My son left for aussie during 2007 (the start of sade sati) but could not complete his graduation and has returned to India during feb 2011. He is depressed and is adement to go for abroad in pursuit of atleast a diploma and is not heeding our advise. we are facing a huge burden of debt one side and a depressed son on the other side and we dont know what to do and are more apprehensive about his future. Will you advise please..

Chances of him settling away from place of birth is high. His Rahu will cause obsessive behavior and will take the native away from place of birth. West direction may be gainful to the native. You may try North Europe where education is free or financial aid is provided. Thus it will not be a huge burden for you. Native is destined to benefit from father, mother, and spouse.

Your post quoted by Explorings doesn't have your place of birth, so I made your tentative chart with New Delhi as place of birth. This chart has Rahu-Ketu in the same position as Explorings describes, so my reading is based on the planetary positions in Lagna chart only -

As Explorigs rightly describes, your Rahu-Ketu are good in Lagna chart and your Rahu Mahadasha should be ideally good and it should give you financial benefits. Your Saturn is also not bad and it should further give you good results.

But the Gochar effect of Rahu-Ketu and Saturn will have an impact on you.

Currently, Rahu-Ketu are malefic in 4-10 axis in your chart and before this, they were malefic in 5-11 axis in your chart. this has been the prime reason for your career-related instability and frequent job changes.

Besides, you have been running Rahu-Mercury and your Mercury is combust. This has added to career related instability and problems related to mental processes.

Rahu-Mercury Dasha is known to cause financial problems in many cases, though not in all cases.

First, don't wear Gomed, Ruby or Coral as all of these will harm you. Ruby is the gem of your Ascendant, but it will make combust Mercury even weaker.

If you must wear a gem, you should wear a good, clear emerald without any cracks and blemishes, 4.5 carats set in gold. This will strengthen your Mercury and will help you in your job.

Recite Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times followed by Devi Suktam from Rig Veda and Hanuman Chalisa daily.

Recite also Dashavatara Stotra by Jayadev or Vedanta Deshika, whichever you prefer, followed by Shri Suktam from Rig Veda daily.

Yes true and Saturn conjuncts Rahu controls haywire nature of Rahu. However, we should not forget that Saturn and Rahu are both camped in their mutual enemy "Sun's house". Rahu is a shadow planet and when conjunct with a planet will behave like it or the house it is placed in. Additionally, the dictum says: "Shaniwat Rahu ,Kuchavath kethu",which means Rahu behaves like Sani and Kethu behaves like Mars.
this dictum didnt came true in my case..I have ketu mars in 11th H so ketu should give results like mars in rahu MD ketu AD but in fact it was worst prd of my life till date.I was expecting some success in that prd but it was failures all over.


5. i am concerned about rahu -sat prd may be it affect uterus coz 5H represents uterus..again this would be prd of yogkarak sat too in my rahu sat prd i suffered b coz sat is malefic being 8th lord.
5H represents belly, heart, liver, and spleen. Is she having some problems related to uterus. Also, Ra-Sat prd does not necessarily mean it will affect her health. It may affect areas related to 5th house. IMO, 7th and 8th house is related to uterus... furthermore, venus is responsible for reproductive organs
yes you are right 5H represents liver spleen stomatch.her rahu is in star of venus which is 8th lord so I fear of uterus problem in rahu sat prd..rahu here behave like sat and sat has full aspect on 8th

With Jodhpur as place of birth, the above readings remain the same. I can add from the Navansha that Saturn adversely aspects your 10th lord Moon and also the 2nd house of wealth, causing problems in career. In the Lagna chart, Mars adversely aspects your Moon - another reason for not wearing coral. Besides, Jupiter is debilitated in the Navansha.

I have already prescribed you remedies for Saturn, Jupiter, Moon and Mars.

Do those remedies as suggested. Mercury is well placed in the Navansha and hence, emerald should suit you.

I have briefly explained my Rahu MD here in this thread. If any of you have some spare time would you mind taking a look into my chart? Currently I am at the end of my Rahu MD and things are going very smoothly for me right now but I would love to know how the end of my Rahu MD will be and how Jupiter MD will be for me? I have never asked anybody to look at my chart before and would love to know some basics of my chart. So, please if any of you have some time I would be truly grateful if you could spare me some of your time. My details are:

Sorry for the delay... I have been under the weather lately (I am a Virgo ascendant and Mars is transiting over my natal Rahu and aspecting 6th house increasing health-related issues)... so I can understand why you too are facing similar problems

