ,bt my mind got diverted to creative fields like desgning ...primary reason for this was becoz i my finance career didnt take off well... I kept going back and forth with my career ,finance and desingining, finally got a ok job in finance bt left that due to no satisfaction ,so started a designing business which went into losses, to fill gaps of no work ,i took up a designing course , but i am still very much jobless with no money , to make matters worse my relationships kept failing ,the latest is where it got in hot waters and the boy left me as his parents were against our match...i feel like a total waste , with no aim in life...tormented mentally due to my circumstances where every area of life seems worthless n hopeless. I have never expereinced so much of pain n mental insanity,i was strong before. Now i lack complete confidence. My dob 18/02/1986 ,my tob 11:50 am , female, place of birth is mumbai. frm oct i enter jupiter mahadasha , can anyone help me and throw some light whether my state of life affairs will ever change or remain the same ? Also i have heard that in jupiter mahadsha ,mariiage is unlikely.... If anyone can help me knw when will i get married and what kind of a husband n fly will i get ? Till 1995 was doing good in academics and supposed to graduate in 1996 in B Sc (Hon) Statistics. But instead could not clear last few papers and finally finished them in 1999.
In this started and failed in two small businesses e.g Printing Press, Automobile Repair.


Finally joined a Job in 1999, as a computer operator in a factory as family situation was so worse that without this job we would not be able to arrange food. My brother also left studies and joined in job.

Took loan to start printing business, which after defaults etc was finally repaid in 2003.

Guru 2000-02-19

Not much re call. This is true for actually my whole life. Even though people used to comment on my sharp memory which is very selective. I am some times hard pressed to recall even major events of my life. Especially the time period. Dates etc.

Sani 2002-12-26

Father expired after long illness (July 2000). Switched job to a better paid one in Dec 2000.Continued in same till 2005!
Started drinking weekly once, before this average was once or twice a year! Non veg also some times.

Budh 2005-07-15

After a very brief affair (5 months!) got married. As this was a inter-culture same caste, didn’t went down well with extended family and had to separate. Got married in April 2003, with support from collegues and friends. The aftermath was high tension days continuing even till now. Hot n Cold relationship with in-laws. Wify also not getting long with my mom etc. Son born in Feb 2004.

Marriage :- This decision of marriage (to whom, when, how) came as shock not only to family and friends but in retrospect to me as well! I hope you get what is meant here. No one who knew me expected that I will have a love marriage but leaving home etc including me. It was kind of ditching my mom and bros, sis when they were father less and I was eldest one with maximum responsibilities. But at that time these thoughts never come to my mind. It was a kind of adventure for me from which I was getting a strange kick.

Company got bankrupt in July 2004 but immediately got job with un expected increase in salary. Shortly after six months got a even better job in Jan 2005.

There also got out of turn increments and promotion in first year of service till June 2006.

Ketu 2006-08-02

Pressure continued to increase in Job and I continued to perform well and collect rewards. Took another loan and bought house in July/ Aug 2006. Shifted in immediately.

Shukra 2009-08-02

This was best period professionally(2007 to 2009). Good Job and good life. Friends , family life little better. Got my favourite car. Went on vacation. Spent on food n cloths etc. Drinking frequency increased to atleast twice a week! Non veg also at least once a week.

Surya 2010-06-27

After June 2009, professionally things started going down hill. Was scared and first time in life contacted pandit jee for puja etc. Actually while retruning from a vacation our car hit head on by a truck. Car took several turns in air before landing up side down in a 10 feet deep ditch. Very surprisingly we (me, wife and kid) did not got any injuries! Only kid got one scratch on arm due to broken glass pieces. It took 10-14 people to pull us out and all were in dis belief to see us fine! Car was a total wreck.

So soon got series of puja n havans etc. Pandit jee made me wear Pukhraj as well as moonga. Janeou. Become a very religious reciting hanuman chalisa and shani chalisa daily. But by Dec 2009, after few months this all stopped. Started drinking and eating non veg again. Frequency was 2 or 3 times a month.

Took a new project and it changed the team with which I was working. Overnite all changed. Sept 2009.
Almost soon after that by Dec 2009, found my self in a affair! I repeat found myself because although I was part of it and definatley I was a contributing agent, but only in dec after 3 months did I realized that what I am doing is not right. But by that time I was not in control! I didn’t has guts or willingness to end the same. This had all the ingriedents of ruining my life, and I knew it and still I did not acted. I can simply say that I was not in driving seat. But no one believes me.

I neither wanted to marry again, nor wanted existing life to continue. I wanted a fresh start. Both wanted me to leave each other and stay with her. I wanted to get away from both! I told them and both attempted to end their life.

I am so scared that because of me, some one is even thinking of ending their life, that it made me mentally un stable. I am drinking on daily basis and praying to god that nothing un toward should happen.

One of my friend predicted I may go to jail, and this made me even more paranoid. Actually he also predicted that I may marry twice, although he did not knew of my affair. Hence this started my interest in astrology.

Mangal 2013-01-13

Phew ! Chandra period was harrowing. Left job in Dec 2011 as both of them started calling office and collegues and make sure that I was not seeing other secretly. I could not manage and was scared of loosing job amid loss of face. Hence before this could happen I left job, hoping that in 2 or 3 months will get another. Wrong and stupid decision. Still job less.

