I went to a foreign country on 2004 June. Started College in 2006 there and graduated in 2010. Jobless for a year and a half and came back to India for 6 months now. I got accepted to a medical school there end of last year and classes start this August. Medical school will cost me a lot of money in loans and without parental support I don't know if I can manage that kind of a loan to be paid back. So I am really scared that I will drown in debt for the rest of my life. Though I love to help people, I don't know if I want to put my own life in financial jeopardy. Do I have a good financial life or will I be poor and in debt if I take this enormous amount of loan and won't be able to pay back?

Ra/Ke placed on 8/2 axis in Aries/Libra and Nk of Ketu/Mars. Ra and Ke are vargottam. Ra MD will be problematic for you and crop problems in marriage and family life. Ra dispositor is well-placed and is exalted in 5H. Current AD of Jupiter which is in 5/9 position to MD lord. This period ideally should have been good for you. However, Virgo lagna natives were facing an extremely tough early 2012. With the lagna been squeezed between two malefic saturn and mars and LL undergoing a long debilitation. Here is Durga Suktam, a hymn from the Vedic corpus for Durga, from Maha Narayana Upanishad, which takes very little time to recite and is very powerful to take us out of troubles.

One may recite it several times according to one's need, lighting a big ghee or refined oil diya, if it's not possible to find a priest to recite Durga Saptashati and perform Homam.

11, 21, 51, 108 or 1008 times recital should be enough.

PS - The second version has some errors in pronunciation, hence don't use it for recitation.

There is an error in 2nd version in translation - "Vaishnavi" has been translated as Vishnu's Shakti, which is wrong - it means Vishnu's sister i.e., Durga. Vishnu's Shakti is Lakshmi.

The deeper meaning of Vaishnavi is the paramount Goddess who envelopes the whole universe.

I would like to post here on request of Saindhavi,
I was born in 1983 and Rahu MD ended in 1990.I dont know what happened during that time..But my parents always complaint that after my birth they had lots of problems...My father had to separate from his father immediately after i was born...he was given a share and he had to start his own business..but I reply them saying you would not have started business if you were not separated from your parents.

Also, my dad had good time in his business and was well offf..thats what i know..

But, I can write about my Sana's(my daughter) experience as She is undergoing Rahu MD.
After her birth, I had to loose my job(I resigned) and got in to a different job with a very good salary ..I had to migrate from one place to another place when sana was just 1 month old..It was stressful period though with me and my wife managing everything alone.
Sana is also having a good life and she is very active..

Thanks for your Rahu Mahadasha account. This validates my suspicion that exalted Rahu in 3rd in Aries Lagna creates problems through family, relatives, friends and associates - basically, through one's social and kinship network, or what one regards as social and kinship network.

Yes, Rahu does give wealth when exalted or benefic, though Rahu's wealth is often transitory.

I'm sorry to say this, but a love marriage is unlikely for you, because Rahu has blocked your 5th house of romance and exalted Saturn aspects Rahu from the other side.

Jupiter is debilitated in 2nd house of family and wealth, causing further problems in marriage, family and job related matters.

You have also just finished the worst phase of Rahu Mahadasha i.e., Rahu-Sun.

The good news is that the worst is now over and gradually, you'll revive now.

Rahu-Mars may be good for you because Mars aspects 2nd house in its exaltation sign.

Remedies -

I had actually read your original post in which you had given more details and which you edited later.

I'm glad I read it because it helped me to read your chart better. By the time I typed my response, you changed your post.

Initially I wanted to leave your chart for Explorings, but later decided to read it myself.

I can completely relate to your situation, because I myself went through a very bad Rahu-Sun. You are fortunate that you've come here, getting your chart read and getting remedy suggestions. Renowned astrologers even refused to read my chart, because they didn't believe it was my chart, without cross-checking details with me.

I know that in such a condition, one wants to reverse the damage done. But I have never seen a damage caused by Rahu getting reversed. At least it has never happened with me.

Gradually, you'll learn to take things in your stride and you'll be less affected. But you will take a few years to reach that stage.

