A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and honest people are screwed first.

chart wih 6th Sept 1991 -
You are going through Venus-Venus-Rahu at the moment.
Rahu is malefic in 2nd house. Malefic Rahu creates problems in all areas of life and also makes intellect go in wrong directions. Suicidal thoughts are also an indication of malefic Rahu and Saturn. This situation will be better in 2013.
Venus is aspected by Saturn and in the Navansha, exalted Venus is conjunct with Saturn and Mars, thus limiting its benefic powers.
Lagna lord Mars is aspected by enemy Saturn and they are placed together in Navansha.
Saturn in 3rd is increasing your struggles and in Navansha is blocking your intellect.
Jupiter is well-placed in 10h house and Sun and Mercury are in Budhaditya Yoga in 10th.
Ultimately, you'll be very well-educated and will do very well in your career.
Remedies -
1 - Wear a white sandalwood necklace or tie pieces of sandalwood in a thin cloth around upper arm or neck.
2 - Light a til oil diya facing West daily.
3 - Wear a yellow sapphire 4.5 carats set in gold.
4 - Recite daily - Ganesha Atharvashirsha, any hymn for Saraswati, Hanuman Chalisa, Lakshmi Nrisimha Karavalambam followed by Sri Suktam, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 11 times followed by Durga Suktam from Maha Narayan Upanishad and Devi Suktam from Rig Veda.
5 - Call a priest to recite Durga Saptashati followed by havan every 2 Navaratris i.e., before Rama Navami and during Durga Puja.
Do all this for lifetime.
6 - Consider changing college and ask 123 for practical advice on studying!

Let me tell you simple mantra to pass exams....'Study hard and stay focused' ...works like a charm !
Find Bajrang Bali temple near your place and visit lord everday / tuesday. If temple is near by and you could do it everyday, start your day with visiting temple after bath in the morning and put sindoor from idols feet on your forehead..like a 'Tilak'. Start chanting Hanuman Chalisa DAILY after bath for atleast few months...its NOT a remedy for passing exam, but will surely help you stay focused.
Hope that helps !

I am in complete agreement with Sine's statement above. Well, I am by no means an astrologer, so can't comment on the nuances of vedic astrology.'Study hard and stay focused' ...works like a charm
However, I can vouch for one thing that the key to your problems is hard work. If you can take a leaf from my life, I can tell you that the fact I could remember things so vividly at your age is because I revised things as long as I couldn't remember them by heart. And where I lacked the understanding, I asked for help. In the current times, if you have access to Internet, which I am sure you have, there is tons of information available online which can help you in your coursework. So use it profusely at your convenience.
One more thing which may provide you some relief: Success in education does not necessarily warrant success in career. So, even if you may falter in education as observed in your case, you can still come out with flying colors in your career.
Lastly, my recommendation is to consider remedies purely in the spirit of enhancing your positive energy and don't hung up on expecting some miracles lest you will lose interest in them after a while.
Good luck and keep workin hard..

I will tell you an incident, which is my foundation ...for ever !
I hail from highly reputed brahmin family but coz of my deeds I became a disgust to my family around 92/93 period. I was thrown out of the house and there were days I slept hungry for days. Its then I realized the truth...that my parents have worked hard of what they are today...success deosnt come easy atleast for lower middle class like me.
Sept 93 I borrowed money and somehow managed 12-15 beers for my friends...who wanted to celebrate my birthday. I didnt take a single sip giving them some crap excuses ...and whole night I was studying for the exam. Finally ...I topped the entire state, photo published in all newspapers and was the first one to chose any engineering college anywhere in India. When the counseling started and my name was called first ....Tears in my fathers eyes was my ultimate trophy ....and rest is history
I believed in God and worked hard...no remedy or anything. My mantra is surrender to the almighty and do your karma...Lord Krishna preached karma like any other rational individual .

It's nice to see people giving practical advice and moral support ..
and wow Sinecurve, u were a state topper..that's amazing.
Can you believe that I prepared a speech to give in front of my school just in case I got a state rank
.
I missed it though...
Anand,
There was a girl in Comp science in my Univ who never got anything below a 9.0 grade point average.
During the final year as usual TCS (Tata) came on campus before any other company to pick all the best students they can and as fast as they can before the students realize how much salary they can get and what other opportunities they might have.
Obviously she was one of the first to get placed with a crappy salary, of course.
Eventually everybody in the batch got placed..all branches ..except for a handful of 6 pointers.
And placement season was technically over.
Guess what Verizon came on campus for the first time and offered jobs to those people with 4 times more salary than the 8 and 9 pointers.
And since, once placed, no one can interview again until everybody else was placed those toppers lost a great opportunity.
You never know how life will surprise you.
This is not me saying that u should not care about exams or your degree.
Remember those 6 pointers still passed and graduated with the rest of the class.
all I am saying is, when it comes to studies, since it's solely in your control, work harder.
If you can't concentrate, have smaller targets n reward yourself when u reach a target.
Reading loudly helps focus, I think.
If you can't remember what you read, read four times or ten times or till you remember.
Eat healthy, it helps you stay active n also keeps your brain active.
I am sure you are looking for astrological help and remedies but remedies take a lot of discipline and hardwork as well..so why not divert that hardwork n focus towards your academics!!
There is no shortcut or quickfix after all.

