Deepakji, I respect your views. But these are the views of famous astrologer, Mr. P.S Iyer. I am trying hard to get his book and articles published. regards

Thanks Anu Ji, well Its a matter of belief at the end of the day . I believe in the yoga strongly . Its up to the rest to accept or discount it . I know it works because I have it myself . Who knows better than me since I am feeling the effects of it ? :( . Every word of Ernst ji's words ring true in my ear .

"The other variation is when Ketu, in its retrograde motion, is moving towards all the other planets. Here, Ketu is transforming all things in the native’s life. The goal of life is the completion and resolution of all things in the native’s life. This version is generally less stressful than the other, and gives a feeling of familiarity with the things the native has in his or her life, however, it gives discontentment with what the native does have as well as longings for things that the native cannot put their finger on . Kalasarpa Yoga only indicates that life is more fated and less directed by the native’s own personal volition."
he also says clearly,
Kalasarpa Yoga, however, has nothing to say about what the native will achieve or possess in life. Other yogas will indicate that. There are many great personages with this yoga as well as many who never achieve anything significant in life. If Kalasarpa Yoga is present and there are strong success producing yogas in the horoscope, then the native’s rise will be profound and significant, and they will play an important role in shaping the age in which they are born. If ill yogas are present, the native will suffer terribly. Essentially, Kalasarpa Yoga amplifies the intensity of all other yogas in the horoscope
.

The same has been endorsed by Prash Trivedi, and Svoboda Ji . I am in complete agreement with the definition . Its up to the others to accept it or discount it . Every word he has said is true to my life .

Anu ji , you are a gem . Thanks a lot for that pic . :)

Now from what I can understand

what he says is
1. if any planet is conjunct with Rahu and Ketu then there is no K.S.Y.
2. If any planet is outside the K.S.Y. axis then the yoga is defunct
3. In the dasha of Rahu he will lose everything
4. If there is a yogakarak graha is active and the man experiences that dasha he will florish prior to Rahu Mahadasha
5. Ketu dasha gives good fruits
.

In principle the author accepts that K.S.Y. exists . He is right on the Rahu dasha being bad. He is also right on point no 4 when he says that a person with K.S.Y. will flourish during his Yoga giving planet dasha . ( Exactly what Ernst Ji endorses . )

Correct me if wrong .

Thank you .

By the way . You have the best book collection amoungst us . I am sure of it now . :) .

Dont be modest Anu Ji :) , when you are good , accept that you are good . To dig up information is a talent by itsself . :) . But what ever you say . Your collection of books is fantastic . You must have taken a lot of time and patience to collect them . What I am impressed with is that you can access information whenever you want . That is great .

Good day to you Nina ,

It took me 5 pages to put across what I wanted to say . You have boiled those 5 pages down to a essence . You could not have said it better when you said . The words you have used are simple , concise and beautifully well articulated

This in essence is the result of K.S.Y. You have taken the words out of my mouth......

The main impact is not for the world to see & judge, the main impact is psychological, it is one's own negativity that's holding the person back from ever enjoying a fuller life. This way one part of the life of these natives remains "unfulfilled"

and your teacher is brilliant . Please convey my respect and regards for her . Also tell her that I agree with her a 1000 Pct when she says this .
Being of Sanjay Rath's school her explanation was that the KSY native will feel restricted in his life. It's because of a bad deed or bad deeds done to others in a past life, hindering someone else, that in this life the person chooses to pay for it and have themselves feel that restriction. So these people will work intensely on one portion of their karma in this life to resolve this issue.

Nina ji . Two words . Tied down is what I feel . I feel like as if i was born in fetters and will die in them . That in essence is K.S.Y. . every time I have tried to gain control of my of my life , it goes to auto mode. But I have found great peace in letting go. No point in trying to grab the controls from these 2 pilots Rahu and Ketu . Now I just sit and let them fly the plane . :)

Thanks and best regard's

Since there is no KSY, can we assume that the pregnancy/baby....everything will be fine??

Dear Astroboyji!!

I read the full thread...word by word...slowly and it really is insightful. ...I particularly liked the videos :D :D

My friend was worried because the family astrologer told her to do some Poojas (obviously the expense was in excess of 15k) before her due date to ensure a healthy baby.

