India is gearing up for it's biggest election year yet. The country is going through economic turmoil with a pessimistic future outlook. Would members here like to share their thoughts on the outcome and general outlook for the next couple years?

Dear Jyotish friends,
Veteran astrologer Shri KN Rao is out with Narendra Modi's horoscope in his website. Please see link below.
If the horoscope given by Shri KN Rao garu is correct, then Narendra Modi has a strong vrischika lagna chart that shows higher position and power for some more time. Currently (April 15 to May 15, 2014), Sun is afflicted by Shani, Ketu and Mars. So he is facing lot of heat, at the same time Sun is exalted and he is able to manage it. But Sun moves to vrishabha rasi and its own nakshatra krittika (upto 10 degrees in vrishbha rasi 2,3,4 padam) on may 16, 2014. This will clear the way for him to continue his power and position. He will have a higher position in future.

All the planets in his chart are controlled by Sun (nadi analysis). Sun is in its own nakshatra that indicates high position and power.
Lagna is in anuradha, and shani is in 10th (karma -work)
Mars is in visaka (very good, lagna lord in best planet for vrischika lagna)
Moon is in anuradha and shani is in 10th (karma -work)
Jupiter is in satabhisha ruled by rahu , rahu is in 5th - big thinker, will make lots of decisions that are out of convention , this person is not afraid of making tough decisions.
Rahu is in uttarabhdrapada ruled by shani and shani is in 10th
venus is in poorvaphlaguni in its own naksahtra in 10th again
saturn is in uttaraaphalguni in sun's nakshatra
sun, mercury, ketu - all these are in in sun's nakshatra (uttaraphalguni)
As one can see, all the planets are controlled directly or indirectly by Sun. And Sun is very favorable for this person (lagna is vrishchika) and sun is very well placed in natal horoscope.
And India is running Sun's dasha !
PS: Note perhaps it is too late to write about Mr Modi. But I was waiting for some reputed astrologer to put up his horoscope. My analysis is simple using nadi astrology and nakshatra basis only. I am apolitical (not interested in politics) and not interested in the outcome of this election as I am not in India.

Please note that some KP astrologers are saying that Mr. Narendra Modi was born at 10.10 am, not in Mahesana but in Vadnagar. I think this gives tula lagna with so many planets in sun's star.
In the absence of birth certificate - is is always a toss-up.
Now that Polls are out, there is more that 60% chance that he will become PM. That begs the question why predict at this later stage? Perhaps all reputed astrologers are pressured into showing their skill and want their 15 minutes of fame in the world (can claim, I told you so, or I told 2 yrs back etc.)
1. right analysis -wrong time - he can still be PM.
2. wrong analysis, wrong chart, wrong time (full of astro jargon), he can still be PM
3. right analysis, right time -he can still be PM

16th Aug 1968, Hissar, 23.46pm.
Moon is exalted in Lagna, giving him a pleasing appearance and will also give him a rise in career, taking him to great heights. Saturn is debilitated in 12th, which is a blessing in disguise - it makes the negative aspects of 12th house subdued. Besides, Saturn happens to be the ruler of 10th and 9th house of Bhagya, having a positive aspect on 2nd house of wealth and family, also speech. This had made him an Engineer earlier and will always give him wealth. Saturn also rules the downtrodden people and service to common people. Thus, contrary to what astrologers have said about his Saturn being weak, it's his Saturn who has propelled him into politics and has given him success in it, taking the route of serving the common man (Aam Aadmi). In current transit, Saturn is exalted in his 6th house of service, in conjunction with Rahu the great strategist - again giving him strength to come into politics using strategy and using the slogan of serving the masses.
To add to this is a very strong Jupiter in 4th, aspecting Saturn, thus giving extra strength to the positive aspects of Saturn and also giving domestic comforts. Jupiter Mahadasha will give him further rise and will keep him in comfort. Mars debilitated in 3rd is again a blessing in disguise, as it reduces his struggles in life. He will achieve more than his efforts. Mercury is well placed in 4th aspecting 10th, thus he has successfully used communication technology to rise to success in career. Sun is also well placed in his own house, but is at 0 degree, thus losing his powers. Powerful Jupiter however, has protected 4th house and hence, Sun at 0 degree can't do harm.
The spoilsports in this chart are - you guessed it - Rahu-Ketu axis malefic in 5-11, also forming Kala Sarpa. I have seen people with Kala Sarpa living a very good life. So it doesn't mean he will face problems because of Kala Sarpa. But a malefic Ketu in 5th will lead to impulsive, impractical decisions, even sudden outburst of anger, which may lead to his eventual downfall. Q - Can he become the PM of India? This chart doesn't give a strong evidence of it, but he will always be in a good position.
Note - I wrote the above when he was still the CM of Delhi and since then, we have seen how his impracticalities have led to his resignation.
Narendra Modi -
17th of Sept 1950, 10.11am, Vadnagar.
Dasha combination will run during General Election - Moon/Rahu/Jupiter
Rahul Gandhi -
18th of June, 1970, 9.52 pm, New Delhi.
Dasha combination will run during election - Moon/Mars/Jupiter
Out of the three, Kejriwal's chart will run the relatively weakest period - of debilitated Saturn aspecting 6th house in its exaltation. In current transit, exalted Saturn is in 6th, which is not bad, but not the best situation for becoming the PM.
Both Modi and Rahul are running the debilitated Moon's Mahadasha, though in Modi's chart Moon has created Neechbhang with Mars in 2nd house of wealth. His Rahu is exceptionally good - vanquishing all enemies in 6th. A good Rahu is great in a politician's chart, because Rahu is the ultimate strategist. He will also run Rahu's Antardasha during elections. His Saturn is also good, aspecting the Lagna in its exaltation sign. In current transit, Saturn is exalted with the great strategist Rahu in his Lagna. The only downside is that his Saturn in Lagna chart is in Sandhi at 29 degrees, thus losing much of its power. Hence, he is deriving minimised effect of the current transit of exalted Saturn in Lagna. His Jupiter Pratyantar will be running at this time.
Rahul Gandhi has the exalted Saturn with Rahu in his 10th house in current transit. He too is running the debilitated Moon's Mahadasha. During election, his Mars Antardasha will be running. His Mars is also excellently placed in 6th, killing all his enemies. His Jupiter Pratyantar will be running then just like Modi. His Jupiter is placed in 10th, though in an enemy sign. Thus, he will derive from Mars what Modi will derive from Rahu during election.
Point to be noted is that from 22nd June onwards, Jupiter is going to be exalted - in Modi's 10th house and in Rahul's 7th house.
Taking all things into consideration, I would say that Kejriwal will cut votes, but won't become PM. Between Rahul and Modi it's going to be a close contest and the balance can swing in any direction. Most probably, both will get almost equal number of seats and then it depends upon whom the regional parties support more to form the government.
Others can read the 3 charts and make their own predictions.
PS - I don't find the method of reading parties' charts as sound, since it's difficult to cast the chart of a party or an organisation.