Continued my intrest in astrology. Now am free hence literally eating everything on astrology available on internet. But to be honest, cant make head n tail of planets and dashas.
However read everything which was available just for the heck of it. Still clueless and in fact more I read, more I suspect about my self that my life will take turn for better.
Although pinning lots of hope on Jupitor dasha, but little knowledge is dangerous thing. I learnt that all my good planets are in transition zone hence not capable to providing me any relief to great extend.

I have exalted mars in the 3rd house from rasi and lagna and as you know 3rd house has 7 planets.
But mars is aspecting 10th house by his 8th aspect and also mars is in the star of sun, the 10th lord. So some effects may be there, I suppose.

Vargottam Ra/Ke on 7/1 axis in Libra/Aries and in Nk of Mars/Ketu. Rahu in Nk of dire enemy Mars. There is also a NK parivartan between Rahu and Mars (which is also LL and 8L). The effects of Mars is intensified as it is placed in Aquarius (co-owned by Rahu). I don't think your Moon is particularly afflicted by Rahu or Ketu.

IMO, Ra and Ke are more afflicting your Venus than Moon. Venus is in parivartana with Ju this is not a good parivartana as it takes place between 2L and 12L. Financial gain and kutubh sukh is compromised and gains can only be possible away from place of birth. Venus is not a friend of your LL and is in 6/8 position to MD lord and thus will cause some health related problems as well as problems in service. IMO, Ra-Sun will be problematic whereas Ra-Moon and Ra-Mars will be average.

Current transit will provide some relief after Sept. I can see why you are so uninterested in marital bliss. However, I still feel marriage will take place late in life and there is window of opportunity in 2013. Possibility of meeting spouse in meditation halls, sanctuary, or in seclusion. I don't know if parents usually get affected when a native runs Rahu-Moon or Rahu-Mars.

But Saturn-Mars transit in Libra during August-September may cause problems to both of them, not because of Rahu but because of this conflicting conjunction.

Ask both of them to recite Hanuman Chalisa and ask both to wear yellow sapphire 4.5 carats set in gold.

Both are running benefic planets' Mahadashas, so it shouldn't be too bad for them.

Perform Chandi Homam with either Durga Saptashati verses, or with Durga Suktam verses every Ashtami of Shukla Paksha, in addition to the remedies suggested by Explorings and me.

first and foremost thank you so much for replying to my post, for days together i have been trying to send emails , posts for someone to answer my qeury , and Finally YOU did ! so thanks alot !

hell yeah my rahu is surely dangerous, its taught me soo much that i had to become strong but the last two years have been really scary , its a miracle that i am alive , but i have now developed an eye of suspision towrads everyone. i feel i cant trust anyone . i am m better off with this feeling to be very honest. everything is temporary in this world so why attach myself with anyone or anything is what i like to believe now !!!

okie so after 18 yrs of nightmare i get only a mild jupiter is sad news for me. i was aware of 12th house rahu and 7th house conjunction between mars and saturn having bad effects on me, so i was banking on the 1st house moon and venus,mercury,jupiter and sun all placed in the 10th house. now that you break this news to me that 1st house moon looses power coz of the 7th house mars and saturn and sun is bad in the 10th house making venus,mercury and jupiter combust is breaking my heart !!!

so basically my chart is not great at all ? i mean no where close to even an "ok" chart ??

I think the astrologer didn't see that Sun is malefic there and that 3 planets around Sun are combust, making the status house spoilt. Your Gaja Kesari Yoga is also non-functional because of combust Jupiter.

I do not have kalasarpa yoga since mercury is outside.
Yes, I have had struggles of all kinds.
Some astrologers told me that since 3rd house is strong, it should be counted as lagna and then the fun is mercury and venus become benefic which were otherwise malefic. They said, I should offer prayers to mercury, venus too since mercury becomes 9th lord, venus is strong yogakaraka being 5th and 10th, a kona and kendra. Would you accept this?
Venus is most combust within one degree but venus dasa was the best in most ways.
Others are combust to much lesser degrees.
Some astrologers say, there is no combustion for venus, jupiter and mercury. I do not know about it.

Anyway moon and jupiter have neecha bhanga and moon has the highest astavarga and shadbala points.
Moon is matrukaraka and I love my mother the most.

Anyway being the queen of remedies, you may suggest remedies if any.

regarding rahu md , i have read that it leads to change in place/residence ,frankly speaking i have hardly changed my residence in th epast 18 yrs...only maybe for an outing or a vacation for a few days here there...the max i have stayed out is for 45 days at my aunts place out of india, which turned out to be a horrible trip.
and yes recently in june end , i changed from one room of my house to another . actually i have only changed rooms in my own house/nomadic kinds.. which can get counted as change of place ?? ..haha..

also does it give a ' bandhan' of sorts ..i mean confinement....in my moms birth chart her rahu is well placed in the 4th house and she got marriaed at the start of rahu MD ( change of place) , and conceived my brother and me ( i m sure she enjoyed motherhood but a sort of an added responsibility due to which she got confined to the house techinically ) ....

do i have a scope of confinement or serious change of residence ? please throw some light...
