I would say the position of AK in the 7th house would mean the soul has to learn some lessons in this life in respect to relationships. It may also mean, the person will meet his soul-mate. It is kind of tricky, I keep asking and reading about these things but every time I tend to wonder what exactly certain placement means

Yes true, but you need to look at the second house, who is the lord and where is it placed before saying a final word about the same. Rahu in Lagna gives self centred / selfish nature is a general saying because Rahu is nothing other than the ghost related to the present family or some soul related to the soul which is already present in the body. So, when ghost is present with lagna lord or in lagna, then the lagna lord is not the person who can decide things....and hence lagna lord becomes a victim of Rahu rather than to say that Lagna lord is selfish.
When the Rahu moves out of that person, you can see a totally different person.

Yes, there is a special signification of the position of atmakarak in the navamsha: that house becomes the karakamsha. An atmakarak will not become functional malefic just because it is debiliated. A debiliated atmakarak may mean, being modest.

A dignified atma karaka in rasi chart or powerful in shad varga is always a plus point in a horoscope. An exalted or say own house atma karaka would naturally be debilitated in any one of the divisions,however,mere debilitation in one varga does not render it weak.
Atma karaka has nothing to do with a ghost story ,a ghost ,even if it exists cannot be used to justify the morbid fantacies of a sick mind.

I have been working towards a top management position since quite some time and put my conditions forward while applying for job. And I am sincere about these conditions to them. Fortunately, Rahu is aspected by Jupiter from 2nd in my case, so I do not resort to fallacy and deception. But my objectives are very clear about being on the top. I did not tell Rahu is a ghost...Yes, Rahu can be read as ghost if it is in Ascendant or Lord of Ascendant with no benefic aspect and if it is in constellation with Gulika, then definitely so. If you want, you can accept. Not in generally though otherwise.

You have to see the condition of the atmakarak both in the rashi and in the navamsha.
A planet well placed in the rashi but debiliated in the navamsha definitely loses some strength. As to, 'Will the Atmakaraka still be powerful yet humble since its strength is robbed in the Navamsa..?', it can be considered that way.

A person body is like a CAGE. Atma lives in this body ( cage ). If Atmakaraka is weak or afflicted , then the Athma does not like to live in this cage for a long while.

The Sun is the Naisairka Athma Karaka. The Lagna Karaka also SUN. Why the sun is Lagna Karaka ?? Because of the sun light plants grow .....animal east plants and we human eats plants and animals too. Sun is life giver. So the Lagna Karaka is sun.
If Lagna has any planet which is bitter enemy to sun , then the native Dhi ( intelligence ) doesn't work properly. ( though he thinks he is correct ).

Yes Revribhavji. Infact that has been the story of my life. In 10th Std, I was sitting behind a person whose exam paper was visible and answer to one of the questions that i did not know. I read the whole answer but could not write it on my paper. And did not do it. Never done anything like this in life. No stealing, No indiscipline and stuff. Infact, In my college exams, I was extremely depressed. I stood up from all the exams in the minmal time i.e. 30 mins. Supervisor told me.. just sit down, I will manage pass marks for you. My reply was I want to fail sir. Did not take any help nor did i copy. I guess I get this from my father. Add to it, AK like Mars and exalted gives me a full fledged vitality to fight the causes of problems with spiritual discipline and not vengence. You are right sir.

Revribhavji - Another key point to note here is that my lagna is hemmed between Naisargik AK and Chara AK. This must also hold some significance. But I dont know what... As Siva mentioned about Soul and the moon... For me they have always been in Sync. No duality whatsoever at any time. It is actually interesting to note that .. My Jup-Mars, revived me from a very bad job situation and blessed me with a new angel baby girl in my life. Whereas in Sat-Sat-Mars, The mars subperiod was jobless for me. Exactly on the date it started was my last day of job and exactly on the day it ended I got the new job offer. I can understand that it is related to Job because Mars is also my 10th lord, but why two distinct results. The only thing I can see is Jup-Mars relationship is 3-11 and Sat-Mars is 6-8. Hopefully I am correct in my analysis.
Even now when I am writing this, I am running a subperiod of Mars. Sat-Sat-Jup-Mars and I am in talks about a new overseas permanent job the talks that started exactly on 11th April when this period started. Do you think this will materialize.?

2) Sri K.S.Krishnamurthy's Janma Chandra Lagnams are same . Makara - So clear thinking --- invention of KP system.
3) I try to recall it that if Chara Athmakaraka is afflicted in Lagnam , this gives incaceration /Jail /death ( somewhere I read unable to recall now but I have in my note book ).
