Planets - Look at What They Disposit or the Aspect They Receive - May Change Their Affinity Camp

What all this mean is that there are different shades of friends and enemies if you consider the planets this particular planet disposits or what aspects this particuar planet receives.

For example, my Mercury disposits the Sun. This kind of Mercury may not be totally friendly to Venus so my Venus dispositing Mercury may actually weaken my Venus rather than strengthening it. This point must always be borne in mind.

Similarly would have been the case if my Mercury sits together with the Sun in Taurus, all other factors remaining equal.

Always try to adopt a data driven approach to synthasise a sutra.

If you have more than sufficent parameters, you will have an indicator that you are looking for. But when you take a data driven approch, and you are forced to replicate the exact same way on all horoscopes, then you will get my point.
