Napolean also has a Libra Ascendant but neither too bad but not good either. Jupiter led him to conquer without planning for the backend strategy resulting in his army's retreat.

The key to handling Jupiter dasa for a Libra Ascendant is to conserve one's resources and be mindful of your next move in everything you do so that you do not end up like Napolean being stashed away in Ebos till the end of his days. Or like River Phoenix through lack of self intelligence (of what is good for oneself and what is detrimental) which led to his untimely death.

Jupiter in Libra is ruling two Dusthanas......but then they are both Uppachayas.
Now 3rd being 10th of the 6th, the 3rd bhava effects would predominate.
And because Jupiter is a great natural beneifc and 3rd is the house of initiatives, if Jupiter in the chart is helped by some additional factors, the person would get by through the bad period. (Mercury is somewhat in a similar position for an Aires Ascendant but Mercury is not a GREAT natural benefic).
If Jupiter is not bolstered by other factors, like in the case of River Phoenix, Jupiter cannot help.

I feel we shd also consider the placement of Jup.

I have learned the subject under his reserch classes at B.V.B for years but he always praised Jupiter for Libra Lagna as an exception by quoting the reference from Jatak Tattwa. Sh K.N Rao himself has Libra Lagna and Jupiter exalted in 10H regards.

And also Bharvartha Ratnakara says that Jupiter for a Libra Ascendant gives yoga. Here I interpret it to mean spirituality and not materiality. This is regardless of other factors. The 3rd bhava half of it is under Jupiter's direction. Sunrise is about to occur.

The spirituality of the 3rd is yoga (like K N Rao who practices yoga strictly for his spiritual practice), making concrete decisions towards higher spiritual enfoldment (like K N Rao conscious decision to take up astrology after making sure it would not affect his spiritual practice), help to the masses (like K N Rao for the setting up an Astrological Institute so that the masses can learn Astrology - 3rd is the 12th of the 4th of masses; so 3rd means help to the masses in an unusual way; 12th to House A does not mean loss of matters in House A only, it can also mean the significations of House A is defined in an unusual way). And let's not forget 3rd is also 8th of the 8th, the house of astrology.

This is unlike say Jupiter for a Capricorn Ascendant where Jupiter rules 3rd and 12th. In this case, the 12th being 10th to the 3rd, Jupiter effects for a Capricorn Ascendant person is more on the 12th house kind of spirituality like silent meditation, thinking about God and its wonders and giving praise inside, charity etc.

By the way for the benefit of readers, Jupiter for a Cancer Ascendant the 6th house effects are quite strong since 6th is the 10th of the 9th. So the Cancer Ascendant always offer practical help to the needy (different degrees of help depending on the development of the individual based on the person's chart).

But 9th is a trine so its effects are still relatively strong and BPHS credits Jupiter as a functional benefic for a Cancer Ascendant. Mabye this is one reason why in general Cancer Ascendants are difficult to get along with because they walk the talk.

Napolean when he was exiled to Ebos, he contemplated spiritually a lot because 3rd is the 4th of the 12th meaning the 12th house kind of spirituality would be kicked off by the 3rd when a crisis ocuurs (Napolean is under crisis when he was exiled to Ebos). This is so even though the 12th house is not ruled by Jupiter in Napolean's chart (he had a Libra Ascendant like you Dr. Neeraj).

There is no cut and dry thing as far as Astrology is concerned.

The last post shows that the 10th to House A exerts a considerable influence on House A even though both houses
may not share a common rulership. What more if they share a common rulership? That is why for the houses ruled by Mercury and the houses ruled by Jupiter, the house with Gemini or Sagittarius overlaying it respectively, often exerts a considerable pull on the native.

The word 'crisis' above is taken to mean 'searching for inner meaning'. Because it is only in times of crisis we go into ourselves and search for inner meaning in life.

Take the 9th and 12th house. When there is a crisis of 9th house matters like impending death of father, we bring the 9th house to the 12th arena. We may go for long foreign stays (9th house) in a foreign country (12th house).

For the Napolean example, he contemplated God (12th house) everyday (3rd house).

* Could you specify what the 'break' means, does it mean I will stop studies? Because I failed one time in summer 2009. Then I failed summer 2014 (peak of my sadesati). And now results aren't better. (Are there no remedies btw? ) Because It is not like I am dumb, I do have knowledge of various fields but academic studies lag

* You say: 'it'll give you gud results but it may not be through studies perhaps.'
=> good results regarding what, besides study what could it be giving me 'good results'? Job?

* Do I have any particular good yogas?

One last thing since you asked me to share the observation for Jupiter with those having Libra Ascendant.

For those who made it (for various factors that boost Jupiter - see KN Rao chart or PM Lee chart in my recent post), they are highly successful. There is always something to do with helping the masses in an energetic manner (3rd bhava).

Napolean was less successful and River Phoenix even less so. River Phoenix has a badly afflicted 12th house flanking Jupiter in the Lagna. PM Lee also has Jupiter in the Ascendant in Libra but both his 2nd house and 12th house are strong. Moon gets a Neecha Bhanga from Mars aspecting from the 11th and Venus gets a Neecha Bhanga from Mercury situated with it. And his strong 12th house is supporting a strong 11th house.

