The 3rd, 6th and 11th houses are grouped under Trishadaya. Why they are considered evil houses. 11th house is the highest evil house in this group.

3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th are Upachaya, they improve over time, especially if they have a malefic in them.
11th house is not bad. It is one of the kama or desire houses. Strong 11th house is good for motivation, friends and networking, and making money from investment opportunities.
6th can definitely be bad, but not as bad as 8th. One astrologer said "6th is debt, 8th is bankruptcy." Benefics generally don't work well in 3rd or 6th. 3rd is one of worst houses for Jupiter, and likewise 6th is for Venus. Venus, the planet of pleasure gets drowned in the house of service. It struggles to enjoy.

Thanks for sharing your views. What I read in phaldeepika 2 days back is that 11th house is considered a paapi or sin house. On one hand, the same classic said that 11th house gives prosperity and on the other hand, it said paapi house. There is some confusion here.