Mars is the only planet that can help you in love marriage. But there are too many problems in the way. Rahu is malefic, Saturn aspects not only Rahu, but also your Lagna and Lagna Lord Jupiter is debilitated.

Rahu continues to have effect even after Rahu Mahadasha ends. You should be prepared for it, especially because your Jupiter is debilitated.

To be frank, I don't think this person will come back. But do the remedies and see what happens. These are powerful remedies and they should have effect.

Nila Saraswati is good.

Transits have effect, but they don't supersede the Lagna chart. that's why everyone experiences transits differently.

In the chart my software generated for you, you have Sagittarius Lagna and Jupiter was in your 5th i.e., in Aries till May this year. Now he has moved to Taurus, your 6h house and hence, is not of much use to you, except if you want to go abroad. Jupiter is also your Lagna lord and the paramount benefic, hence its weak position adds to the problem.

Also I would like to add somer more point here...Sana(my daughter) has a problem with hot weather..She cant even tolerate UK summers and see feels itchy and gets alergy..She is always scratching her body and pulling her hair..

Asking God(dess) for a wish fulfilment, praying without asking for a wish and praying to ask for whatever God thinks is the best path for you - all 3 are the right methods. You can choose any one of them.

Most of Puja in Hinduism is actually Sakama Bhakti. Nishkama Bhakti is very rare and even saints actually wish to attain oneness with God - so it's a Sakama Bhakti in a way, even though it's called Nishkama Bhakti.

So, you can ask for a wish or ask for whatever is best for you if you like. Or you can just pray and have faith that God(dess) knows what is best for you and s/he will automatically give it to you even if you don't ask for it.

In short Rahu-Mercury conjunction is good, but Rahu-Mars conjunction is not good for the Lagna.

Rahu-Mercury in Sagittarius Lagna is not good. Rahu with Mars is creating additional problems.

Get a recital of Durga Saptashati followed by havan by a priest done in your daughter's name every Navaratri i.e., before Rama Navami and during Durga Puja.

Recite Durga Suktam 11 times followed by Devi Suktam from Rig Veda for her daily.

I hope you did the Shashthi Puja for her.

Ketu is also malefic in 7th. Recite Ganesha Atharvashirsha daily in her name, offering red flowers to Ganesha. When she grows up, tie Ashwagandha roots in a thin gauze-like cloth around her arm or neck.

When she grows up, should do all this herself.

You have been running Jupiter-Saturn since May and I don't think Saturn will give you very good effect, because despite being aspected by Jupiter, your Saturn is largely malefic. Saturn Mahadasha will be particularly troublesome.

Apart from Saturn, your Ketu is malefic and Lagna Lord Mars is debilitated, causing more struggles in your life.

Rather than practising medicine, it's better for you to teach at a medical institution. Of course, that means you'll have to gain more qualifications.

You may suffer from a major eye problem sometime.

You are about to end Rahu-Moon on 18th of July and will finish Rahu-Mars next year in early August.

The trouble is that your Jupiter Mahadasha may give you moderate results. You have to wait till Saturn Mahadasha, when you'll really rise, Lagna Lord Saturn being exalted in Shasha Yoga.

Your Rahu is good in Lagna as well as Navansha charts. But Sun's aspect decreases its powers, hence it's not able to give full results.

Remedies -

Pray to Saraswati daily, reciting any hymn you like.

Recite Gayatri Mantra 21 times daily, followed by Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 21 times and Devi Sukatm from Rig Veda.

Light a ghee diya daily facing East in the morning.

Try Ceylonese Gomed 2.7 carats. Wear it for some time and see how it affects. If you don't see good results, if you begin to lose focus, develop indigestion problems, mental anxieties increase and if enemies rise etc, take it off. But most probably, Gomed should suit you.

Saindhavi Ji, i am thankful to you for reading for my horoscope. To be frank with you Rahu Dasha was very tough for me, Throughout it has troubled me, but Rahu-sun antar dasha was very bad. I am hoping Guru dasha will change my life as Guru is in moola trikona and has good shad bala and various other balas. Though i agree that it is with mercury, venus ,and has the aspect of a neutral Shani Deva but still i feel that my Guru dasha will be good and 100 times better than Rahu dasha .

