Yes, we all are waiting for Saturn to be exalted - except Leo, Scorpio and Pisces Lagna people I guess! :)

Can you please elbaorate why exalted Saturn in transit is not good for Pisces lagna? Please specify the negative effects that can be expected during this transit.

Hi Saindhavi Jee,

Thanks a lot for your time. I will keep the thread updated in view of your gracious predictions. I am an avid learner of Astrology so have a few doubts :

Although there is Neech Bhanga because of Venus there, Venus is receding from Libra and hence, its power is low. Besides, Mercury is combust in 7th.

Although Venus is receding it has value in Shadbala..Would that help. Sun also has support from LL Mars and Jupiter. However i agree Sun being debilitated has been the problem.

From 14th Nov, Sun-Jupiter will begin, which may be good for career.

Sun-Jupiter would start from March 2013. Sun-Rahu started in April 2012 and shall run for 11 months. So i believe i may have to wait a touch longer.

Your chart qualifies for Lagna Mahadasha system as well, according to which you are running Rahu Mahadasha, with Jupiter Antardasha. You have just completed combust Mercury Pratyantar in this system.
Kindly throw some light on how a chart clarifies for this particular dasha system.

From 26th Sept you'll be running Rahu-Jupiter-Venus, which may be good for career.

If this dasha is under standard Vimsottari dasha then there is a mismatch in dates. The horoscope is entirely correct. So i believe the dates got tangled up somewhere :D

In transit, as I wrote above, Saturn will be properly exalted in your 7th house and Mars will be in Scorpio from October beginning. Hence, this period may be good for career.

Ketu has been malefic in your 2nd house of wealth and family since May last year.

Overall, career prospects should brighten up from mid-Sept onwards and by Nov end you should get a job.

In December end, Rahu-Ketu axis will shift to Libra-Aries, which will be very benefic for you.

So, keep track of these dates. It will be good to get a feedback from you.

Again thanks a lot for your time. If the dates are revised kindly throw some light...

Rajath,

For Pisces Lagna, Libra Saturn will be 8th, enhancing the negative powers of 8th house, (which may lead to slow and serious illnesses, especially related to bones and feet, accidents amongst other things) and casting a malefic look on 10th house of career, 2nd house of wealth and family and 5th of intellectual and creative activity.

Ambisan,

No, financial speculation may not work.

Smilingakash,

I'll get back to your post in a while.

Smilingakash,

It seems you have missed this thread -

http://www.lightonvedicastrology.com/ph ... =9&t=16560

About the difference in Sun-Jupiter dates, there is a few months' difference between Mahadasha calculation using position of planets of planets from centre of Earth and using their position as they are.

You can check when it looks like Sun-Jupiter is beginning - in November or in March. You can come back and give a feedback, so that we'll know which dates work better.

I have given you all the dates according to different systems. Moon Vimshotari dates are regular ones and others are for observation.

I have given you religious remedy for Venus, as you can wear a gem for Venus if you are wearing pearl, which is from opposite group.

Despite having good Shadbala, a receding Venus will show its effect.

Thanks Saindhavi ji;

Does Saturn's transit in 8th house indicate legal troubles or issues with in-laws or divorce related litigations in any way?

Ambisan,

Best of luck to you.

Light til oil diya facing West daily. Saturn is still in Sandhi (transition zone), but let's hope it will happen. Mars is good for Libra Lagna nowadays - till about 15th of Aug, though not for foreign travel.

Rajath,

Yes, that's possible.
Wear the emerald and opal as suggested.

You can recite any hymn for Vishnu and Lakshmi for both. See the list of hymns in the links below.

You can also recite the Budha Gayatri and Shukra Gayatri, both 108 times each.
Thanks a lot Saindhavaji for asking about my GMAT. I am done with that, and to my amazement I got the same score as before. I have left preparing for it and now I will apply to ISB and IIMs, whatever the result, I am not feeling confident though. I have had a bad history of failing at competitive exams (weak Me with no support from Ju), and in that sense I am quite satisfied with my result.

