Since there are many combinations for love marriage and dasha was conducive in early days also. In 1986, did your marriage happened between September 21, 1986 to November 5, 2011. The other combinations suggests that you are a very handsome personality, looks younger than your age, with good writing and communicating skills. 5L in 8H indicating that you have special interest for occult science like astrology. Why you did not had a love marriage is an enigma to me. regardsI graduated in 79 and joined a job same year. Got married (very conventional - Ju+Sa in 7th ) much later in 86. I wish I had read this while I was in school, I would have been in a better position to explain to my parents, why I don’t need to study and blame it all on planets in my chart.
I have mentioned it somewhere that my entire chart and life revolves around 12th house and thus my 4th house as: (i) I am/will be running consecutive dashas of planets placed in 12th house (Mars, Rahu-current, Jupiter-next) and (ii) 12th house has parivartan with my 4th house, where Sun and LL Mercury (combust) are placed. Also, I have a VRY yet retro Jupiter in 12th and a parivartan between Mars and Mercury in navamsa.
I never ever ever ever studied for any exams in my life. I was always considered an average student at school and at home as I was always compared to my older sibling who has an exalted Jupiter and Saturn aspecting her education houses, so she was a complete bookworm. I hardly put in half of her efforts and was always taunted for the same both at school and home.
Rahu and Mars played a huge role in my educational life, I use to show up for exams either reading only important topics or just because I relied on my listening skills during a lecture or because I hated the topic so much that I did not want to do anything with it… so giving an exam was just a formality.
At the beginning of my Mars MD, I awed everyone including myself by topping the school and getting in the #1 college of Maharashtra. Engg was all through my Mars MD and cumulatively I may have studied not more than 1 month in any academic year, yet scoring well.
My Masters and PhD were completed in my on-going Rahu MD (troublesome), and I use to just listen to lectures or read notes an hour/day before the exam. During Ra MD, I also changed my research fields, I went from medical engg to medical sciences and then changed specialty of research from cardiology to oncology to cardiology. I did have setbacks in my PhD where my thesis topic was changed after a year… yet I completed my PhD in 4 years, so far the fastest in my field with plenty of accolades.
Although, I use to believe retro Guru (karaka for education) and malefic Ravi (pass with flying colors) had nothing to do with my education… only now I have slowly started realizing the power of Guru in 12th house.
Also, my 9th lord, Shukra is well-placed in my 5th house, giving me a good memory, but 5th house in general has a papa-katari yoga (placed between malefic Sun in 4th and malefic Ketu in 6th).
A very well-known astrologer in Mumbai had predicted that I will have several disappointments in life in terms of education, career, as well as family life and my parents should be happy even if I complete a bachelors.
My D-24 in general is good. Also, although I dont have many qualifications to show, I am reasonably well read. Even the arudha of 9th is well placed in 5th. That is why I was a little puzzled.
You are right that 4th looks afflicted with Ra placed there and Sa's drishti. On the other hand 4th lord Budha is in 9th and no negative effect is seen in other significations of 4th except for some periods of bad health for my mother. Also Me-Ra peirod my education was very strong and I had a razor sharp mind in that period. Only experienced astrologers like you can say which areas get affectedSince 4th house is called as VIDYA Sthana , 4th house should be good .One will get good education only when there is sambandha to 4th house. If ther is no sambandha to 4th house, then there may not much progress in Vidya. U will get the progress of that bava only.
That means ,

To share my readers on some points made by P Srivanas Rao in this thread applicable to my D11, the chart of final outcomes.
From D11 Ascendant,
I satisfy almost 100% of the following dictum :

When I was young (Saturn and Rahu are Lagna Lords), I did not like reading at all. I get most of my knowledge through unusual means like watching science fiction movies or TV shows, having flights of fantasy like about how ventilators can suck human beings in the show "Land of the Giants", tropical astrology (yes, Rahu also rules astrology besides Ketu, but not the mainstream kind) etc.
I also satisfy the following dictum :
