I have Jupiter in Sagittarius in my second house which I have heard is good for wealth and income. However I am not feeling any of this in real life. I was wondering if this is actually a good thing to have and if there is anything else which good be adversely affecting my financial position.

You are correct but you should also study the aspect of jupiter and influence's , may be it is afflicted.

Would it be possible for you to look at my chart and tell me if Jupiter is afflicted as I do not know how?
Also I have heard wearing a yellow sapphire is meant to be good to increase Jupiters influence, would it be advisable for me to wear this?

Yes you can wear Yellow sapphire but is not required considering your jupiter is strong. You can wear Ruby for your job lord Sun.
