Hi Astros,
I was not sure where to ask these - since they are not astrology related, so putting them here.
In general most of it can come under being taken for a ride but my question is for the intent.
If/when you help people
eg 1 - paying someone else's tuition(the person being from a needy family) for a long time with the intention that when they finish their studies they will help their own parents/family (hoping that it will raise that family), but the person availing the help strays from his dharmic path becos of the free help! - Then is it a good karma for the one who helps becos their intention was good, or bad karma becos this help without strings only made the situation worse?
eg 2 - If you perform a marriage of an unrelated girl (from everything incl kanyadhaan etc) with an intention of the couple having a happy married life in a dharmic way, but the couple ends up leading an unhappy life and you come to know later that their original marriage had happened even before your performing the kanyadhaan. Then is it a good karma or bad karma for the person who did it?
eg 3 - Helping for a surgery/medical help but at the end it becomes useless as they end up squandering a second chance.
Initially things seem for a good cause and you do it with a good intent but later your help seems useless or even worse, then is it paavam or punyam?
If it seems trivial please feel free to ignore the thread.

The answer is also non-astrological. Simple reason is because you are passing judgement on consequences of your own actions. It it is like me saying, I gave a beggar Rs. 100 thinking he will eat one meal today and not go to sleep hungry. BUt he goes to the nearby shop and buys cigarettes. What can I say! That does not make tarnish my intent or diminish my act of giving. One is distinct from the other.
Keep ego aside from all actions. That helps to separate your "self" from the fruits (results) of your karma (actions). Today do your duty, tomorrow forget it. Karam kiye jaa, phal ki chinta mat kar insaan. Expecting a positive or negative fruit of your karma is of no use.
It is not a mathematical game of addition and subtraction for net result.

people thought that they are helping someone but its not true,It is your karmic destiny to offer help to such people. It is linked with some kind of your credit-debit with such kind of people. Thats the reason behind our age old elders saying-"the left hand should not know what our right hand is offering some thing to some one "in the form of help.Krishna clearly mentioned it in his Geetha shastra as "Do your duty, whether it is your job or some kind of help and dont expect its fruits,w ether they are good or bad".you have to offer your help is a selfless way and also offer such help by surrender its results to Almighty.

Sureshji and Joydji,
Thank you for the reminders.
Yes, they do say 'last janmas debt' in my language.
Somehow when offering help one tends to see if it has maximum impact on the subject which relates to you (eg help for animal shelter when you are more of an animal lover instead of an eye hospital). Personal bias/pref/relation creeps up. Thanks again for responding.
Suresh ji - I am unable to give money to beggars even though I feel sad for their situation after seeing some of their handlers. I got your point though...
