Hi
Just want to add I got 70% of the classics from the Internet and the [No Personal Contact Details on Public Forum] Groups including Saravelli, Bhrigu Sutras, PhalaDeepika, Uttarakalamitram, Jataka Alankara, Garga Hora by Sage Gargacarya, Bhavartha Ratnakara, Daivagyna Vallabha, Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra, Brihat Samhita, Bhrigu Sutras, Jataka Chandrika, Madhya Parashari, Samhita Skanda by Sadananda, Satya Jataka by Satyacharya, Siddhanta Siromani, The Aryahabtiya of Aryabhata, The Yavanajataka of Sphujidhvaja etc.
Lessns from PVR Narasimha Rao who held nightly lessons for his students in Boston is also pretty good and can also be downloaded from the Internet. The full lesson from K N Rao can also be downloaded from he Internet.
And there are many, many articles and web sites of Visti Larsen, Sanjay Rath, Sarajit Poddar, Sanjay Prabhakaran, Sabhini (Sanjay's wife), Komilla Sutton etc. etc. etc.
The other 30% of the classics I am trying to get a mail order from India. Sarvarth Chintamani and Brihat Jataka were both very good which I bought recently.
There are also magazine articles on the web uploaded to Scrib. Prash Trivedi chapters on Rahu and Ketu is good but since it was written some years back, there are also some new points which have overtaken his book.
I think Curtin's list is quite good if you want an overall picture of Vedic Astrology in a fast way. You can then proceed with the classics, web sites, articles and lessons indicated above.
Thanks.

Hi
Yes, I have the complete web list. I will PM to you.
I will also PM to you the [No Personal Contact Details on Public Forum] groups which I am member in so that you can gain access to their file resources. Some of these [No Personal Contact Details on Public Forum] groups however needs a moderator to approve your membership and it may take a few days.
As for the articles, see what is your topic of interest and I can email it to you. You can let me know at my email at khoohockleong[at]rocketmail[dot]com.
Please note the web list does not include some of the web sites where I have already downloaded all the articles unless I feel there is potential development ie. more articles to come as in a blog.
The PM I will do it over the weekend.
Thanks.

Dear Shrikanth Sir,
while studying astrology i concentrated only on one style of charts i.e north-indian, but when i went to buy the books by BV Ramanji, it is all explained giving south-indian style charts. i know this is like giving an excuse but i am not able to go ahead. please suggest any good books which use north style charts??(am i asking too much)
one last soln is that i start converting the south charts into north style and then study BV Ramanji's books !!
earlier as a guest i used to browse topics and read but end up getting lost in so many topics. so now i am searching for all mesgs by you or Khooji/ Ramananji /astroboyji/anupam1968ji /shilpaji/ narayanji and studying them so that i dont get lost. i have started with your posts, so these days Sir, you would see many questions/doubts from me. please bear with me and my Q's.
thanks
[quote="Shrikanth"]For beginners in Astrology the usually recommended books in sequence are as follows.
Astrology for Beginners Dr. B V Raman
Hindu Predictive Astrology Dr. B V Raman
How to Judge a Horoscope 1 and 2 Dr. B V Raman
Notable Horoscopes Dr B V Raman
After this you are knowledgeable enough to find your preferences.
Vedic Astrology an Integrated approach by PVR Narasimha Rao is highly recommended.
For people with good internet access PVRji's mp3 lessons from Boston are invaluable source of learning material.
