Its a Saturn exalted in Lagna chart. Rashi is Gemini and moon is afflicted by Rahu thereby giving the native's father some psychological issues. The psychological issues might also be inherited by the native. (Kindly don't mind if its not true, I am just judging his chart and not him).
His dasha is of mercury which is in 8th house. Since Venus antardasha lord is in 3rd from mahadasha lord, this period will not be very troublesome for him but frankly speaking this mercury mahadasha can give him problems related to father's illness, spouse's health or even separation from spouse. He has a heavy 8th house, he will have worries related to chronic illnesses or even death of some of his near and dear ones. Responsibilities are also an area he has to greately work on.
In my opinion, the current phase of sade sati could also have given him court cases / diseases (both are represented by the same house so I cannot be sure which of these will take effect).
Let me add one more point here, he has saturn exalted in Lagna and Venus in 10th house. After the age of 36, he is expected to have lots of comforts in life. Saturn delays its good effects and Saturn is aspecting Venus thereby delaying Venus's effects also. But Saturn is Rajyogkarak and so this person will also enjoy a lot of wealth and can also be famous.
Now regarding Venus, well, Lagna lord in 10th is a good placement for career and I think it will help him during the current dasha though Venus also being the 8th lord can give him some job changes which eventually will turn in his favour.

regarding her/her father's psychological issues: there is none that i know of.
you are spot about Mer MD. Father underwent angio recently and of course she is worried. spouse also going thorugh minor health issues. nothing big. just a nag.
her first sade sati was in June 2000-2007 (as per my calc). 2000 was stressful for her. she didnt get the course she wanted to do in college. had to waste that one year. 2001 was stressful in her family, because of some relative causing trouble about marrying her forcefully.
after that it was smooth ride. she topped in college and became lecture in her alma mater. all in Sade Sati.
got married in start of Mer MD.

I am Tula rasi and running sade sati. Last two years have been very tough for me. I am unable to get start on my house construction. I lost several jobs. I am finding it hard to get my visa renewed. People have been backstabbing me ever since the beginning of the sade sati. In fact i felt the effect few months before it started. There is a lot of pressure form the family to go for jobs, but every experience has been devastating so far. Below is my birth details. Can someone please see this person's chart and let me know how will the upcoming sadhe sati period be for him? He has natal Saturn exalted in 7th house but Moon is in 8th house in Scorpio. I've read that if Moon is posited in any of the trik houses, then sadhe sati will be much worse. However, because of the exalted state of Saturn in his chart, I am unsure if it will be that bad or not. Also, Saturn is ruling 10th and 11th houses. 10th is okay but I have read 11th lord is bad.. so I'm not sure if all of these things mean that sadhe sati will give mediocre results all around or if it will be bad. I am still a novice in astrology so am not able to predict with certainty. If any learned astrologer can analyze the chart I would really appreciate it

I just finished my due of sade sati...and wanted to let you know that in past 7.5 years i lost tons of money in stock market and also in March 2011, got divorced......what a price to pay for sade sati. Saturn is also yoga karka, lord of 9th and 10th house, but it is placed in 12th hosue along with Mars in sign of Aries. Saturn is now in my 6th house - Libra; my current mahadash is Jupitor-Jupitor.

i just want to share my experience about sade sati .It was gud .It was not at all bad .i think sade sati started when i was 4 years ...during my primary education at school i was very good ..but i did suffer my health issues ..due to gods grace nothing big happened ..along with that i had my sani dasa during that time ...now asthama sani gonna start for me ..let me see how it is ???

i have tula lagan and saturn is in 12th house my moon rashi is taurus. currently i am in jup-jup mahadasha . as if now 1st phase of sade sati was not much troublesome . though i was having several fights (small) with my spouse . and due to my child there were some expenses . and since the 2nd phase had arrived i had promotion only name sake but no financial gain.
though i am worried about my mahadasha.