I do not have the verified chart of Sh Kejriwal and Sh Rahul Gandhi, so I cannot say anything. The chart you have used for Sh N. Modi is different than what Sh K.N Raoji has used. In mundane astrology the chart of the party and the country along with the prominent leaders are important to predict the outcome of an election.regards

By my calc NM is currently running Moon-Sat-Ketu (using the JOA details but topocentric postions ). Have a look at the Nk of Uttarphalguni.
Also if we go by this dasha scheme, two very powerful yogas are being activated. One is Chandra Mangal yoga (mark Nk exchange bet mars and Jupi) another is a very powerful Raj Yoga, Sat Ven in Leo in the 10th (Sat and Nk L Sun both in UPh and Ven in PPh). Ketu is in UPh also conjunct his Nk L Sun.
In transit Sat in exaltation is transiting the Abhishek Tara (Vishakha), but is retro. Sat Jup aspect each other and between them they are conjunct both 9th (moon) and 10th Ls (Sun). Jupi aspects natal Jupi and Sat Jup both are in the Nk of 5th L Jupi. 5th being the 8th from 10th. There might be some hiccups. What do you think?

In the Scorpio Lagna chart of Narendra Modi, Saturn in Sandhi and inimical in 10th, conjunct with 12th Lord and also aspecting 12th house, 10th Lord at 0 degree and Rahu malefic in 5th couldn't have given him the political success he got.

Coolji, I use the different calculation for dasha according to which he is under Moon-Jupiter-Mercury. Anter Dasha Lord is Jupiter which is the 5L [ As per B.P.H.S 9L is minister and 5L is Mukhya Mantri[ Chief Minister]. Moreover Jupiter is under the Nk exchange with Mars[LL][ as you have already mentioned] making a strong Gaj Keshri Yoga in Lagna indirectly. Mercury is in the 11H as 11L[ house of honor] under the close conjunction with 10L Sun. This combination become more strong since it is repeating from Moon Lagna and Dasha Lagna. 4H is also the house of'' Simhasan'' and 5L[ Trikone Lord] in 4H[ Kendra] is a Rajyoga. 4L [Saturn] is also aspecting the 4H, also in PUshkar Amsha[ 9th Navmansha] . Taking all things into consideration, I would say that Kejriwal will cut votes, but won't become PM. Between Rahul and Modi it's going to be a close contest and the balance can swing in any direction. The chart of Narendra Modi discussed by a professional astrologer in a local newspaper in our city also had Scorpio ascendant, and in fact, till date all the charts of Narendra Modi that I have seen getting analysed everywhere had Scorpio ascendant only. Only one of them had Libra ascendant, and the astrologer who used that ascendant was wrong in his prediction for Narendra Modi.
Even a person who knows the ABC of astrology will also not doubt about Narendra Modi's ascendant being Scorpio with Mars in it forming Ruchaka yoga as his personality matches with that very much.
And coming to the astrologer, who is being targeted a bit too much lately on this forum, all I will say is, he was great, he is great, and he will always remain great for his contribution in the field of astrology.