Ra/Ke on 12/6 axis placed in inimical signs. Rahu is placed in enemy sign of Sun (Leo) with Saturn in nakshatra of Venus. The only good thing is Saturn is also in the same house and ideally it should tame Rahu but Saturn is in enemy sign and so Rahu will further magnify Saturn’s malefic characteristics. Furthermore, Rahu’s dispositor is placed in 11th house (12th to 12th so loss to 12th house) so some relief may be possible from sudden financial losses. Ketu is also ill-placed in house of Saturn and nakshtra of Rahu. Ketu’s dispositor is conjunct with Rahu. Rahu and Ketu are vargottam. The native will face troublesome Rahu MD and will suffer from unnecessary expenses and losses and troubles from enemies, betrayals, heath issues and mental stress. Career wise the chart is good. 12th Rahu will keep the native on a move. Native is expected to benefit away from place of birth. Natal chart shows moon afflicted by Mars and Rahu. Furthermore, moon was afflicted by malefic in July and September again by Mars. Moon is conjunct with Saturn and further afflicted by Ra,Ke and Mars in D-30 chart.

The current transit is further adding woos. Saturn was transiting over your 1st house; this was an extremely stressful period for Virgo ascendants. Saturn combustion in October may have added further difficulties increasing mental stress and agony. Now, that Saturn is out of Virgo and moved to Libra, native may have been experiencing some relief. Mars, a great enemy of Rahu is currently transiting over 12th house over your natal Rahu since October. Rahu and Ketu are currently debilitated. Jupiter’s is currently transiting through 8th house of adversities and throws some benefic aspect on Mars and 12th house. However, Jupiter’s is retrograding till December 2011; thus some relief may be obtained by mid-Jan 2011. Things will begin to improve by July 2012.

I have already given an analysis on his Ra MD. His D-24 is good and the native will be able to complete his undergrad and grad studies. His Jupiter is retro in 5th house of education in lagna chart and aspects his 2nd and 7th house of higher education in D-24. Delay in completing undergrad/grad studies is possible... there is no denial. He will be able to complete studies and get a degree. He may face some challenges in his career. His 10th lord is placed in 8th house of adversities conjunct with Ketu but his D-10 chart is strong.

I too used to think that way and wore 2 Gomeds (one Ceylonese and one Orissan) in Jupiter Mahadasha on an astrologer's advice for a few years (I wrote in the beginning of this thread that I didn't get a proper astrological advice during Rahu Mahadasha). But I noticed that my minor Rahu periods still gave me the same effects of my colleagues back-stabbing me, wrong decisions, wrong kinds of people coming in my life etc.

So, I began to explore information on Gomed and discovered that especially the gems of malefics such as the blue sapphire and Gomed give the effect of not only their placements in charts and their aspects, but also of their Gochar placements and aspects.

Hence, one has to keep on checking the movement of associated planets and keep on wearing and taking off the gems accordingly. Since it's not always possible to keep on doing this exercise and one can make a mistake, I feel that unless one is a good astrologer, one should not wear especially the gems related to Rahu-Ketu and Saturn, even if these planets are benefic in the person's chart.

Having found this, I took off my Gomeds and have decided never to wear them. I feel it's better to recite Mantras and do charity than to wear gems for these 3 planets. I am reciting the relevant hymns now and I see that while Rahu sill tries to harm me, I manage to escape unscathed out of his mayajaal (trap).

In Sharjah's chart, you are very right that Rahu is well-placed in chart itself. But in Gochar, he has been getting the effect of Rahu-Ketu's 5-11 and 4-10 axes. Gomed strengthens Rahu's placements in Gochar.

Hence, he has said that he got some good effects from Gomed, but not entirely. As Rahu moves closer to the zenith of the Scorpio sign, his Gomed will give him stronger effect of malefic Gochar of Rahu, eventhough Rahu is good in his chart.

When Rahu moves into Libra after December next year, he will get good effect of Gomed. But he'll have to keep on checking the Rahu Gochar and will have to take off the Gomed when Rahu is malefic in Gochar, such as when it reaches his Leo Lagna, when Gomed can be destructive for him.

Since there is a fair chance that he won't be able to keep track of Rahu's Gochar always, it's better not to wear Gomed.

She has problem of Rahu and Saturn Gochar in her chart. Currently, Rahu-Ketu are in 4-10 axis, affecting her career and domestic happiness. Before May, they were in 5-11 axis, affecting her income, children and mental process, such as wrong decisions.

Saturn is good in her chart, but it afflicts Jupiter and is currently malefic for her children, Bhagya and income.

Rahu will move out of Scorpio in December next year and will become benefic for her for the next 3 years, but when it reaches her Leo Ascendant, it can be very harmful especially because of Rahu Mahadasha.

Saturn is going to trouble her for a long time.

Ask her to do the following -

1 - In the morning, light a ghee diya facing the northern direction and recite any hymn for Ganesha, Vishnu Sahasranama and Lakshmi Ashtaka Stotra daily.

2 - Recite also Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 51 times and Hanuman Chalisa daily.

4 - In the evening, light a til (sesame) oil or mustard oil diya facing West and recite Dasharatha Shani Stotra daily.