All four either has Jupiter in the Ascendant or the 10th bhava, so we can take it the planet exerts its effects throughout life regardless of the dasa operating at that time.

I'm not doubting your abilities or knowledge. From Lagna as well as from Moon, your 5L Sat is aspected by Jup which shows your knowledge in many fields. Then you've exalted vargottam Mer too which must give you very gud IQ.
What I have referred is that 5L in 6H is a combination of break in education which may be like change in stream/subjects or not giving exams for any of the reasons, or even fail in any subject.
We shd not mix up the 2 things: Qualification and knowledge.
There are many people who're very knowledgeable and did not studied too much in formal setup. While as many cases we can find with people having Masters but lacking in general knowledge.

Sat is in its mool trikona sign in D-1 and in Capricorn in D-9 which makes it very stong.
A malefic is always praised in 3H/6H or 11H.
A strong Sat in 6H will give you competitiveness, fighter spirit.
Since this Sat is placed in 10H of D-10, it shd give you very gud results related to ur career.

Navamsa dispositor of 10L has max say in the choice of career.
Your 10L Mer is placed in own navamsa.
Professions related to mer include trade/own business, Accountancy, Newspaper or media communications, authorship.
I think u shd get gud reuslts related to career after Nov 2015 in the Vimshottari PD of LL/10L Mer
The Jamini AD this time will be Leo which is aspected by AmK Jup, PK Sun as well as GK Ven & BK Moon.

I have a request for Astro reading, of my uncle, his birth details are below.

Born: Mumbai, 26 Aug 1966
Time: 6.05 am

Ours is a large family and we have been living in Houston for decades. But recently my uncle, becomes very philosophical (spiritual?) as he is almost 50 now. Well, we all like to call it midlife crisis! But curious if there's more to it than that... i mean, I hope is not depressed or anything, all his recent activities and talk seems very strange... its like he's wanting to pack up and go some place, move or something, tho he has a career and family here!!

Since here, normally people donot record birth time, and 30years back there was no such practice to record at birth places (Hospitals/Maternaty homes).

The time I quouted is given by mother, that she was born around 12:00 and 01:00 AM

Few things Like to add, may be that can help for better analysis.

She got engaged in 1998 and is married to cousin.

Married: May 2003
1st Child (boy) born 2005 (Pre-mature delivery, didn't survive)

Now She has 01 girl who was born 15 Dec 2006.

Since last 2years having problems in married life.
1. Stressed and pressured for not getting a second child (boy).

2. Husband behavior changed alot, not caring and has a secret 2nd marriage since more than a year and a Boy of few months as well.

Please review about above two things based on her birth chart.

Acc to the events given I feel TOB of 00-51 is more suitable as it explain the events better.
With TOB 00-51 I got Libra Asc 12-58 and Moon in Sagittarius at 24-24

Marriage in May 2003
Dasha: Mars-Jup
Mars is LL of D-1 and placed in 7H of D-9
Jup is placed in Lagna of D-1 and conjunct with Ven (LL of D-1)

First kid in 2005: Dasha Mars-Mer
Mars is placed with 5L Sat in D-1 and in D-7 again it is placed with 5L Ven. Hence potent to give kids but...
In natal chart 5L Sat is placed in 12H (8th from 5H) with malefic Mars. 5H is aspected by 3L/6L Jup (both positve as well as negative results)
In D-7, 5L Ven is in 8H (combination for abortion, loss of pregnancy or problem with child) with Mars and karaka for progeny Jup is debi here. But since Jup aspect 5H in D-1 as well as D-7, promise of child is there.
Mer is 8L from 5H and in D-9 it is placed in 8H
So in the dasha of Mars-Mer, the kid was born but cudnt survive.

In D-9, debi Mars in 7H indicates chances of domestic violence as well as man handling. This may be intensified in the PD of Mars to start from June 2015

From Upapada lagna Taurus, 2H contain Rahu and is aspected by Sat as well as Jup. The lord of UL, Ven is combust.

All these indicates problems in married life and lack of harmony. The present ADL Sat is 8L/9L from MDL Rahu and the next ADL Mer is posited in 8H from Mer. So future does not seem bright in this regard. It seems this situation will continue for some time.

2. Changes in houses
a. Moved with my parents to better official quarters in Nov - Dec 1984
b. Moved out of parental home for engineering in 1999. After completing engineering, moved to Delhi in Aug 2004 and came to Mumbai in Aug 2005. Travelled frequently between Mumbai - Delhi and Mumabi - Pune to be with my wife until she shifted here to Mumbai in July 2008. We again changed flats in April 2010 and have been in the same flat since

3. Education - Joined engineering in Feb 1999. Had a very difficult journey. It took me 6 years to complete engineering because I was misinformed about the syllabus.

4 & 5. Profession - Have been struggling in the Mumbai film industry since Aug 2005. Made a documentary in Nov 2010 on a spirutal subject and have been able to sell about copies 400 copies of the same in the international market. Made a film which was released in Dec 2012. The film got fantastical reviews from critics in leading news papers like TOI but did not make any money. Have been struggling since then to pay off the debts and start something new.

6. Married on 10th May 2005.

7. No kids. Wife suffered a miscarriage in April 2012

8. Have not suffered any major health issues. Though I occasionally have pain in my legs.
