Phd abroard

My son has applied for Phd in a couple of foreign universities. Will he get into Phd or should he try for a job abroad? when would be the time?

DOB 21-11-1987
TOB 16-21hrs

Thank you very much . But I have a doubt.currently running Merc/rahu/Jup (JHora). Mercury is in 7th in Swati's star. Rahu is with Jupiter(9th and 12 th L) in 12th. Jup is in Mercury's star. Jup aspects 4L moon,5th L sun,7th L venus. Venus and sun again in Mercury's star in 8th house ,scorpio a house of research.
In D1 varga chart 4th lord,9thL, 2nd L and & 7th L are connected . what are the points for denying Phd?. is it because of siddhamsa ? or transit ? is it because 4th Main dasa/antara is not running ? Is there an opportunity to do Phd in future? Thanks once again

My son is still without a job .He was short listed for a phd abroad, but due to unforeseen circumstances he could not take an interview and so his application was rejected.
