Hi Sakura
I have taken the liberty to answer to you although I am not an expert in marriage matters. This is because the fourm here, most of the members do not believe in using the outer planets of which some of your sub-questions are posing. However, I will try to do my best.
Here are my answers to your questions.
(1) The Navamsa Lagna shows your feelings about your spouse and relationships in general as well as your attitude towards matters of spirituality and your innermost soul in regard to matters that are important to you in life. That is Navamsa.
In relation to spousal matters, Mars rising give the person quite headstrong in relationship matters because the person seldom compromise. In Aquarius ruled by Saturn, another Tasmanic planet, may lead to foolish remarks and reactions involving relationships. In short, the wisdom to keep the relationship alive is not there. Look at Venus the karaka for relationships and the 7th house of Navamsa, the karya house for relationships for things like divorce. The Lagna just show the predispositions. Whether that would result in a divorce, one has to zoom in on the karya house.
(2) 7th house in Navamsa represents both directions in a relationship. The term relationship by itself means both your relationship to your spouse and your spouse relationship to you. Venus in Navamsa stands for that also being a karaka in Navamsa for relationships (although Jupiter is the MAIN karaka in Navamsa). In addition both Venus and 7th house Navamsa also shows the kind of spouse that you will have whether in terms of behavioral characteristics or physical attributes.
(3) Uranus signifies independence. It needs to be alone and even when married, it needs freedom and space. From the 7th house it aspects the 1st house of Aquarius rising and causes the person to be even more independent. Ruling the 1st house, it shows that relationships to a person is very important - 1st house in Navamsa shows the person's outcome or feelings on relationship (including marriage) matters. Uranus in the 7th, however, shows a person's propensity to divorce or estrangement. There can be sudden breaks, sudden attachments or sudden infaturations. If badly aspected, the personal can be rather unconventional attiude in the institution of marriage. May even practise swinging partners if unconventionality is supported elsewhere in the chart.
(4) Pluto in 8th in Navamsa is good for spirituality. However, from the perspective of marriage and relationship, it shows the person has a lot to give in relationship matters. The person only show that side of his face to his/her spouse and not to any person like ordinary friends or acquaintances. Thus there is a paradox in the person's character. Outwardly he may be rather unconventional, but inwardly he expects more of his mate in terms of loyalty and being passionate towards his advances. He may be rather determined when and where he wants his sexual needs to be satisfied.
(5) More emphasis should be placed on Venus and the 7th house of Navamsa instead of the Rasi where the wife is concerned. For relationships in general, both charts take equal size of the pie.
Venus in 7th in Rasi, if in the vargas of Mars or Saturn and aspected by Mars or Saturn shows a person with no moral code and constancy in his or her behaviour ie. the probability of the moral compass pointing in the right direction is rather low. Other than Saturn which is Digbala in 7th and an UNAFFLICTED Jupiter and a strong Moon, most planets do not do well when placed in the 7th. It usually shows promiscuity and Venus and Mercury heads the list.
Exalted Venus is good for marriage but it does not promise good marriage. Karakas well placed is a prerequisite but on itself it does not promise success in the affairs of the matter signified by the karaka.
You may want to take the matter in the Marriage section of the forum leaving out questions on the outer planets if you want a more detailed analysis.
Thanks.
Warmest Regards

Hi mysticsanket
I have not been keeping up to date on the latest news of astronomy. Are these three planets really going to be gone? Is it predicted by the sages or is it in the current news?

Hi mysticsanket
I just saw the net. Yes, Pluto has been taken out as a planet and moreover it is caught like the piece of news said, as a meteor while crossing our solar system. But it is still within our orbit and not gone yet.
Precisely because of its erratic orbit, it is a planet that causes vast transformative change. I believe a person's chart still shows the effects of a Pluto even though its status has been pegged down from that of being a plaent.
What do you think?