The guy who was straight topper in 8 semesters had only dream to establish his business at US with his other cousins and family. While most of us left India within few years after college, his visa got rejected 6 times in a row. Later he went into severe depression and what not...last I heard of him is he has left his job and doing Phd from last 2-3 years.Humannature wrote:It's nice to see people giving practical advice and moral support ..

Anyways...the point I missed to mention in last post was that I was a below average student. Its just after some ekta kappor style family courtroom melodrama, that I found myself in a do or die situation. All I wanted was to clear the entrance test, just that I didnt have the threshold to leave anything to chance.
One major concept I have learned from Astroboy is to first check the Moon. Half of the mass have no idea of what they are talking 'bout ...in fact you have to work with them to make them understand of what their core problem is...well solution eventually follows ones you know the root cause.

Looking at your chart can you be affirmative now that your state rank at that time was supported by your chart and your running dasha?
Or do you attribute it totally to freewill and your strong will power or even better to some miracle?
Or do you think that strong will that changed your life at that was also because of the running dasha and your chart?
It will be really helpful for me.
Thanks

Theres nothing outside the chart that you will ever achieve. Free-will or strong will power could be very well related to the strength of LL and Upchaya houses.Humannature wrote:Sinecurve, sinecurve wrote: Anyways...the point I missed to mention in last post was that I was a below average student. Taking my example...My chart has excellent education written all over it so planets had to find a way to get it done. I could only get best college if I was in toppers, so my planets created such situation where I stretched my Upchaya houses to the full extent or may be its other way.
See state rank was a fluke, for me I left no chance to destiny, but I am sure destiny had it written. 'Maktub' as Coehlo calls it !
Life changes your perception drastically over time like 3 -4 years back I had a very different outlook, of I thought that every problem has a solution. Even I felt that astrology is for losers, for people who dont have the balls to achieve what they want. I used to laugh at people who would tell me otherwise....and then my bad dasha started. It hammered me to the extent where I am now even scared to think positive for the planets might read my mind and reciprocate...
Having said that my Upchaya house still remain the same....so its not that I will give up trying. Frankly its not even in my hands....i wrote in my other thread that my Upchaya houses have become like nagging wife, who 24 by 7 pushes me to look for solutions and move forward in life.
For the advice I gave to the owner of the thread, I have no idea of why is he not able to even pass for 2 years...and what is he expecting astrologers to tell him ? Doing prayers will make him pass ? NO way...he will have to study anyways...he will have to write his exams. Remember those chilly winters when we used to call bluff as kids, and instead of providing remedies to our imaginary stomach ache, we were dragged out of bed and sent to school. Sometimes thats what people need....for they themselves aint aware of their problems.
Hope that helps !

Sinecurve,
Excellent posts by you on this thread. I read your post, where you mentioned how you worked very hard and achieved great success, and I read your latest post about predestined destiny, and I have to say this that I completely agree with you with everything you said.
Without effort, one cannot get anything in life, but whether a person will put effort or not and whether that effort will end up in success or not, completely depends on the planets in the person's birth chart. The 3rd and 6th houses, and Mars in the birth chart show how much effort one is going to put. The stronger they are, the more effort a person will put.
This is also very right said by you that our outlook towards life changes, and that’s because of the experience we have in life. A person who has a certain set of beliefs may after a few years have a completely different set of beliefs. It’s all about what we experience in life, and we can only understand how that person came to start believing what he does when we slip into his shoes, otherwise not.
You are right when you say that those who have had a smooth life, those whose efforts have paid, believe that it’s all in their hands. It’s only when one put efforts again, and again and don’t get the fruits of it that he starts realizing that things are not in his hands as he was thinking all the while. That is when he realizes, destiny is predestined.
I really am glad to see that though you are putting effort, you are being humble enough to say this that it is your destiny, which is making you do it and not your free will.

