D9 Kendra and Dharma:
The D9 chart reflects what dharma we have bought from our previous births.
4 Padas of the D9 chart are the 4 kendras of the Navamsha. These 4 kendras indicate the dharma of the person. Following is the dharma represented by the 4 kendras in order of the ascendant of their Importance:

Hi Uma Shanker Anchata,
I enjoyed reading this topic on D9. It answered many questions that I had. Now it is loud and clear. But how do we read the D9 in addition to the D1.
Do we apply same yogas that we learn in D1 in D9 as well.
Can you interpret my D9 for me please.

D-1 is like your physical being and planets you are born with whether good or bad. But D-9 is not like that it is the blessing of the god and what you are given based on your past karmas whether good or bad
Exalted planets in the D-9 would do good for you as they are the blessing of the god and the area where these planets exalted they will flourish.
Lagna in all the varga charts talks about your physical existence. In d-1 it talks about your physical appearance and the same is with D-9 also but the extra capabilities is attached to the lagna in the D-9 chart which are connected to your inner capabilities with what you are born naturally.
Suppose if you want to know what is your profession which long lasts see the planets which are aspecting the lagna and the AL along with the planets in the lagna and the AL.
These planets should be in trines to the D-9 lagna which would tell which professions are long lasting. Other planets which are not in trines they are not long lasting that means you are not capable to doing such activities.
You can also see your spouse from the 7th house. You see your capabilities from the 5th and the 9th house. You can see your spouses co-borns from the 3rd house which is 9th from the 7th.
Venus placed in the 12th house of D-9 denies marraige totally as Venus is the karaka for the marraige and spouse.