Hi mysticsanket
Then your original reason given that Pluto is gone and both Uranus and Neptune are going to go to does not stand. That was the original reason given.
With your new reason :
Firstly I know about the Kundalini assigned about the sages. I just mentioned it in my another thread. And I know about the sages assigning all the traditional planets and Saturn being the planet assigned as the planet guarding the outer limits.
But that was in traditional times when we were still under the Tropical Sign Constellation of Pisces.
With the Tropical Sign Constellation of Aquarius under way, the outer limit as represented by Constellation of Aquarius now comes under play.
Why Tropical Sign precession of the equinoxes? Because this represents the progress of human society at any one 2000 year period. Like in Pisces we have Christianity and the other religions. Gradually, now being replaced by Aquarius ruled by Saturn like Hinduism and Ancient Indian Astrology, more traditional beliefs come to the fore. Also Aquarius ruled by Rahu, who likes to go beyond limits to expand into unchartered territories, the limit has been broken.
India also practised Tropical Astrologly before 600 AD by the way.
Secondly if you look at the ancient philosophical texts dealing with battles by the kings, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were mentioned since early times even before the invention of the telescopes. They were just called by different names. The sages dealing with warfare etc. did use Ancient Indian Astrology to predict successful waging of war by the Kings.
But yes, you are right in the sense that these outer planets were used less for Jataka delineation than for other branches of Astrology. They were used more for delineation of royalty to see before they set out for war would they win as well as for Murhurta queries.
But given the first reason, the outer planets now have gradually come into the fold for delineation at the ordinary folks level as well.
Yes, I know about the 13th sign. But that issue is only a speculation. Also pure Tropical Astrology astrologers have always no knowledge of Sidereal Astrology. Thus sometimes they get confused when a person is delineated as Tropical Scorpio and the person seem to have a lot of inner Libra characteristics, for example. So now the scientist comes up with one sign and all the signs start shifting backwards, which we in Vedic Astrology already used a different reference point since time immemorial.

Hi Sakura
Outer planets can be used as given in my answer to you. But most members in this forum do make use of traditional planets. Tradition dies hard. So you need to re-phrase your question if you want another forum member to answer your query.
You take Uranus (the planet placed in the 7th house of Navamsa) as well as the ruler of the 7th house in answering the physical attributes of the spouse.
For Navamsa, I also just found out the Lagna also represents the physical characteristics of your spouse because the Lagna of the Navamsa is the 7th of the 7th house of Navamsa by Bhavat Bhavam principle.
So what I said about the 1st house of Mars placed there and the lord of the 1st house which is Saturn also represents your spouse AS WELL AS what you think of your spouse. If you take the outer planets, actually Uranus rules Aquarius rising in Navamsa, and being placed in the 7th house, it represents that the person and the spouse have sudden infatuations to each other and just as easily have estrangements.
You also need to take the lordship of the 7th of Navamsa into account which is the Sun. I do not know where is the Sun's placement in this chart. Sun somehow modifies the character of the spouse making he or she more stable thant if Uranus were in another sign. There is pride and glory of the spouse towards you.

Hi Sakura
Yes, Mars and Saturn also represent the spouse personality and values.
Uranus gives the person of stocky built and muscular. But the proportions of the body may not be that even. There can be a big head or short limbs etc. things like that. Uranus governs eccentricity so the person may be a bit eccentric in his ways. He is liable to mood swings and can commit suicide if he goes over edge over the slightest trifling issues.
Eyesight is governed by Venus and Sun and the 12th and 2nd to these two planets. If there are malefics associated with them or malefics placed in such positions to them, then abd eyesight or even blindness can occur. Sun governs politics, leadership positions, CEOSs, Uranus governs IT occupations and people who follow unconventional pursuits like astrologers, Saturn governs workers like miners, colliers habberdashers ie. low class service workers but if well placed can make one a project manager or a leader of movements, Mars governs people who work with fires, the police, mlitary or the martial arts. The 10th to the 7th or Lagna which is the 4th or 10th would govern the spouse occupation. 10th to the 7th of Venus would also show the spouse occupation.
Yes it does to your question about Uranus in the 7th house of Navamsa.
Not only income and wealth. But also good status and good morals as Venus and Jupiter are Brahmin planets.
For your last question, it means the person invest nergy and effort towards building up a relationship with the spouse (3rd being 9th to the 7th).