I am at an onsite location so I have not bought Opal and Panna still, but will do that when I return to India. I am doing other remedies for Me specially, such as using alum on teeth(6 months now), chanting of Ram Raksha Stotra (9 years, I have done that in Navratra morning too), Narayan Kavach and Vishnu Sahasranaam! I also read 108 names of Buddha. He has already punished me a lot

I am about to take a course in Spanish and then may be PMP (I know I will crack this because it is not a competition, and I already have 15 certifications, mostly in Financial Services).

I am also beginning with 108*11 malas of morning Gayatri Mantra, it gives me immense strength and actually when last time I told that i am feeling confident, I thought that it was because of this (i was in a cycle of 40 days for the same) only, but Ma was the reason (its good that Ma is moving away from Virgo soon  )
Again thanks a lot for asking about my GMAT! I have started to feel that I can never boast a good score before anyone or ever post a FB status such as cracked GMAT with 720, I am cursed in this!

I have restarted on my blog too.

Vishnu hymns will be inactive unless you follow them up with Lakshmi hymn(s).

Masculine gods remain inactive unless you activate their energy with their Shakti and Lakshmi is Vishnu's Shakti.

This is why you should recite hymns for Lakshmi and Vishnu together, otherwise reciting all these hymns only for Vishnu is of no consequence.

Of course, reciting hymns for both will be useful for Mercury as well as for Venus.

Dear Saindhaviji,
I am Srikanth Palla - a new member on this forum. I read the discussion thread related to Saturn-mars transit effects on various lagnas.
I am one of the victims of the above transit. I am virgo lagna leo rashi. I lost my job on May 18 when retro saturn returned to Virgo. Since then i am jobless and struggling a lot. When do you think i will get a job?

Me and my wife are both religious - we recite vishnu sahsranamam daily. In fact we recently completed 108 times chanting of Vishnu sahasranamam in 40 days. I recite gayathri mantra, Ganesha strotra and my wifereciting many other stotras daily. But so far no result.

As you wrote, some prospects of job were there in the last week of july but they didn't materialize. I am trying for a job for my wife, that too is not happening. I am running Mars MD and Venus AD. Venus is yogaakaraka for me. Saturn is placed in Areis retro and debilitated in birth chart. Here are the details. DOB sep 28 1970, 6.00 AM Mahaboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh India.

What is preventing me in getting a job? Please suggest suitable remedies

Your replies always bring a revelation to me! And I am left amazed! So whatever chanting I have done for so many years, is it going in vain? FYI.. I do some chanting for Durgaji...Saptshloki Durga and 108 names, they are a part of my daily routine, even though I dont have a strong feeling for female deities (I prefer seeing Lord Krishna with with Yashoda Maa, but not when he is with Radhaji), the only exception being Gayattri Mata; will She not going to be appeased with chanting that I am doing?

Can you please comment on other things (more revelations for me :D ) which i mentioned in my previous post. Which mantra of Lakshmiji (I actualy NEVER thought of chanting any mantra for her) will be best for me?

Also, you said that masculine Gods remain inactive until energized with their shakti, then what about Hanumanji? Just a question crept in my head (mercurian trait p 8) .

Ganesha, Hanuman and Karttikeya are exceptions to this rule.

By the way, Gayatri Mantra is not for "Gayatri Mata;" it's a hymn for the Vedic deity Savitra, the resplendent Brahman (Not Brahma, who is a separate deity), often identified with Sun, who has been conceptualised as Brahman.

"Gayatri Mata" is a very late development and had no status in the Gayatri hymn of the Rig Veda.

"Gayatri" is basically the name of the metre (Chhanda) in which this mantra has been composed. Every mantra which follows this metre is called Gayatri of that particular deity - thus, Lakshmi Gayatri, Vishnu Gayatri, Durga Gayatri and so on. "Gayatri" in all these mantras refers to the metre called Gayatri.

The Gayatri Mantra is actually called Savitra Gayatri in the same style.

Ideally, all Puja should end with (according to many begin with) a hymn for Durga, but Puja for Vishnu must be accompanied with Puja for Lakshmi.

Only ascetics who have renounced the world worship only Vishnu without Lakshmi. For attaining materialistic achievements of this world, Vishnu should be worshipped with Lakshmi. Whatever you have prayed so far will take you closer to the spiritual goal of Moksha, but now you need to worship Lakshmi with Vishnu for worldly goals.

