Sorry if i'm offending others here. I will be more than happy if others have time to give a reading.

My birth details
Dob : 22-05-1989
Time : 01:45 a.m
Place : Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh, India

I'm in USA since August 2014, pursuing my studies in Comp. Science
I have been spending a lot of time on this forum since the last 3-4years and i do understand a bit of astrology when someone gives a reading. Though my intelligence/strategy is too good but my willpower and focus in life hasn't been good till date and i wasted a lot of time and lost upon many opportunities(but i'm still in a decent position though) but now things have started to improve - Hopefully i will stay focused :-D


I do believe in free-will, but i want to know how much my chart promises for self-employment. Sometime into the future, i would like to start something on my own. So, how does my short-term career and long-term career look like?How much of success in promised in own-business as per the chart?

Would appreciate if someone points out qualities in me that will oppose my progress in career - I hope i have the willpower to change my fate to some extent. Infact this will help me more.

P.S. Do NOT give any DATE specifics please. I want to have some excitement in life, i don't want to know when things will happen to me :)
Astrology, spirituality and my introspection helped a lot in understanding my short-comings, hopefully they will help me with my free-will and goals too

Dear Agora
Whenever there is any connection of 10H/L with 8H/L, it gives obstacles and break in career.
In ur chart such connection is present in D-1, Moon chart, D-10 and Karakamansha Lagna.
Hence I wont suggest you to go for own work.

How does the short-term career and long-term career look like?
Also
1)should i be sticking to just technical roles like architect or
2)should i try out my hand at technical management like Manager,technical director,CTO sort of roles in future or
3)Just i try out other management roles like marketing,consulting,finance,etc in future?

I like a lot of variety and might take up any or all of these paths sometime in the future...

Whenever there are multiple influences on 10H a person works in many areas of life.
Its really difficult to predict that the same person may work in Bank in daytime and work in theater in evenings and may give tuition on weekends. But it happens.
Let me make detailed analysis of your career/profession:
1. In ur chart, 10L Mars is in 5H (8th from 10H) but in own navamsa. It is placed in the nak of Jup who's 2L/11L (indicating finances and management). So you'll definitely work on management positions and that may be related to finances or management consultancy.
2. LL Sat & 10L Mars are in mutual aspect relation. This on one hand may impart kshtriya personality (leadership, boldness and initiation) in you; on the other hand this will give you a lot of name & fame.
3. In 10H, Moon is in debilitation. Moon is in watery sign and get aspected by 7L Sun, 2L/11L Jup, 5L/8L Mer and YK 4L/9L Ven. So in this lifetime you may go through different positions and expertise area. Debilitation of Moon may always give you a feeling of doing something else. So in a way, except Rahu & Ketu, all 7 planets are connecting to ur 10H/L.
4. In D-10, LL Ven is in 10H (this will make you famous) again with Jup (finances or mgmt consultancy) and these are in mutual aspect of Moon (Repeat influence). Ven & Jup conjunction also get aspected by 2L/7L Mars (repeat influence of 2L).

So keep learning (Your 10L Mars is in 5H and 5L Mer aspect 10H) as you'll to do a lot of things in this lifetime.

Debilitation of Moon may always give you a feeling of doing something else

I was from Electrical engineering background(was doing pretty good) before i moved to Computer Science for better work satisfaction....

So everything looks too promising with career BUT i shouldn't start anything of my own?
With no disrespect, can't i make one of my family members lets say my wife as the CEO(who probably won't have a 10H/L connection with 8H/L) and i handle other things unofficially? - Again no disrespect, just inquiring :idea:

In what way practically does 8H/L -mercury here brings losses?

There is absolutely no offenses. You are very much correct.
You may start work with with someone where you can handle the things and other person owns that.

The connection of 8H/L with 10H/L may give break in career, sudden changes, unexpected turns. Mer is 8H is one of its best placement as it makes Adhi yoga here which gives very gud results.
