Why is it said that Jupiter in Aquarius gives same result as in Cancer ? Is that true even if it is in the final degrees... that is around 25/26 degrees.

Aquarius and Cancer are two different rashis, have different nakshatras, have different lords - so its not possible that they give same results.

Hi
Aquarius is also ruled by Uranus, the planet of modern science and electronics. I have jupiter in lagna in aquarius, which is also vargottam
So Jupiter would be good in auqarius for a scientific attitude, for knowledge, but not necessarily for "faith" part of jupiter. so in a day to day life it may give a slightly "absent minded professor" kind of personality especially if the lagna is kumbha. also as per my knowledge, aquarian jupiter is also does not give any favourable status for progeny, like cancer or pisces or saggi jupiter.
For eg a Pisces jupiter may make a person religious in the sense that he go by traditional religious thoughts, he may pray in front of god, do all the karmakand with emotion, get different flowers and do various religiuos ceremonies.
An aquarian jupiter may have more faith in the sceintific part of religion (like astrology) . For eg - if someone tells me to visit hanuman temple on saturday, i usually go on sunday because on saturday its too crowded at the temple. Because I have never known hanuman telling anybody that you should pray to him on a particular day, most of these rules are prepared by unscrupulous priests to protect their "business". these rules are not relevant in the modern society.

I have written a past post on this - may be the same or different from the above link posted. You can search for it under my name and using some keywords.
Basically Jupiter in Aquarius is like Jupiter in Cancer and is stated in one of the traditional classics.
The 8th sign from any Sign A aspects sign A with or without a planet in the 8th sign from Sign A according to Jaimini Astrology excluding mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius and Gemini). So if you are analysing the effect on the sign in question, take that as an Ascendant.
With a Cancer Ascendant, Jupiter in Aquarius would then be on the 8th house. Then what happens?
(1) Jupiter aspects Cancer according to Jaimini Astrology. When a planet aspects a sign, in some ways it is as if placed in that itself. That is why for opposite signs, whenever you have planets in one sign, the person tend to show the characteristics of the opposite sign as well.
(2) Any planets in the 8th house always affect planets in the 1st house. Remember the 8th and 9th house from House A and in this case sign, tends to promote the affairs of House A. So here Jupiter in Aquarius tends to promote the sign Cancer.
(3) The effects on Cancer is stronger here because Jupiter is exalted in Cancer AND Jupiter is also digbala in the 1st house. This means everytime when Jupiter is found in the 8th or 9th house from the Cancer Ascendant, its effects on the 1st house is stronger.

>> Do you mean signs have drishti just like grahas have drishti (7th for all planets) ?

I have amended point (3) to qualify that the Ascendant I refer to is a Cancer Ascendant where the effect from the 8th house is strong although 8th always has influence on the Ascendant (see below explanation).
Yes signs have drhistis but I made reference to it for completeness sake in the explanation. It doers not have direct relevance to what I am explaining about Jupiter in Aquarius. Empty signs aspecting empty signs is an accepted precept in Jaimini Astrology.
Opposite signs here I refer to is the 7th house. For 8th-6th house relationship aspects, it is from Jaimini Astrology which I mention exclude Mutable Signs. It also covers aspects by signs as mentioned above. Also aspect from the 8th under Parasara kind of teaching although not acknowledged, as astrologers we know the 8th house has a vast impact on the Ascendant BECAUSE :
(1) 8th is the 9th of the 12th which means it has a great say on how the 12th turns out just like the 9th to the Ascendant makes or breaks the chart.
(2) And the 12th being situated next to the 1st house on its left side, has a great say on the karma of the individual.

What are the effects if jupiter is in 10th house for taurus ascendant? Will it be same as jupiter in cancer in 3rd house?

In fact ANY sign Jupiter is in on the 10th house except for mutable signs, it would be as if Jupiter is in the sign on the 3rd house.
BUT for Cancer on the 3rd in your case, Jupiter in Aquarius in the 10th, its effect as if in Cancer is STRONGER than for the other cases, because Parasara advocated taking Cancer as the Ascendant ie. the 1st house, and thus Jupiter in the 10th house in Aquarius, becomes back to the 8th house, and then what I have said about Jupiter in Aquarius applies all over again.
Of course if you have a Cancer Ascendant per se and Jupiter in Aquarius like me in the 8th house, then my effect would be stronger than in your case, say. But your case is still stronger than other cases where other signs are on the 10th house with Jupiter in it (except mutable signs on the 10th). Got the logic?

Yes, it does.
The concept of a retro planet is that the planet is placed as if in the previous house. As such from THAT house, the planet makes aspects, have conjunctions (if any) etc. just like its position in its usual house.

You take BOTH Jupiter in Capricorn in the 9th house and Jupiter in Aquarius in the 10th house.

One doubt that came up lately, would Jupiter still give good results although it becomes weak in capricorn and therefore would not have much strength in aquarius ? That said for scorpio rising ?