I too concur with your views just one thing I must add here is 'None other than who created it' knows ones destiny. No astrologer or Pundit could accurately tell of whats written in your destiny....they all take a shot with predictions and at times it does fall in place. So what alternatives is one left with ? What options do we have other than to just keep trying ....till we succeed ....or fail for that matter.

Sinecurve,
You know me. We have interacted before on this forum. I am Basab. I have created a new id as I wanted to make a new start on lova.
Coming to if someone can read our destiny, from what I have experienced in my consulting many astrologers, and what I have heard in my interactions with many people, who have consulted astrologers is that astrologers fail to give correct predictions most of the times. It doesn't mean that astrology is incorrect, it just means that it is a very difficult task to read a person's destiny from a chart, and only very few people who have the in-born aptitude to become an astrologer can be that and make fine predictions. Just like anyone and everyone can't be an artist or a musician or a sculptor, so everyone can't be an astrologer.
Coming to trying, people after a few tries give it up, surrendering themselves to God, and waiting for His mercy to fall on them, in the form of some new opportunities, when they would again put effort, to give their stand-still life a start again. But there are some, who never gives up, but keeps trying, which is something very appreciable, and which is from an astrological perspective, the blessings of strong 3rd and 6th houses, and a strong Mars. There is a saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going" --it very well applies to those people.

About astrology - Its a divine science and I am not even close to the level where I can question it. Having said that JHora these days has made everyone an astrologer...not denying that I am in same boat as well. It pretty much serves you everything on plate and if you have few basics figured out, you are all set to join the rat race of proving yourself a better astrologer. Best part is the concept 'WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORM OUR OWN VIEWS'...Perfect ! Now who would dare to question you with 'YOUR OWN VIEWS' on the subject ? All you need is ample time on hand and an internet connection...Bingo ! now you could analyze any chart any way and suggest any remedy based on 'YOUR OWN VIEWS'.
So getting correct predictions is also your destiny it seems. May be if we generate some good karma in this life, we will get a correct prediction in next life.

Sinecurve,
You are not the first person, who so easily recognized it to be me—quite a few others have done so, and that again very easily, and I think, I am partly responsible for that because though I have come with a new id, I have not in anyway tried to change my style of writing, and neither my beliefs, and as it’s our beliefs, which defines us to some extent, in my case, it being ‘destiny is predestined’, I never expected to see my identity staying hidden for long. But then, it’s really nice to see that you recognized me through my writing, and it’s really amazing indeed because we haven’t interacted since long. Coming to whether the lion will roar once more, well, it will try not to as much as possible, rest is in the hands of destiny.
I read your posts here sometimes and really like them. Coming to my life, things are pretty much the same as it was earlier, but as the character of Tom Hanks said, in the movie, “Cast Away” as to how he survived, even after staying in an island all alone for several years and came back fit and fine, that just keep breathing, so doing that and leaving things to time. Time is supposed to be the greatest healer after all.
It is true that there are these days many half-baked astrologers, thanks to the astrology softwares, and the astrology articles that are available on the net. I also fall in that category. I read a few books, read quite a few articles and got into predicting charts, but then, I never claimed to be an astrologer, so my conscience is clear there. I have not been doing astrology since long, as in, I have stopped reading astrology books/articles and don’t see charts, unless someone, who is a friend and is seriously in need of a reading, requests me. I tell the person though that my predictive skills are pathetic so that the person don’t get scared if I give a negative prediction or live on false hopes if I give a positive one.
What I have seen in the books/articles I have read is, it’s mostly post-mortem of charts that’s done, and a lot of times I don’t get convinced by the explanation that are given for the happenings in the lives of those people, whose charts they are. For a long period I kept my logical mind aside and read those books/articles, with blind faith leading me on, but then, I couldn't go on that way for long, and I gave up on my astrology studies. I sometimes feel like getting back into it, but then, I somehow find it difficult to do it as I don't understand how the planets work, and I don't know whether I am eligible to be an astrologer as I believe astrologers are born, not made.
Yes, getting correct predictions is definitely destiny. We get to know only that much about our future, which we are supposed to know. As I remember reading in one of K.N. Rao’s books, him saying that Lord Krishna showed Arjuna the dead bodies of the Kauravas before the battle started, but he didn’t show Arjuna the dead body of his own son Abhimanyu as then Arjuna wouldn’t have fought the battle.

....or if you write a super long answer the person evaluating your paper will not have patience to read your answers and will give you marks at least for filling up pages, I think.
I am serious. One of my fren's, after getting an 'A", said that she literally wrote non-sense in one of the answers like "pregnant women should not lift heavy weights etc.
Either her impression of being a good student overall got her an "A" just by the volume of the blue book or the prof was really drunk while he/she was evaluating the paper
