6th and 8th house role in horoscope matching

Namaste!
I'm looking for matches to get married and an astrologer I met sometime back asked me what am I looking for when it comes to matches. I simply said I should develop a liking when I speak with the person and there needs to be a match in frequency of our thoughts. Then the astrologer advised not to go for horoscopes with
1) Lagna 6th or 8th from my Lagna
2) Rashi/moon 6th or 8th from my rashi
What is the reason behind this? My lagna is Pisces and Rashi is Aquarius. (My birth details: 30 March 1984; 6:25am; Chennai; Female)

6th, 8th and 12th are 3 dusthanas (malefic houses).. the grossly represent following -
6th - diseases, debt, litigation, etc.
8th - death, sudden events, etc.
12th - losses, asylums, hospitals, etc.

In matchmaking it is considered that the 2 lagnas should not be in 6th or 8th to each other..