But as you rightly said, since she does not have KSY....there is nothing to worry...And even if she has KSY....there is nothing, indeed, to worry...I did tell her that and believe me, she is feeling relieved…and is now looking forward to a shopping spree with the money saved !!

Its for astrologers like these (the one her family consulted), that KSY is dreaded by people like us who do not know anything about astrology . When sick, we put our faith, 100%, in our Doctor and obviously, when he advises us to take a painkiller, which can cure/alleviate the pain; we will blindly buy and pop the pills.
Similarly, when facing life changing events—good or bad, we rely on the advice of the astrologer(s) we are putting out faith in. If he tells us that some pariharas/poojas/remedies can bail us from the @#$%.....obviously we will buy his word and do as he tells us to….irrespective of the cost attached.

This thread breaks all the myths about KSY....

Thanks a lot for enlightening us and also for the shopping spree..!! 8) 8)

Warm Regards

Good day Nina ji,

First of all, thanks a ton for those very kind words .

You are right in your observation that Ernst Wilhelm ji is one of the best out there . I personally hold Robert Svoboda Ji in the Highest of regards . But Ernst ji is not far behind . :) . The constant contention to K.S.Y. being accepted as a Yoga / Dosha is that the yoga has not been listed in the B.P.H.S. But there are scores of new yogas which have been formed after the B.P.H.S. has been written . Another point I want to make is that, nothing prevents any astrologer from comming up with a combination to explain a particular effect . Just that it has to be proved as functional over different charts . Major S.G. khot came up with several combinations to explain mental diseases . These yogas have been accepted over a period of time . I have seen these combination work myself in several cases . K.S.Y. is one yoga whose results are, and can be constantly verified if we stick to the results of the yoga as explained by Ernst Wilhelm Ji and Komilla Sutton Ji .

Comming to the negative traits of the Nakshatra, It is Prash Trivedi Ji who himself said that in this yuga it is the negative traits of the nakshatra that come blazing out Not the positive . . That statement is absolutely true when you examine it from a unbiased point of view and with a open mind .
I hope I am doing justice in my writing on the Nakshatras . Please provide me any feed back you deem fit . It would be my pleasure to learn from you, and also incorporate your thoughts and point of view .

Lagna is tula . Rahu is in the 12th . All planets are heading towards Rahu and Rahu is heading towards the planets . This is called a Anuloma (Normal direction) K.S.Y. . The lagna is out of Rahu's grasp . Thus it is said that The lagna is out of the Rahu Ketu Axis . For more information read this entire thread carfully .

Good day Tanya ,

 Pretty interesting horoscope I must say . Its too close for comfort to take a call . rahu and moon are in a planetary war . If we change the setting to Topocentric the situation becomes even more interesting . I think I would say K.S.Y. does not exist by definition because the moon has Rahu by a small margin . But if you ask me , I would say that yes , you do have a K.S.Y.

I once again want to say that it's too close for comfort to take a call . How ever I feel the Rahu + Moon combo is more intense that the effects of K.S.Y.

Best regards ,

Good day sri Rama,
I dont know how your horoscope qualifies under K.S.Y. Chandra, Ravi, Shukra, and Budha are out of the Ketu Rahu axis . As per me There is no K.S.Y.
More over, I feel your horoscope makes sense using Drik . The planets of seperation are in the 2/8 exis in the D1 All the Malefics aspect the Mangalaya stana . Navamsha 7th house is also gone for a toss . I have no doubt Drik makes sense in your case .

Which is the good position out of these two for rahu ketu placement?

1. Rahu - Ketu without any other planets.
2. Rahu - Ketu with some planets ( conjunction)? (eg. Rahu + Moon in 1st house)

rehr,

Rahu-ketu alone is the best. Conjunction with other planets is not good.

H astroboy,

Kalsarpa yoga has alwaya been over rated like Manglik dosha; maybe due to the activity of greedy astrologers or astrologer who would like to scare people or negative minded astrologers.. etc etc.

The basic point of Kalsarpa yoga is:= A balanced chart denotes a balanced life. If all planets are on one side of the nodes, the chart will be seen to have a dis-balanced look; which upsets the normal flow of life.

See Prash Trivedi's take on it:but they are usually are not able to do justice to their position because of their imbalanced personalities .

The nodes being in kendras amounts to troubles in the lifes progress; but other yogas WILL have their say.

The houses affected by nodal axis will have some disruptions and be difficulty in progressing smoothly.
