I am the regular follower of this Rahu mahadasa thread

please analyse my uncle's chart . He was born into a rich family. he enjoyed comforts until his parents death. He inherited property and jewellery and cash also. But at the moment he is not having shelter and wandering in different places and depends on his siblings for food and shelter. He married to a lady against the family members wish. The lady didn't respect him and the lady's main motive for marriage is to get the property from him. But it didn't go through with the interference of his brothers. So she kicked him from home. When the rahu mahadasa started in 2001 he met with an accident and his leg was broken .He is having a house in the prime area worth about rs.1 crore and his share of another site is also rs 1 crore. But the most sad thing is he doesnot have a penny to buy food also and living on the mercy of his sisters.

Dear Lakshmi:

His Rahu is exalted in 6th house of enemies and diseases and is in Nakshtra of Sun. Rahu when exalted in Kendra houses will give immense wealth to the native and in dushtanas will give reverse qualities of his depositor and/or the house it is present in.

Furthermore, he has several doshas in his chart,
KalaSarpa Dosha, generally Rahu Mahadasha is difficult for those having Kal Sarpa Dosha. Has he done shanti for this dosha?

Benefic Jupiter is in conjunction with Rahu so Rahu should have given all benefic blessings of Jupiter however, Jupiter is hemmed between Rahu and Ketu. The native also suffers from Guru Chandal Dosha.

Kematharu and Kemadruma dosha: No planets placed in trine houses (4, 7, 10) from moon and lagna. Causes use financial losses. A possibility of king to turn into pauper.

Did he lose his home comforts around Jan 2001 to August 2001 and/or around 2004 to 2006?

I feel his Ra MD should provide a lot of comforts for him but his doshas may be causing some hinderances. Ra/Ke and Saturn are karmic planets and sometimes they churn out the bad if no benefic aspects. Could you provide more dates to check the validity of the chart (wife birth details, marriage date, birth of child, etc.)

His current transit is not beneficial.
Ra/Ke are transiting over his natal Ke/Ra this period is the most difficult period. Sudden changes are possible.

Remedies:
Durga Saptashati, Vishnu Sahasnamam, Ganpati Sankastanasham Stotram, and light lemon lamps during Rahu Kalam.

His Venus is also retro... ask him to recite Mahalakshmi Asthakam or Astotaram Strotram. More once you confirm other details.

I find your posts so very accurate and true, and your remedies too,

I too am running a Rahu Mahadasha from 2003, and have had so many troubles that only i know how much i have suffered, as soon as i got married in june 2003, the MD started, post that so many financial problems, tensions etc. 8+years of marriage and no kid, no bank balance, no savings, Husband's job stability is missing . the only thing is my career is stable, no promotion though, only last year i got promoted in Novemebr, probably because of some planetary movement.

would really appreciate if you could help me by giving some remedies. Also if you could tell me what is a lemon diya please.

i do a lot of puja and fasts, had left Non veg food for 8 years, but have started recently as i lost faith in life because inspite of fasting for 4 days in a week, doing so much of puja and quitting all my favourite things, i wasnt getting any good. too many tensions always, one finishes and another problem mushrooms.

From the details you have given, your Rahu is good for your Lagna. But its Gochar has to be calculated, along with the Gochar of Saturn and Mars. I think your current problem in job is because of Saturn in Virgo aspecting your 11th house, where Rahu is also placed. Besides, Rahu-Mercury gives financial problems in many cases.

You can read my Rahu's account above. Rahu-Mercury was the period when I too faced financial difficulties, eventhough my Mercury is good by itself. This may not be true for all though.

Rahu and Mars malefic in your 7th house may obstruct your marriage. This gives you a Mangal Dosha and Rahu is blocking your marriage.

You may get some jobs but for a good break you'll have to wait till Rahu-Venus. Rahu-Ketu is not known to be great in most cases, though it didn't cause me any major harm. But I have seen others suffering during Rahu-Ketu. Besides, your Rahu in 7th means you have a malefic Ketu in the Lagna.

I hope you are already doing some remedies for Rahu.

