Hi Learned Members
The 12th to the Moon rules rejuvenation (and of course sleep). 12th to the Moon also shows the care which your Mother or any kind soul (which can also be the Father if it is related to the 9th to sun) shower on you when you are down. Earlier post I did mention 12th to the Moon rules changing of the mind or fickle mindedness ie. not of firm mind. Badly afflicted it can mean mental dementia and needs to be taken care of by an institution.
Although 9th to the Sun rules the father, 10th to the Sun shows the authority which your father exerted on you.

Hi Vivek
Venus and Rahu 12th to the Moon shows you really crave for your Mother's care very much mabye even to the exclusion of all your other siblings (provided you are not the only son). It can also means your Mother's care for you is of a very high order as Venus rules love and Rahu inflates it.
As far as the mind is concerned, it shows you only change your mind when there is a good reason to. Venus is a perfectionist planet and conjuncting Rahu makes it even more so. No wonder everytime I tell you something in your posts, you do intensive research in the background!
Sleep also do wonders for you.
With regards to the 9th and 10th of Sun, it shows you have a father who is rather a strict disciplinarian and fierce if his authority is provoked (but malefics may affect your father, so I am not sure is he still around - other factors of the chart would have to be considered).

Hi Khoo,
Thanks for ur reply..
U r rite abt the rahu-venus interpretation..my mother's care is of really high order for me... i have an elder sister, but my mother is more attached to me...
Sleep does wonders for me.. Suppose if i'm angry or annoyed abt something, and after waking up from sleep, i'm really fresh... and i do get a very good sleep everyday..(touch wood lolzz.)
My father is not strict at all...infact he guides me well, but i always have an option of my own to take a decision...nothing is forced on me by him. may be this is because of the exalted moon in my 10th house...
And yes, i am more attached to my father as compared to my mother.. Both sun and moon being vargottam in my chart, this makes me really attached to both the parents as sun denotes father and moon denotes mother..
Regards
Vivek

Hi Vivek
Yes, it is your Moon in the 10th to the Sun because the place where the Moon is rules the infant. The infant is given the leeway to make his own decisions.
Thanks for the feedback.

hi vivek
Thanks for the correction.
By the way, Moon in 10th means 10th to Lagna. Actually in all analyses of these sort, we have to look at the position with respect to the significator planet, with respect to Lagna and with respect to AL, to gain a complete picture like when I look at Astrosonu's career path.
Moon in 10th (which is to Lagna) has about 30% of the effect similar to when Moon is 10th to Sun (about 40% effect). The other 10% effect goes to Moon in the 10th to AL.

Hi All
In many places I find that certain rules apply to "lagna or moon whichever is stronger". How does one interpret whihc is stronger? for eg if moon is in 12th to lagna is it considered weaker? Or for eg sun is 9th to aquarius lagna but 10th to capricorn moon in 12th, which one should be interpreted for job prospects?
thanks
Amit

Hi Everyone
Just want to add that 4th to Moon rules the mind.
Changing of the mind is the 3rd to the Moon - so that we can take care of mundane affairs.
Just like 4th to Mars rules integrity.
3rd to Mars rules courage where we decide to initiate a different path.
12th to Moon only shows rejuvenation of the mind which is sleep and being take care of by Mother of some kind soul or an institution ie. when the person lost his mind like what Vivek said about all these points.
Thanks and Regards

hi amitna
The percentage I give is only a generalization ie. the 40%, 30%, 30% rule. These percentages can vary depening on the nature of chart eg. where is the conjunction of planets taking place, is it 6th to Ascendant or 6th to AL or 6th to Mercury (for employment), who are the respective rulers for each of these places and what are their strengths, also for each of these places, do they co-incide with other factors like :
6th to Ascendant mabye coincide with 9th to Jupiter which indicates fortune
6th to AL mabye coincide with 12th to Saturn showing loss and 8th to Mars denoting setbacks and also the 22nd and 23rd Nakshatra from the Moon denoting destruction
6th to Mercury coincide with nothing
etc.
So assess all factors carefully and then come with a conclusion. For further details you can read my many posts towards the last portion of the thread under "3rd House Ruler".

Hi
Although changing of the mind is ruled by 3rd to the Moon, the fickle mindedness is ruled by 8th to the Moon.
This is because 3rd to the Moon is 12th to the 4th of the Moon. Thus it rules a change of the mindset. 8th to the Moon is the 4th to the 4th of the Moon which means the stability of the mind. 8th to the Moon badly afflicted would indicate a change of mindset.
Bearing in mind always that for the above, 4th to the Moon is the mind.
In summary : 12th to Moon rules rejuvenation of the mind and the need for care and love from the Mother, 3rd to Moon rules changing of the mind which also rules mundane affairs, 8th to the Moon rules stability of the mind of if there are malefic effects it denots fickle mindedness.

Hi
A better term for the 3rd to the Moon would be the flexibility of the mind to handle mundane tasks. It can also denote not using the mind as when we handle mundane tasks mechanically.
8th to the Moon remains as fickle mindedness as indicated above.

Hi
Now I mentioned that 4th to 4th of Moon is the 8th of Moon which is wrong.
It should be 5th to the 4th of Moon which rules the instability of mind. This place if your work it out is also the 8th of Moon which is the wandering of the mind.
So how come the 5th of the 4th of the Moon rules instability and fickleness of the mind? The reasons are :
(1) 5th to any house, including the 4th to the Moon, rules the future. So the mind is concentrating on the future.
(2) The 8th house to Lagna also rules the past. In fact the 5th to any house rules the THOUGHTS of the past AND future. Thus the mind is also concentrating on the past.
(3) 5th to the mind (4th of Moon) rules the emotions of the mind. Emotions of the mind make the mind cloudy.
Hence the delineation ie. 8th to the Moon rules instability of the mind.

going by this;what does an arien Mars indicate in the 12th to the moon?can a masculine planet like mars;that too in its own house;represent mother?
