Dear members,

an interesting conversation with my mother made me think of something related to astrology. I mentioned some difficulties that I have at the moment and she told me that my father used to struggle during the same ages as me despite having good higher education like I do. She told me that circumstances took a sudden turn when he turned 32 (so in the 33rd year) and he has been successful with gains, travel, career from that time on.

I know people where everything important (marriage, children, education, career) came on time.

It makes me wonder what points to early success vs late success in a chart. I heard somewhere that Sun is an important signifactor of success and I do believe it has to do with maturity of planets as well.

What are your observations on this topic?

sun is the planet of energy. It represents our father, soul
if it is not strong then there will be late success in life
weak sun means debilitated, weak in directional strength, under malefic influence
but if sun is strong have directional strength success comes early in life native able to complete education, get partner at time, children, job money everything

when sun weak then there is lack of energy so other planets like saturn rahu ketu becomes strong and delay
matters.
strong mars along with sun also gives early success
while saturn rahu ketu delay, obstruct things
saturn is the karak of darkness, pessimism, delay
rahu is shadow planet it obstruct the energy of sun if with sun

astro dr anjna,

thank you very much for your input. So if Sun and Rahu are exchanging signs through Nakshatra, does that weaken the Sun's strength also? Also Sun being in Aquarius will delay things due to its connection to Saturn?

What interests me also is how can astrologers predict the age of the "rise" of the native? I often read about certain Nakshatras giving success after a certain year or that the effect of Moon Rahu or Sun Rahu will weaken after the age of 32.
I would love to learn more about that.

Many Celebrities have debilitated Sun and yet they succeeded early.

Sun not the Sole Factor. Never.

See the placement of Saturn.

Thank you, Astroguy90.

I'm still new to vedic astrology, so I need further information. What placement, what nakshatra, what house,... What placements point to success after 30?

Daisy:

Yours is a general question which does not have a particular answer. Success does not come in every aspect of life for all equally. Some do very well in studies, have good job and income, are rich, but have problems in marriage, or if not in children. Some are poor, have below average looks but get married and have many children but repeatly fail in studies and are unable to complete even a basic degree. Some have everything but not health, some have everything except health, some are good natured but have bad habit of drinking a lot and so on. So you cannot see a balanced horoscope. If one has normal education, normal job, money, wife and children, then that is itself balanced. When in one aspect, he is in elevated state, it is likely he gets nothing in the other. For eg. when one becomes too famous, say cine star and so on, they sometimes drink and dont have a peaceful life at some stage. So it is better to have a normal balanced life which is based on our karma in the past. Very few have balanced life anyway.

See horoscopes with first to twelth houses, can we have all 12 houses strong and 12 house lords strong in any horoscope?

Hello Dev,

thank you very much for your nice reply. Yes, you're correct, my question was way too broad. And of course, success in one field doesn't always mean a happy, overall successful life. Maybe it is more appropriate to ask whether a chart can determine a "rise" in the life of the native or point to when he will find his or her path or when life will take a turn. What do you think? I listened to an interview on Saptarishis Astrology and for one Nakshatra (I'm sorry I forgot which one) they said that usually for those natives life takes a turn in the 33rd year of age. It just seems to me that some people "wander around" in life for a few years and then suddenly find their way and others go straight vom Point A to Point B to Point C and so on.
A friend of mine graduated High School and everything she started (university, job,..) she quit after a few months because it wasn't the right fit. Nothing worked, friendships, relationships, didn't know where to move,.. Then, suddenly, EVERYTHING fell into place. It was quite a phoenix out of the ashes experience. Then I have other friends who knew what they wanted to study right away and there were no major ups and downs.

I mean, not everything can be explained by a chart alone, I get that. I'm just curious how somebody can detect a (sudden) rise in a horoscope. Maybe the 8th house points to that?

I'm happy for learning whatever I can about astrology :-) So thank you for helping!

Planets in Kendra bhavas give their results early in life. Hence if you have strong benefics in these bhavas chances are high that you enjoy early success in life.

Planets in Apoklima bhavas are supposed to give their results very late in life. If you have strong benefics only in these places, success will come to you after you reach a good old age.

This is a very basic criteria you can look at - though as Dev said, what one means by "success" can vary between individuals.

The dasa operative in a person's life changes from time to time, so if a strong dasa follows a very weak dasa, then sudden jump in status is very much possible.

Yes Dev ji, you are very correct. I have also noticed that no one has a perfectly content life. There is at least one aspect that is dysfunctional. I feel as if this is the universe's way of balancing.

Thank you, hari766, Dev and tandav, for contributing to my thread :)

You're right, maybe my choice of words wasn't that great - success can mean a lot of things. I agree that a change in Dasha's could indicate a sudden jump in status.. When I was switching from Sun to Moon Dasha a lot of things suddenly changed. Back then, I didn't even know about Vedic astrology.

Mine is OK but I have to see your horoscope and look how it could be. Usually when sat is swashetra or exalted or in friends house, there is nothing too bad I feel.
