Anuradha Ji, In my chart Lagna lord as well as 2nd lord Saturn is exalted in 10th house both from moon and lagna. I lead a decent life. I think with this yoga basic necessities of life will be fulfilled .
But i believe 9th lord or 9th house strong will give massive fortune with regards to higher eduction or good luck.

Anuradha Ji, in the chart mars is placed poorly from lagna but good from Moon chart. Does moon chart has the capacity to over ride the results of lagna chart.SuryaLagna wrote:25/10/1983

I think the major factor could be Lagna Lord Jupiter the most benefic planet placed in its natural house i.e 9th house would have given awesome good fortune and good luck. 9th lord or its house is strong means attaining good fortune to a very good extent.

I know someone whose 2L-Moon though debilitated in the chart is in 1kendra from Moon.
Leading a super rich , comfortable and very matrialistic life...but not happy in general...may be becuase of the deb MOON.
Also, my daughter has her 2 L and 9 L (Lord for both is MARS) in 10 H from Moon (kendra from Moon). She is 6 and i am hoping her life becomes better than what it is now after 16. For now, we are both struggling..not financially as much as due to other reasons.

My wife has that. Virgo lagna so L2/L9 which is Venus is in 7th from lagna and 4th from Moon. So far she's had no concerns.
I seem to have it too, 2L & 9L Mars in 10th from Moon (in Leo) for pisces ascendant. My life got a good academic push in 17th year. One question though - does the lord have to be free of conjunctions or aspects in order for this yoga to fructify?

My life is not bad..After 16 th year , started to gain more independence , enjoyed friendship with both sexes...Also remarkably I feel my school life improved from 11th Standard and got better in college...Never had to wait for job only last year Dec 2013 to July 14...Overall got support from parents/ currently "highly " praised in job ....(lets see if i get a good increment)...In India also was praised a lot for my job, got pay hike 2 times in a single year ( Almost 90% salary increase in 3 years!!!)..Never had money problem,even if I had always got help from friends and parents...
The most imp thing I have experienced till now-- I am driven by strong intuition.Noting in my life is planned..I just go for it and most of the times i succeed .If not then something else (totaly diff and more ambitious) suddenly pops up and I am guided to success..I think I am lucky overall and somebody is wathing over me and shaping my life...

My 2L is in 4th house which is 7th from Moon(Moon is in 10th house...but in my case I had a lots of problems throughout my life so life didn't get any better from 16th year.Am I missing anything??

29 August 1984, 7:55am, kanpur (up), 2L & 9L Venus is in 1H to moon but debilitated. Ma'am as far as decent life but unfavourable time from past 3.5 years with lot of anxiety may be due to sadesati.