You have given an impressive reading of your D10 chart and of other aspects in your horoscope!

You are right that Rahu in Scorpio, reinforced by Saturn's aspect from Virgo has caused financial issues in your case. But you also have to consider the following -

Saturn moved into Virgo in September 2009, while your Rahu-Mercury started in Jan 2011. In your account above, you have mentioned some problems in 2007-2009 period, though you kept on moving somehow. If you see the chart below of your Sadhe Sati, Kantak and Ashtam Shani, you can see that during 2007-2009, Saturn was in Leo, 4th from your Moon. This period roughly coincides with the account of problems you have given above. You have to callibrate your past problems during Rahu Mahadasha with this table, also corroborating it with Rahu transits to see what you get.

As for your current problems, can you relate it to the period starting from Sept 2009, when Saturn moved into Virgo, or to Jan 2011 when Rahu-Mercury started? Further, get the Rahu transit periods and see where Rahu was when your problems started and how Rahu-Ketu have moved since then.

If you can relate your current problems to any of these phases, you can understand how Rahu Mahadasha has been compounded by the Gochar. If you can relate it to Jan 2011 onwards, then the problem is definitely of Rahu-Mercury period.

Remember that your Mars in Lagna chart is malefic for your 7th house of professional partnerships, 10th house of career and 2nd house of wealth. Hence, it's quite possible that Rahu-Mercury has been compounded by Mars as well.

Since Ketu is also malefic in your Lagna chart, in addition to Hanuman Chalisa, fasts and lemon diyas, you should also recite Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times daily, besides trying to learn to pronounce Durga Saptashati. Till you can achieve the correct pronunciation, you can recite the Durga Gayatri Mantra 108 times - Om Girijaayei Vidmahe/Shiva Priyaayei Dhimahi/Tanno Durga prachodayaat.

Bur Durga Saptashati 1st chapter is still the best.

Firstly, apologies for the delay... have been busy at work lately.

Rahu MD is going to be troublesome for you. Rahu is debilitated in 12th house in Nk of Mercury. Furthermore, it is also conjunct with 9L- Sun, 7 &10L, Mercury, and 6 & 11L Venus. This is usually a debatable topic, whether Rahu should be alone or conjunct with a planet. It has its own pros and cons. I personally like Rahu to be alone and not placed in a dushtana so it will mimic the characteristics of the house and its dispositor. If it is conjunct with a particular planet it will start giving characteristics of that planet placed in the house. In your case, 9L (Dharma and faith) has gone to 12th house, spouse and business relations and career lord is in 12th, lord of financial gains is in 12th. Now add Rahu to it that can take the results of these planets in 12th and magnify these characteristics. 12th house is a house of expense, loss, foreign/forbidden places, and moksha. 12th house is 6th to 7th and thus indicates enemies, diseases, and debts and therefore has a negative influence on 7th house and possibilities of these matters will surface after marriage.

Parivartan between lords of, 11th (Venus) and 12th house (Mars), Dainya yog. Venus is also a lord of 6th house and can give Vipreet Raj Yoga during its MD or AD period however, as it involved in this Parivartan its 6th house effects are diminished. Possibilities of sudden financial losses or unnecessary expenses. Venus in 12th house causes secret relations. Venus conjunct with Rahu or Ketu may lead to separation from spouse under forced conditions.

Several/constant travels, residence in a foreign place (away from native place), Saturn (retro) in 7th house. Delayed marriage and/or problems in domestic/marital life.

Our lives are primarily controlled by: 1. our chart, 2. Dashas, and 3. transits. Ra MD will take you away your place of birth and will keep you constantly on a move. 12th house, planets placed in 12th house, and their relations/effects, and 12th house dispositor will be the primary focus of throughout Ra dasha.

Current transit: Jupiter is transiting through your rasi till May 2012. Ra/Ke are transiting over natal Ra/Ke may cause some mental frustrations and sudden/forced changes, Saturn in 10th house till Nov 2011, Mars in 9th house. Jupiter transit may protect 5th house. Jupiter is a karaka for children, this is a good time to try for progeny (trouble and difficulties in pregnancy is indicated by D7 charts). Career and finances will improve after June 2012 when Jupiter will move to Taurus and will shine its benefic aspect on your 12th house.