Instead of doing all this Puja, you can recite Gayatri Mantra 108 times, any hymn for Vishnu you like (Vishnu Sahasra Nama, Narayana Suktam, Purusha Suktam, Dashavatara Stotram, Lakshmi Nrisimha Karavalambam etc) followed by Lakshmi Gayatri 51 times and hymns for Durga.

If you want, you can also recite Hanuman Chalisa and Rama Raksha Stotram before beginning Vishnu hymn. Of course, you invoke Ganesha in the beginning.

If you want to continue with all the hymns, you can do so, but add Lakshmi Gayatri 51 times to your list.

In addition, do Lakshmi Narayana Havan every Purnima. You can do it yourself if you can recite Sanskrit.

See links below.

Thanks a lot Saindhaviji.I will continue with what I am doing and add Lakshmi Gayatri (51 times) to it, and may be start with that in next Sukla Paksha, starting after 4 days!

Also, I was expecting some comments on my GMAT and further plans, since you asked me about it. Thanks for your help and guidance.

You can apply for as many Management Institutes as possible and since you're in US, you can also explore opportunity for various courses there. See what kind of courses are there which you can register for.

Let me give an update on how Saturn's transit has been so far for me (I am Libra lagna, Cancer rashi): I am undergoing severe stress, and it seems to me like Saturn is sitting right on my head. That's what I am feeling. When Saturn was in Libra last year, I had felt exactly the same, and things had got better when Saturn had retrograded to Virgo. Will share more if I see any changes in the near future.

Saindhavi ji,

My Saturn is in the 11th house in Leo, but I don't know whether it is a good placement or a bad one. Here's my birth details: 14th July 1980, 1:36 pm, Calcutta. You can see the chart and assess it better.

Where and how is Saturn in your Lagna chart?

I'll give my experiences of Saturn in Libra Sandhi on the Mars-Saturn transit thread, as this thread seems to be going in all kinds of directions all the time.

Thanks a lot Saindhaviji. I am not interested to study in US coz I want to study as per India's Business situations and economy and then contribute. Also, US is very expensive, I am not from a rich family :D, but trying to be rich :)

Anyways I just thought to update people on my experience after Shanidev left Virgo - i am feeling actually a bit better. i delivered something critical at workplace with moderate appreciation, some one purposefully took that recognition and I am quite fine with that, have seen that a lot in my life. I am feeling like do a lot of mantra chanting also! I started on Lakshmi Gayatri (108 times officially -suggested by Saindhaviji) and suddenly I am feeling better, and during the breaks, my mind on its own starts chanting - 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya' and it happens spontaneously.

On the home front, my mother had an accident 15 days from now, she is getting better, but still, I am worried coz her ascendant is Libra and Mars is moving into that to disturb Shanidev.

I am not in talking terms with my wife for long, no pragati on that, I am not even expecting.

I appeared at GMAT and scored same score (not good not bad). Additional responsibilities are coming over my head at workplace too. But i feel that i will handle!

Waiting for Mars to move to Libra, so that I can execute some more plans! Just 1 day

I forgot to tell my ascendant and rashi - Virgo and Sagittarius respectively :D, i am not born of mool luckily (luck did favored me there :D)

Hare Krsna!

Ok, I guess my own update on Mars-Saturn transit through Virgo-Libra is overdue.

As I wrote earlier, Saturn rules my Capricorn Rashi (Moon sign) and it is partially combust in my chart. Besides, Virgo Saturn is bad for me and Libra Saturn is good. But because of combustion, I see the effect of Saturn transit quite late - I hope this doesn't happen with exalted Saturn.

I saw the effect of Virgo Saturn only when Rahu moved into Scorpio and derived aspect from Virgo Saturn. My life since May 2011 has been down in dumps - personally and professionally.

Exalted Saturn had begun to give good effect since January - so you can see a 2 months' delay because of combustion.

But when Saturn went retrograde in Libra in February, I saw the adverse effects in about 2 weeks' time - again a delay because of combustion, but retrogression shortened the length of delay period.

Retrograde Saturn in Virgo was very bad for me and even when it became direct, things didn't improve. Mars in Leo and later in Virgo tried to improve things to some extent, so I have been floating in deep sea with just my head above water. Mars in transit and my extra-powerful Jupiter - and according to Anxious my Venus are the ones who have kept me afloat and saved me from drowning.