Yes, Ketu conjunct with Sun may give eye problem.

I've given you remedies for Saturn Mahadasha as well. Do them all your life and Saturn's and other problems should be minimised.

Thank you so much Saindhav ji. Unfortunately I don't think i'd be able to do 1,2 and 5 due to being poor and being in the West. But i'll definitely try to recite the other mantras.

I also have two questions that I had asked before ( I just wanted more input):
1) I plan on becoming a doctor. does my chart support me becoming a good physician?
2) My financial life has been a mess so far.. how would it hold in the future?

Also, is my Jupiter mahadasha going to be better than rahu?

Sesame oil (til oil) and metal diyas are available online and are not very expensive.

Wear green and blue clothes and whenever you come to India, get an emerald.

Feeding crows is not necessary, if you do charity from time to time. Donating a lot of money is not needed; only a few dollars will do.

You can become a doctor.

Your financial situation should be better in Rahu-Saturn and from Rahu-Venus onwards.

Jupiter aspects Sun in Lagna, making it stronger and Sun is malefic for your Lagna. This is why you are facing problems and your Lagna is a debilitation house for Jupiter.

Emerald is meant to counter this.

Jupiter Mahadasha may aggravate this problem. Saturn Mahadasha will be better. After Rahu-Jupiter, Rahu Mahadasha will also be good. You'll get wealth during this Mahadasha.

I asked Ramananji what remedies he recommends for Rahu and Ketu.

He says remedies are specific to each chart, but in general, doing clockwise and anti-clockwise pradakshina around Rahu and Ketu (in a temple) during Rahu Kalam is beneficial. Following is his comment -

Since you have asked specifically for rahu/ketu coming around the navagrahas 18 times in rahu kala on the day represented by the lord where rahu is placed once a week is an excellent way to appease rahu ketu...here the pradhakshina is 7 times and apradhakshina [anti clock wise] 11 times 4 for rahu and 7 for ketu works well....

Your brother's Rahu is actually not all that bad, but there are many other problems with his other planets.

The trouble is that his Jupiter Mahadasha may be moderate and his Saturn Mahadasha may create problems in his career.

He is running the last stage of Rahu Mahadasha now, currently going through Rahu-Moon and his Rahu-Mars will finish on 12th Oct 2013. Rahu-Mars may be worse than Rahu-Moon.

His Mars is debilitated in 7th house, which is causing problems with wife. Mars also aspects 10th house of career and 2nd house of family and wealth adversely, thus aggravating marital and financial problems. This also makes him a Mangalik.

Sun is debilitated in 10th house of career, also aspected by Saturn, thus his 10th house is badly debilitated.

Mercury in 10th could have saved it, but Mercury is combust, losing much of its powers.

Saturn's aspect has also brought litigation. Saturn is his Lagna Lord, but it's also his 2nd Lord of family and wealth.

Moon is exalted in 5th, but is again aspected by Saturn, thus increasing anxieties and tensions.

Venus is debilitated in 9th house of Bhagya, further increasing his problems in marriage and financial matters. Venus is also with Rahu, further creating problems with wife.

5 - Perform Mahalakshmi Havan every Purnima.

6 - Recite daily - Ganesha Atharvashirsha offering red flowers to Ganesha, any hymn for Saraswati, Gayatri Mantra 108 times, Hanuman Chalisa, Lakshmi Nrisimha Karavalambam followed by Sri Suktam from Rig Veda, Ravana krit Shiva Tandava Stotram, Dasharath Shani Stotram followed by Durga Gayatri 108 times, Durga Suktam, Kunjika Stotram and Devi Suktam from Rig Veda.

Offer Sindur (vermillion) to Hanumanji every Tuesday, either at home or at a Hanuman temple.

PS - Don't get intimidated by this list of hymns. Once practised, they actually take about half an hour.