Hi Ann
To be more precise, this is from Saptarishis Astrology from the May 09 issue :
We laid our hope on Venus as karak for vision and 2nd and 12th house from Venus as eyes being gaunpadas of
Venus. The 2nd house and the Sun are considered for right-eye. The Moon and the 12th house control
the left-eye. Venus is Karak for eye sight. Rahu is responsible for eye troubles. This exactly
tallies with Jaimini principles with only difference that he considered eye ailments from
Venus whereas modern astrologers from Lagna (ascendant).
Interpretation: Accordingly our interpretation of sutra is 2nd and 12th houses from where
Venus is placed in chart if occupied by Rahu and aspected by Sun causes vision loss or
conjunction/aspect of Rahu and Sun on Venus and its 2nd and 12th signs cause vision loss.
Some notes on my own for the two paragraph quotes above :
1st Paragraph : The paragrahph stared with "We laid our hope ......". Eventually the article confirms the statement through case studies.
2nd Paragraph : Note that if you study the paragraph carefully, it does not include the condition :
PLACEMENT OF SUN IN 2ND OR 12TH OF VENUS ASPECTED BY RAHU. It must be one of the below conditions :
(a) Placement of Rahu in 2nd or 12th of Venus aspected by Sun
(b) Conjunction of Rahu and Sun in 2nd or 12th of Venus
(c) Aspect by BOTH Rahu and Sun on the 2nd or 12th of Venus
I will get back to you on the chart analysis on this.
In the meantime I will try to find out ADDITIONAL information on Uranus to make my answer more detailed.
Warmest Regards

Hi Ann
It looks like both current Veidc astrologers and Tropical Astrologers use the same attributes for Uranus. This is because like I said above ancient Vedic astrologers only use the outer planets for Murhurtha and Prasna readings (like waging a war) and not for the ordinary Jatarka analysis.
We would just have to bear in mind to interpret Uranus in the Vedic context the BASIC Vedic principles. Uranus in Vedic Astrology rules also sidereal Aquarius as testified by the current Vedic Astrologers using the outer planets. Uranus situated in the Vedic chart would also be interpreted for Vedic house placement according to how it modifies the significations of the Vedic house based on the Uranus attributes discussed in the 1st paragraph.
Just wanted to make myself clear for the forum members.
I will get back to you on the chart analysis, but otherwise you can also look into it yourself based on the precepts I stated above including for the eyesight goodness signified by Venus, Rahu and the Sun (Moon though rules the left eye but has nothing to do with the goodness of the eyesight). Below I have posted the complete attributes I found for Uranus :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uranus
Like the nodes, Uranus represents unpredictable or unusual phenomena. More specifically, people with prominent Uranus' tend to value originality and freedom. A favourable Uranus in a chart will generally signal a quick intellect or a desire to be unconventional. A poorly aspected Uranus may create a need to be different for its own sake, or inconsistency.
In his younger days, comedian Robin Williams was known for his frenetic, original, and often eccentric onstage antics. Uranus is very closely aspected by no less than three planets (Mars, Moon, and Venus) in his horoscope, a highly unusual occurrence. These Uranus-connected planets gave him high energy(Mars), changeability and eccentricity (Moon) and creativity (Venus). But sometimes the Uranian influence isn't helpful, as in the case of movie star Elizabeth Taylor. Married no less than 7 times, she has a close Uranus-Venus conjunction in aggressive and headstrong Aries, pointing to a real problem with commitment and an impulsive approach to love.

Hi Ann
Just one last thing.
Anytime when a Yoga involves positions from a planet and there are MORE THAN ONE positions to consider, for example for health in eyesight the reference points are TWO ie. 2nd and 12th to Venus, the place where the planet is placed, in this case Venus, also matters.
Thus the above Yoga for bad eyesight can also mean all the different Sun/Rahu combinations on Venus and not just 12th or 2nd to Venus PROVIDED VENUS IS STRONG.
How can a planet be strong? If you recall Using Planets as Ascendant System, a planet is strong if it is in Lagna, AL, conjuncts the Sun or conjuncts the Moon.
For example in my case Venus is in Lagna. It conjuncts Rahu and although Sun does not aspect both of them in Lagna, Rahu disposits the Sun by Nakshatra. This is similar to aspect because the Yoga does not specify aspect FROM WHICH HOUSE. Thus I also have bad eyesight actually. At one time, my eye lens became blurred and the blemish or dirt was gradually gone mabye washed away by the tears from the tear duct.
By the way, the article which talks about this bad eyesight, has 1 or 2 case studies if I recall correctly, where the Yoga pertains to where Venus is placed and not just 12th or 2nd to Venus.
