Hi Learned Members

I know this topic has posted before. But I will give the list again and show the forum (those new in astrology) how these Amsas in D60 can be worked out and interpreted.

These amsa deities can be used judiciously to have a clear understanding of the manifestation of the past. While the above order is cyclic from the begining in odd signs, it is the reverse in even signs.

In my case my Jupiter, Saturn and Sun fall under the 23rd Amsa under Vishnu which is auspicious.

Hi Khoo,
D-60 has been given importance in Vimsopaka bala calculations. If a planet his not strong in rasi chart but is in a good amsa in D-60 will it give mixed results? How about D-60 vs D-9. D-9 is fortune chart, how would you compare fortunes of D-9 versus D-60.

Thanks,
Balajhi

Hi Bala

D-60 is important when the planet is retrogade in Rasi as it would seek to bring in its past karma to solve the problems it encounters in this current life which is the Rasi.

Even if the planet is not retrogade, D-60 do influence the performance of the planet in Rasi. After all it is fate. Two persons may be promised in the Rasi that they will be doing the same thing (because Rasi chart is the same). But their D-60 can be different so fate intervenes in the difference performance of each.

D-9 is a fortune chart and the current life credits in this lifetime including the person's skills.

At the very least, you must have a combination of what the Rasi has promised you, the fortune of D-9 as well as the fate from past karma showered onto your current lifetime indicated by D-60.

Note that when when we are talking about the potential of a native, the six division charts are used and the D-60 would not be included.

Also some Yogas in Rasi also make references about the planet must not be a cruel amsa in D-60 in order for the Yoga to give good results.

Dear Khoo

The 6th amsa "Kinnara" is not actually a deformed man. Kinnaras are celestial beings next to devas, yakshas and gandharvas. they are disembodied beings but angels of some sort who neither want to get liberated nor come down to earth but are happy at their state of evolution. they are very pious and good beings but without any autonomy and they generally report to Lord shiva.

HI

The following should be a malefic amsa instead of benefic :

For the Lagna though, since the sign is about to rise, that is going forward, all the degrees of the sign that are already risen ie. those that are already part of you at birth, would already have taken into effect.

So subtract about 5 degrees of your rising sign, you can have all the Amsa effects before that.

Similarly, 5 degrees added to the Lagna, are all the Amsas about to rise.....one which you would get in this current lifetime.

Now my sign Cancer is an even Sign. This means starting from the Amsa above for the Lagna, I get all the Amsas on either side........about 20 in all....10 on either side of the fixed Amsa for the Lagna above....

That is why Lagna (the personality) is complex.........since it is bombarded by so many D60 Amsas.

Note the above principle and way of processing only applies to NON-PLANETARY LORD DIVISIONS FOR THE LAGNA. Planetary lord divisions, as you know, there is one and only one divisional chart applicable to an individual if his birth time is accurate, through the acceptable construction method for that divisional chart.
