Gemstones for - Mercury and Saturn

Dear members,

I have been advised to wear an emerald and blue sapphire by two astrologers based on my birth details (4-sep-1983; 00:45hrs; Bhopal, M.P, India).

While I can understand that for a Gemini ascendant (my lagna), Mercury and Saturn are 1,4 and 8,9 house lords - Parashara Rishi states that Mercury suffers from Kendra-adhipati dosha and Saturn is 8th lord, in addition to 9th house, so is not an outright benefic.

Please could someone have a look at my chart and advise. Essentially, it looks like:
1h = Gemini;
2h = Cancer = Moon + Mars;
3h = Leo = Sun + Venus;
4h = Virgo = Mercury;
5h = Libra = Saturn;
6h = Scorpio = Jupiter + Ketu;
7h = Saggitarius;
8h = Capricorn;
9h = Aquarius;
10h = Pisces;
11h = Aries;
12h = Taurus = Rahu.

I am currently wearing Yellow sapphire, Pearl and Ruby.

You should use Emerald with eyes closed provided the same is of good premium quality. Otherwise substitute like jade stone will also be beneficial. Further, Blue Sapphire is not suggested easily, regardless how strong Saturn is in a native's chart and even when such native belongs to the Saturnine Group. I also assume the Janma Nakshatra is Ashlesha which is ruled by Mercury. Therefore Emerald would be suitable for you. Moon is Marakadhipati - stop using it; Sun is your Third House Lord - Use of Ruby will make you unnecessarily aggressive and Jupiter is again Marakadhipati - stop using Yellow Sapphire. Your 5th House Lord is also afflicted. Start using Diamond (50-70 cents)/White Sapphire between 4-5 carats or white zircon/white opal between 5-7 carats. Even though Venus is also your 12th House Lord, it is a great natural benefic for Gemini Ascendant. Anyway is there any particular reason as to why you desire to use gemstones?

According to your horoscope you are Gemini ascendant. Your favourable planets Mercury and Saturn need to be strengthened as they are weak by placement in the horoscope. You may wear a combination of an Emerald and a Blue Sapphire in Right Little and Right Middle finger respectively for lifetime. Also you are currently going through Mercury Mahadasha, so wearing an Emerald will benefit you more.
Also along with Blue Sapphire and Emerald you may wear a Cat's Eye for Ketu.