How was your 1980 to 85 period?
Did you have an intercaste marriage away from your place of birth?
Are you having any issues with sleep or trouble with left eye?
Were you always away from your father?
Moon in 5th house in Aries is not a good placement in terms of progeny. Troubled or difficult pregnancy.

Remedies:

5. Donate Channa dal to Brahmins and offer water to Pipal tree. Donate black or blue blanket to servants, poor people, or in a homeless shelter.
6. For improving finances: Recite Mahalakshmi Asthakam (daily) or Mahalakshmi Asthotaram Stotram (7-11 times) on Fridays.
7. Mars is 7th from moon and 12th from venus: Recite Hanuman Chalisa daily.


P.S: 9 – house of dharma, 7 – house of spouse and business partners, 10 – career/profession, 11 – financial gains, 12 – expenses and losses.

I am not sure what you would like to know? You are not even running a Rahu MD... you are currently running a Venus Mahadasha that will continue till 2023. Your Rahu MD will start in 2046. Your Ra/Ke are well placed in friendly signs and Nks. If you need a reading/analysis of your chart, please post it in readings section with your questions. This is not apt for this thread. Apologies!

She is currently going the last year of her Rahu MD. Rahu/Ke are in Mooltrikona. Again I do not know what you want to know in particular, so I shall give you a general overview. Her Rahu MD should have been good with occasions problems due to transits or otherwise. Good financial gains however, there may have been some problems or breaks in education. Some difficulty/struggle in getting a career of her choice however eventually things may have fallen in place. If married, marital life is usually a struggle for Leo natives as 6th and 7th lord happens to be an enemy of ascendant lord Sun. Furthermore, 6th is 12th from 7th and Leo natives usually suffer from loss of marriages or occasional separation from their spouse under forced conditions if Saturn does not receive a benefic aspect or is ill-placed. Her Saturn is retro and is in conjunct with malefic mars, so indicates troubles in domestic life. Her Moon suffers from Kemadruma yoga causing occasions lonlinesss and may cause sudden losses.

Jupiter is transiting over her 9th house, a good transit; Ra/Ke are currently debilitated in 4/10 house, Saturn is currently transiting over her natal saturn. The last ~4-5 years may have been tough for her with Saturn been in inimical Leo sign and then later transiting over her natal saturn (saturn return). Saturn return usually brings change in responsibilities either getting a job, or children, or marriage or relocations, etc. Native may have faced sudden changes in responsibilities in domestic as well as professional front in the last 2.5 years.

Overall, her Ra MD may have given her sudden gains in finances as well as good prospects in professional front. The problems in Ra MD may have been due to the transitory effects rather than Dasha effect. She will be ending her Ra MD soon (Sept 2012). Saturn is also leaving her Virgo sign and entering 3rd house, a good transit for Leo ascendants. Things should improve by November 15, 2011 and she may be experiencing is already.

Thank you for sharing your experiences about Ra-MD. It clearly shows a typical pattern. Congrats… you are finally ending your 18 yrs.

Your Ra/Ke are debilitated in 5/11 axis. Rahu is placed in inimical sign of Mars and in Jupiter’s nakshtra. You will be facing a troublesome Rahu dasha (which I am guessing you have already realized it). You are spot on that Rahu will affect education and financial gains causing occasional breaks in both these areas.
Regarding your career, 10th house has vargottam Jupiter in it. This is good however, Jupiter is retro indicating slow but sure results in profession. Furthermore, your 5th and 10th lord Mars is well placed in 11th house of financial gains, indicating gains through career and education. You will soon join a career apt with your education and will be earning well. Any hurdle in financial gains was because Rahu in 5th was aspecting 5&10L. Further hinderances, and delays in a stable career are due to Saturn’s aspect. The problems may have also surfaced during their MD/AD. Jupiter dasha will bring stable job and stable financial gains.

