I like the article in the Diary Archives entitled, The Value of Chandra Lagna, dated December 14, 2005. I especially like the part that reads, "When the ascendant and the ascendant lord do not have many aspects and the Moon has many aspects then the chart will make more sense read from the Moon and it should be weighted more heavily. Generally, however, we should give more weight to the ascendant lagna as it's the mother of all lagnas."
In my rasi chart, both the ascendant and the ascendant lord receive no aspects, save one aspect from Ketu. Reading from the Moon lagna, Venus is exalted in the 10th House, while Mercury (1,4) and Ketu are located in the 9th House. Also from the Moon lagna, Venus rules the 5th and 12th Houses, while Jupiter (7,10) and Saturn (8,9) are located in the 7th House.
During Jupiter MD-Venus AD, I enjoyed my best years in school. During Saturn MD-Venus AD, I was newly married and experienced career success.
During Mercury MD-Venus AD, I encountered Aphrodite incarnate, experienced career success, and at the end of this period began serving in a spiritual community dedicated to the teachings of Yogananda.
Thank you for this brief but very impactful diary archive article!