The good period of one and a half month or so when all planets aspected Rahu in Scorpio and controlled its power was the best period through this transit - I actually saw positive reversals in my life which I had never expected.

But the moment these planets began to move away from Taurus and lessened their aspect on Rahu, suddenly the thunderbolt struck again - in personal and professional life. I have not been able to reverse these so far.

Saturn in Virgo Sandhi and Mars in Virgo eased my anxieties a bit, though no improvements in my materialistic life. But it made a difference that Saturn no longer aspected Rahu.

Contd below...

...Contd from above -

I especially want to talk about the recent Saturn's movement in Libra Sandhi, with Mars in Virgo.

In my Lagna Nakshatra Mahadasha system, this also happens to be a small period of Rahu within Jupiter Mahadasha. For some reason, my regular Moon Nakshatra Mahadasha doesn't seem to work for past few years or so and this was also a reason why I took interest in Lagna Mahadasha system. Now I understand that I should see both Mahadashas in combination in a case like my chart, with more planets in Kendra.

Interestingly enough, just before Rahu period began, I got a recital of Durga Saptashati done with homam by a priest - without knowing anything about lagna Mahadasha - I began to take interest in it later and only then discovered I had begun a small Rahu period in Lagna Mahadasha system.

I just got an instinct to get this recital and homam done and followed my instincts.

Immediately after Durga Saptashati recital, I felt a sense of relief and peace within, as if all negativity had been flushed out and I was surrounded by a bubble of vacuum.

I also felt very confident of myself and felt I didn't need anymore remedies after this. This was the period when Saturn began to move into Libra Sandhi.

I increasingly lost the desire to chant mantras, do pujas and even light til oil diyas. I became highly irregular in my religious activities which I had been carrying out continuously since May last year.

This process continues and I'm increasingly moving away from religiosity and sometimes even feel I don't need to spend time on astrology.

Perhaps my posts on the adharmic people flourishing and Karma theory being meaningless is also a reflection of this change that is coming within me.

I am almost becoming like I was during most of my Rahu Mahadasha, before Rahu-Sun struck the thunderbolt.

Is this the effect of Saturn in Libra Sandhi, the Durga Saptashati recital, or the Rahu pratyantar in Lagna Mahadasha?

I can know only after a while, when I have observed enough.

Alongwith my mind moving away from religiosity, I have begun to think more practically and materialistically. I have speeded up my explorations of what kind of career and materialistic opportunities lie for me and begun to contact people and apply for positions more seriously than before.

Nothing concrete has materialised so far. It seems as if I am going to get something and then I don't get it in last moment - Saturn in Libra Sandhi correlated with partially combust Saturn in chart?

Virgo Mars has certainly been benefic, as I have received many job-related calls on Tuesdays.

But Saturn is not strong enough yet and Rahu is still in Scorpio, so I guess I have to wait till October. I hope I keep on floating and don't drown.

I am dreading Libra Mars-Saturn conjunction. Let's hope all goes well for all.

But the most important effect I see is this change within me, which is pulling me strongly towards materialistic, practical actions and away from religiosity.

I no longer feel scared thinking if I don't do remedies what may happen.

Perhaps, Goddess Durga has granted me a blessing to act in the world rather than engage in Puja and remedies.

Perhaps Saturn moving into Libra, combined with Rahu pratyantar is signalling me to return to materialistic achievements of the world, as I used to be before Rahu-Sun.

I am even gradually losing interest in astrology.

As I said, Saturn is not a planet of Dharmic religiosity. It gives you the knack for surviving and winning in the world, with the help of its friend Rahu. They act together.

Am I now waking up from an ages-long slumber of delusion caused by Rahu-Saturn, or am I falling deeper into the dark well of delusion created by Rahu-Saturn?

Only time will tell.

Hi Saindhavi ji,

I am Leo Lagna/Rashi and I am seeing some positive changes in life since last 2 weeks. Have got some success on carrier front and also have some positive changes in personal life as well.

This might be because Sade Sati has ended for me ?

Regards
Ambisan,

Yes, we all are waiting for Saturn to be exalted - except Leo, Scorpio and Pisces Lagna people I guess! :)
