Watch Out for a Planet PLaced 12th from the Sign it Rules

As what the title of the post says, a planet placed 12th from the Sign it Rules has SPECIAL POWERS. Why?

The house that follows the house where the planet is placed is ruled by the planet itself. And we know the 2nd to House A support closely House A. This means House A gets MORE POWER.

Example Venus is in Virgo in 4th. Although here Venus is in its fall, but Venus is ruling the 5th. The person is easily educated since 4th rules education (basic and general) and 5th rules knowledge.

You have Sun in Cancer in the 1st? This means your family members give you support that makes you shine like a king!!!!

Now come the clincher.

Saturn in Capricorn is doubly good where it is placed. Not only here is Saturn ruling the next house where it is placed. Saturn is in its own sign in the house where it is placed meaning the planet has double power to ensure the goodness of House A.

Example : Saturn in 7th in Capricorn. Close relationships benefit the individual in terms of resource acquisition (here it need not be the mate, the 7th, it can also mean someone you live with).

Saturn in Capricorn in the 9th. The boss basically listens to you. Such an easy life!!!!!

Saturn in Capricorn in the 10th. Not only are you a person of stature you make yourself known by being involved in a lot of committees (the 11th).

And so on.

Let's see my chart.

Saturn in Capricorn in the 7th in its own sign. Saturn rules 8th too. Already discussed.

Jupiter in Aquarius in the 8th. Jupiter rules 9th too. The external trimmings of spiritual acts including penance, which may mean just showing benevolence to those less fortunate than yourself which in itself is a charitable disposition and can be a penance since past life such benevolence was not forthcoming (the 9th) enhance my inner spirituality (the 8th).

Mercury in Taurus in the 11th. Mercury rules 12th too. Though I have losses, it only serves to enhance my gains. For example, excessive spending causes gains inflow through other means by providence eg. alternative avenues of income? One obvious example is anything spend on investments for future gains whatever that is. One of the best combination actually ie. 12th lord in the 11th.

Readers would realise that in HALF of the bhava chalit charts, each sign is straddled over two bhavas. This means in the process (bhava chalit shows process, to use it for interpretation Nadi aspects have to be used) of achieving one's outcomes, a lot of us try to strengthen all areas of our lives but ultimately as shown in the Rasi chart, only a handful of us have the luxury of strengths in a few areas based on the process (effort put in in the process of achieving one's goals) while the rest have to get strengths through other means like talents, lady luck, perseverance after achieving with support of an integrated personality, appropriate remedial measures, good karma intervention like Yogas, good transits after achievement (another kind of karma) etc.

What does it mean if 6th lord mercury in 5th for a Capricorn ascendant? your knowledge is increased by your enemies?

For taurus ascendant 5th lord mercury in 4th means you get educated easily with the knowledge you posses ?

I always thought it reduces the significations of the bhava when its lord is placed in 12th to it.
Did you see this working in reality for people who has similar placements?

Dear Khoo,

A student is reading class X. His Jupiter is in 5H i.e. Aquarius. 6H becomes is own house i.e. Pisces. But this boy is not at all good in studies. 6H support is not coming to him. He lacks interest in hard work also. Is there any exception to this principle of 2nd house support then ?

What you have written is in contradiction to what is K N Rao's book - Astrology, Destiny and the Wheel of time - pages 177-8. According to Rao, the effect is not beneficial and the planet actually destroys the good of the house he owns. He cites a few horoscopes to justify this. Can you please resolve this confusion?

Lagna lord Jupiter in Aquarius in the 12 th house and retrograde. But he is aspected by sun , Mars and Mercury from the 6th. Here Mercury lord of 7th in the 6th though being 7th lord his agenda is spoilt with respect to 7th house. Kindly elaborate.

Mars is malegic as well as the sun. Are actually weakening jupiter's good effect? I feel I have poor will power and unlucky too. Any decision made the results never fructify. But good things happen only if not tried and not desired. This has been my experience.

Mars and Mercury are in pushkara degrees and Mercury is in lagna in libra. I have read it gives no effect in dusthanas. The moon is in Sagittarius does that give any added strength to lagna lord is the only hope. But what a pity he is in the nakshatra of the 8th and 3rd lord Venus.

To top it all planets are far away from MEP 12.5 degrees. 27 ashtaksvarga points only for lagna. How do you analyze this. Would like to add mandi in 5th. Saturn in 4th suspecting the moon. This has certainly made me not so intelligent. Studious but dumb in early childhood. Rahu in 9th ketu in the 3rd. Now apathy towards propr communication is fully developed. I don't hVe many friends.
