Hi learned members,
Does Taurus become the worst of all ASC because it has 3 moolatrikona in 3 dusthaan houses I.e., 6th house Libra, 8th house sagi and 12th house Aries. If so, what would be the best position for the Lord's in the chart. Like maybe placed in dusthaan itself or in Kendra or Kona houses.
Also, saturn is not considered as yogakaraka for Taurus as well.
And if venus was to be in a dusthaan causing vipreet rajyoga with the 6th house Libra how would that affect the ASC since it's Taurus.

well according to the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra Saturn is yogakaraka and does cause rajyoga for taurus.
Here's what it says:
"
FOR TAURAS ASCENDANT : Jupiter, Venus
and the Moon are malefics. Saturn
and the Sun are auspicious.
Saturn will cause Rajayoga. Mercury is somewhat
auspicious, Jupiter and Mars will inflict death. These
hints are for a Taurus native.
The Sun and Saturn are benefics. Saturn owns the best trine and best
angle and hence he will bestow kingly status on the native.
The Sun though a maiefic by virtue of owning an angle
proves auspicious. The rule that a malefic owning an angle should
own a trine also, so that he becomes a Yogakaraka
(vide sloka 14 ) is naturally not applicable to the luminaries as
they own only one sign each.
As regards
the role of Mercury he is only of mixed nature for Taurus ascendant
and he is not an excellent benefic by virtue of orvning a Maraka house in
addition to a trine. The 5th is his Mqolatrikona and exaltation
sign, If Mercury joins Saturn/Sun, he will act much more effectively.
...
"
Of course there are many other opinions,
but nevertheless at least from the "Highest authority" Parashara, Saturn is benefic/rajyoga causing for Taurus

Hi GNE,
Thanks for the feedback. Didn't know about the other planets significance in the chart. Since 9th lord is bhadhakesha for each ASC, doesn't that has any part to play in this saturn being yogakaraka?
Also, what about the placement of dusthaan lord in the chart. Since all 3 dusthaan are moolatrikona of different planets, where should the Lord's of these houses should sit in the chart.
And if 6th house, Libra, lord Venus was to placed in another dusthaan, how would that effect the ASC.
Sorry for the repeated questions.I am curious as to what could possibly make this ASC since the goodness of an ASC is measured by the placement of moolatrikona signs in the chart. And, only Taurus ASC has 3 moolatrikona signs in 3 dusthaans. No other ASC.
Please reply at your convenience.

If you have the right knowledge, EXACT predictions can be made. Astrology is an incredible tool for guidance, and one should take note of the energies of changing dasha lords.

Hey Astroboyprakuchan,
Yes Saturn is badhak, but I think since it's mooltrikon is 10th it makes it less harmful perhaps...well, honestly when it comes to badhak I've noticed some classic texts treat it as though it isn't so harmful unless it is weak and doing some harm directly to a "most" important planets like ascendant lord or moon... (like perhaps if conjunct ascendant lord, or in ascendant close to ascendant degree, conjunct moon in a negative house, etc.)
And some classics give exceptions , like badhak isn't very bad at all if it is in house 5 or 9.
There are others too but long story short badhak i's one of those "no two sages seem to agree exactly" topics, so I usually choose to follow just the general Parashara "yogakaraka" principles foremost. Meaning if for some ascendant badhak isn't also ruling another good house to make it a yogakaraka, then I'd treat that planet as more malefic. But most texts I've checked like BPHS say saturn gives raja yoga for taurus.
I would think the dusthaan lords should be best in their own signs in that dusthaan, or in another dusthaan as at least there's a vipareet raj yoga too.
Then again, most texts agree "all" planets to well in 11th in some way so it's never so bad to have one of them there too in my opinion.
especially since for taurus, the dushanta lords: venus is exalted in 11, mars in friend sign and usually does very well in 11 anyway, and jupiter would be in own sign and also does great in 11 usually too.
I've been told for taurus 6th lord venus in another dusthaan will still bring those dusthaan effects to the ascendant but very less so. Since it is lagna lord too it can "protect" against too harmfull effect...example, I know a taurus ascendant person with venus in sagittarius in 8th.... he works with a medical company and does research work too. He is also a fan of astrology ....so got some positive effects of 8th.
I dont know him personally enough to judge how else 8 manifested, but he not considered "weak bodied" or ill or anything so far (and is 32 years old). His venus is with mercury too though.
Hopefully other learned members can add more to your questions.

Hi,
I' m also very interested in this topic and i have Taurus ascendant too.. In my horoscope, 6th lord venus is placed in 8th house, sagittarius. 8th lord jupiter is placed in 6th house, libra. Apart from that, 12th lord Mars
is placed in 8th house also. In other words, 6th, and 12th house lords are conjuncted in 8th house.... what a combination... I'm very curious about that. Also read several articles and i came to know that is 'VIpareeta Rajayoga'. But i want to know that, how powerful if the three house lords have mutual aspect, as in my case. I want to know further information about this combination in my horoscope. Please help me in this regard...

I should comment on this as I have the exact question/feelings.
Taurus ascendant with 5 planets in Upachaya houses (10 & 11), 2 in trikona bhava(5th) and Rahu in 3rd. Ascendant lord exalted in 11th with Sun & Venus. Sounds promising at least as a start right? Guess what... I am going through a phase where am almost questioniong whether I took birth just to give suffering to myself and my parents.

Venus and Mars are throughly combust in 11th being very close in degrees. There goes significations of Ascendant and 7th house. Saturn in 5th wreaking havoc on 7th, 11th and 2nd by its aspect. I am unmarried at 36 and lost a well paying job very suddenly in May last year.. Absolutely no idea when I will get a next job and how rest of the future pans out. Don't know if it is because of being born in Purvabhadrapada nakshatra or because I am overthinking about it - I feel shaken from the core as if I do not have any ground to hold on to, no direction/purpose/fulfilment in life etc. To call it stressfull would be putting it lightly.
It's been years(since school time to be precise) that I developed interest in astrology. But I never got serious with it. It was just today that I accidentally stumbled upon Ashtavarga bindu system and learnt more about it online. All the time I just ignored the section in Jhora. All the excitement about planets in 11th and gains etc was gone in a moment as Ashtavarga shows more expenditure(12th) than gains. Not much information is available on this so not sure if I am missing anything in this self analysis. So yeah guess Taurus can be one of the bad ascendants(not sure if there are others.. guess it all comes down to signs occupied by planets).
However, I have only good things to say about Saturn Yogakaraka. My Saturn MD lasted till 2008. I got a great job very quickly after graduating from college. Had smooth rise in career. Was abroad during the last two years of the MD etc. So nothing wrong there.. Not sure if this could be linked to Saturn being retrogade.
And soon after the Saturn MD, Mercury dasha started and things have never been the same to an extent thatI miss my Saturn MD. Even though I moved three companies I've always had diasgreements with bosses/job dissatisfaction etc which finally led to losing my job last year. Now as the industry is also down, getting another job after 16 years of experience is getting really really challenging..
Hoping my devotion to Shiva and interest in meditation will help turn the tide soon.
