Dear astroboy,
Is punarbhu dosha the same as 'papa dosham' termed by south indian astrologers. I'm told that i hv this dosham. I do have an aspect of sat-moon in my horoscope. And yes, i change my mind so often, esp when it comes to marriage. You hv analysed my horoscope compatibility many times. I get proposals, but im never sure about accepting them. Even after accepting, i hv changed my mind due to some fear which stops me from taking the next step.

Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

In fact you have a very strong Jupiter[ Vargoottam and without any bad aspect and association] in 9H[ Dharm]. As per Bhavartha Ratnakar, Debilitated Saturn in in 5H is a Rajyoga aspected by Moon[8L] and Jupiter[LL], has given you a lot of interest in astrology and idealistic attitudeHi Astroboy
My details are : 1st August 1968, 4.17 p.m., Place: Trichur.

Anu Ji , Good morning to you .
, That was a fantastic bit of information . Seems to me that some kind of Maha vigyan yoga occurs too . I am not sure . Yoga is formed when there is a combination of the 5th , 9th , and the 8th lord / houses . It gives the native great creativity specialized intelligence and knowledge and hard concentration required by scientists and explorers for discovery and research . But Anu Ji , judging the situation of Shani and Kuja , I wonder if it could be strong . Wonder what Leo Girl does for a living . ??

Deepakji, No Mahavigyan, just a yoga. Exchange of Venus and Moon has given her the creativity which is further increased by the aspect of 5L Mars. Involvement of 8H is indicating towards research.9L Sun and 10L Mercury is forming the number one Rajyoga in 8H with 5L Mars also. She may have taken the professional education and her job is related to that. She is not able to present her self in job, though she is very good in that. regards

Thanks Anu & Astroboy.
Well, I don’t think I’m a creative person, but i fantasize all the time with creative ideas (though never put into action !!). U can say, I live in a dream world where I get whatever I want…and all my dreams come true!!, which never happens in my real life. And my job is nothing great. I’m a graduate working as an Executive with a MNC in the Finance Dept. Nothing creative about it..!

Dear Dahiya ji,
The word Punarbhu means rebirth. In the context of Hindu jurisprudence it means a woman who is married twice. If she has a child by her first marriage then that child becomes 'Punarbhava' in context to the second husband. i.e. If a man's wife has a son by her previous marriage, this son would be called punarbhava. Under Hindu Law, a Punarbhava was generally disallowed to perform the last two samskars of the Shodasha Samskars for the step father. They were 'Antyeshti' or funerary rituals and Shraddh/Pindadaan or propitiatory rituals for the departed soul. This disbarment also debarred them from any share in the step father's property after his death. Even when the stepfather predeceased the Punarbhava's mother, the son would have no claim in the properties that came to the mother through the stepfather. However the mother's children through the stepfather (if any) would have full claim. After her death, the property would pass to cousins related by blood or to her children through the deaceased husband.
However, if the stepfather allows the the stepson (punarbhava) to perform the 'antim samskars' i.e. antyeshti and pindadaan, in front of capable and creditable witnesses (usually clan elders and learned brahmins) then the Punarbhava had every right along with the sons of blood, if he performed the rites.
The above is taken from Jimutvahan's 'Dayabhaga' ( A compendium of Hindu Law's), the same applied to the 'Mitakshara' stream of Hindu Laws.
Astrologically Punarbhu yoga usually points towards a second marriage, it also denotes an acute ambivalence in regard to relationships. The incumbent suddenly changes his/her mind.
You are an astrologer of great repute and I am a novice, it does not become me to advice you, but still if I may - when a chart has punarbhu yoga then it may denote that the spouse has an issue from a previous marriage. This will be more probable if the native has 'dattaputra yoga' himself or herself.

You are quite correct that 'Punarbhu Yoga' is found in many texts. But actually the term 'Punarbhu' is both a legal and an astrological term. The ''Poonarybhoo ' dosha is a common term found in many books and in Jantrees aswelll ,it literary poonah-bhav - meaning something to re-occurr , which in relation to marriage means to be married again , and you will find it in cases involving marriages of a widow widower or divorcee.etc Even in case of children there are refrences when child will be born after 2nd marriage .It is generated when Moon is in direct influence of Saturn , by association or aspect as it is therein both the horoscopes underreference
Brihat Jatak has given it as someone born from 2nd marriage ,but this is not convincing as i have three charts having this combinations and inall these cases 2nd marriage did occur, but non of them is born of 2nd marriage

Thanks a lot for all your replies.
@ Pocean: Have you checked the position on the bhava chalit chart? I have moon in 3rd and Saturn in 10th but in the bhava chalit chart Saturn moves to the 9th (7th mutual aspect), so an astrologer told me to do a pooja for that.