4L is retro and placed in inimical sign of Leo but is placed in own sign in D9 and D16. The good thing is Jupiter has a benefic aspect on 2nd house where Sun and 4L are placed. You will have your own land, conveyance, property, and musical instruments. Mars signifies land and property and aspects 4L, native will buy his own property. Jupiter-Jupiter and/or Jupiter-Venus are favorable times for buying/owning a property. Sun and Mercury are both in own houses. Unlike Ra-Mer, Jupiter-Mer will be better and will give you lots of courage and good intellect to deal with finances. I would personally make long-term investments after Mer AD.

Both Jupiter and Venus are retro. You need to be patient, benefic though retro will surely give their results at the right time and with the help of transitory planets.

Current transit: Jupiter return in 10th house and Ra/Ke return, this should have been a good time for you as far as career is concerned. However, Saturn is currently transiting through your first house, you are undergoing Sade Satti. Sade Satti in Ra MD increases hardships (this is only my observation).


Remedies (for job stability and conveyance):
1. Offer Channa Dal wrapped in a yellow cloth to Brahmins or in a temple on Thursdays.

I read some of these remedies in a book, i think the title was astrology for 21st century or something like tht. I shall check the same and will let you know. The book had a small section about remedies and benefits of Satvic methods and gems for the same. Some of the remedies are similar to those mentioned in Lal Kitab but differ in terms of houses and planets than what is recommended by LK.

It would be interesting to get comments on my Rahu experience.

Notably I do have 4 planets in the 9th house with 9th lord mercury exalted virgottam in the 9th house. Incidently Rahu-Mercury is creating most problems now although still continuing higher education!

Rahu is in 7th house of Cancer with a debilitated mars.
Its depositor is Moon, exalted in 5th house.
Its nakshatra depositor is saturn (lagna lord also) in the 9th house

Cancer rashi or 7th house has 40 SAV bindus

Ra MD is troublesome for you, which you have aptly pointed out.

I agree with most of the stuff you have mentioned. Only recently did I realize that Ra-Mer can cause such severe financial issues and can cause complete loss of money. As Saindhaviji has also pointed out that she too experienced financial difficulties in her Mer AD. My current Mer AD has made me realize the true value of money. Ra-Ra and Ra-Mer were difficult for me as far as finances are concerned.

Saindhaviji and you have made an excellent analysis of your chart, few things I would like to point out are:
You also have Kal Sarpa Dosha... This makes Ra MD even more difficult if one has not done Shanti. Please do Shanti for Kal Sarpa Dosha asap.

This Ra MD should trigger 1, 4, 5, 7, and 11th house and affect them the most to some extent it will also affect your 9th house. Ra-Ke is usually similar to Ra-Ra, so career or financial wise it may not help much either. You have 3 planets in mooltrikonas out of which 2 are well-placed. Excellent placement for Sun (although lord of dushtana) in 9th house of Dharma. Jupiter in 9th again is a good placement. LL also in house of Dharma. Mercury in its own house/Dharma. I feel higher education is still been continued due to strong 9th house. Jupiter MD will give you lots and lots of benefits.

As far as remedies goes, you are pretty much doing all necessary remedies. Just do Kal Sarpa Shanti, recite Vishnu Sahasranamam, and do Shiva abhishek on Mon/Sat. Durga Saptashati is the best if not follow Saindhaviji's directions.

Ra/Ke on 2/8 axis in rashi of Sat/Sun and Nks of Jupiter/Venus. Overall the transit is going to be mixed for the native. I am not exactly sure what you would like to know so I shall give a general overview. Rahu’s dispositor also the LL is placed in 12th house, chances of residence away from the place of birth. Usually, LL should not be placed in dusthana. However, Saturn been a natural malefic planet if placed in dushtana gives good results. Furthermore, LL and 2L of financial gains indicates residence or earnings from a place away from birth. 5&10L Venus in 8th house of adversities. Indicates some trouble in education, progenies, and profession/career. Sun, Moon, and Mercury in 9th house of Dharma, a good placement for Sun and Moon. Mercury is vergottam and is well placed in own sign. 7L lord moon in 9th house, again a good placement. However, Ra/Ke on 2/8 axis may cause some trouble in marital life.
