Explorings ji,

I have been browsing through this forum for weeks, and I want to ask a few things specifically from you.

My details are here (alongwith Saindhavi Ji's reply) viewtopic.php?f=9&p=141664#p141664

I also have Ra-Ke on 12/6 (just like u), so that means I also have angarak yoga as well as guru chandal yoga?

Should I also light lemon lamps with ghee/sesame oil in the evening?

What should I recite daily? Should start a Durga Saptashati path (one chapter daily)? (Though Saindhavi Ji has told me to get it done by a brahmin in Navratras, i.e. twice a year)

What else I must do to get the most out of the Gaj Kesari yoga that is expected to show effects in my current Rahu-Jupiter period. :) (I am getting impatient to get started with astrological remedies).

For Saindhavi Ji:

I observed fast last shukal paksh ashtami and recited devi suktam.

I got a white sandalwood necklace. (Don't know about its purity, so I will get one from haridvar later).

Which hymn should I recite for Ganesha Saraswati? I can speak sanskrit fluently.

I would rate my Rahu-Rahu period 8 on a sclae of 10. Current Jupiter period is somewhat better, like 6.

Sorry, I deleted my previous post. I posted too many details there (which I later realized). Thanks to everyone for not quoting that. I will keep posting about my dasha period here.

I originally started this thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18143

Thanks a lot.

Gaurav,

Ganesha Atharvashirsha and "Ya Kundendu Tushar Har dhavala" are amongst the best.

See links for hymns below my signature line.

There are two posts on Durga Saptashati recital on this thread. Just search by typing Durga Saptashati above. Reciting one chapter a day is the wrong way to do it.

Saindhavi Ji,

Big thanks for your reply again.

You said, ""If possible, get a recital of Durga Saptashati in Sanskrit by priest done every 2 Navaratris i.e., before Rama Navami and during Durga Puja."" So, I will not do 'Durga Saptashati' on my own, and will get it done by Brahmin in Navratras.

Till then, I will include Ganesha Atharvashirsha and Sarasvati Vandana (Ye kundendu tushar haar dhwla) in my daily pooja. (I used to do sarasvati vandana in college times, and by god, tab hi meri naiyya paar lag gayi thi, warna full-on supplies thi :) ).

Baaki, abhi sab theek h. Will tell you more if any change comes up.

Thanks Again

Thanks Saindhavi well appreciated for your analysis ,will follow the remedies and update as and when it treats me ...

Hyderabadee,

Your Rahu powerful in 8th is malefic and so is Ketu in 2nd. This may create problems in wealth, family including marriage and illnesses. Alternatively, it may also lead you to research or to mystic disciplines. Research in chemistry, biochemistry, computers or related disciplines will be good for you.

To complicate matters further, you have an extremely debilitated and malefic Saturn in 10th, suppressing Moon the Lagna Lord. This is the prime cause for your career problems.

Wear a pearl 6.3 carats set in gold. Fast every Shukla Paksha Ashtami. Wear white sandalwood necklace. Pray to Ganesha, Saraswati and Goddess Durga daily, apart from reciting Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times daily. Do regular charity for poor, orphans, handicapped and 3rd world countries.

Your career situation should improve after 11th of Jan when Rahu-Saturn become benefic.

Give regular feedback about your Rahu Mahadasha as it progresses.
I am currently undergoing rahu-jupiter. Recently I have been having a lot of skin problems ( I was recently asked to go to a dermatologist to consult on mole that could be skin cancer or viral infection. Is this typically seen during rahu mahadasha? Also, I am currently studying for medicine, does my chart indicate a good professional life?

A Rahu Mahadasha account -

Rahu MD so far

Rahu/Rahu = High School and study for Engineering
Rahu/Jupiter = Started Engineering
Rahu/Saturn = Completed Bachelors degree. Relocated to US upon admission at a university to pursue Masters Degree.
Rahu/Mer = Taught at University as a Teaching assistant and Completed Masters Degree. Attained the Diploma. Got a job at a major corporation in Silicon Valley. Relocated because of that.
Rahu/Ketu = Nothing extraordinary. Failed romances.
Rahu/Venu = Career growth begins. Leadership roles and increasing influence. Develop romantic relationship with a new friend. Lots of traveling for pleasure.
Rahu/Sun = Intense focus at work handling major crisis. Romantic relations suddenly end. Decide to change job roles within the company. Get my green card.
Rahu/Moon = Acquire a home. Pretty smooth going at work.
Rahu/Mars = Due from Mar 2013 - Apr 2014. Marriage??

Rahu dasha gave me everything except a good marriage partner. My health has been excellent and i have a good income. Although I am in dasha sandhi, I wonder what Mars bhukti has up its sleeve. I am strongly considering a career change from engineering to law under the auspice of Saturn and Rahu in Tula Gochara.

Hi Explorings and Saindhavi,

Thanks for this exclusive post and offering people advice on managing Rahu MD. Interesting experiences indeed.

As I mentioned earlier in the post on how overall Rahu MD was benefic materially (career, home, finance etc), the one thing that it deprived me was from a relationship. Granted the upcoming bhukti of Mars (L2+L7), has its deeds to do (colored by the upcoming combined gochara of Ra + Sa in my lagna), but I would like your take on my lifepartner.

To put things in perspective, this area remained a challenge from beginning as I had to first nurture the secret within me for years before coming out to my parents that I was gay. It was only when I moved to USA (Ra-Sa) that I had enough sequestered time to come to accept my sexuality and decide what was right for me in this life. Being from a conservative family (most indian families are), it was quite a daunting task to take the step of coming out to my parents even though I had the pressure of being their ideal, eldest son. In short, when I did come out to them finally (Ra-Ve), my relationship with them changed forever. They never disowned me but they knew the son that they had was no longer theirs. It has been 5 years since where things have improved a little bit where they are trying to come to terms with it however they still don't see how it will all work out for me. They have finally stopped bringing marriage proposals but continue to worry about my wellbeing even despite the success in all other areas of my life.

Coming back to my relationships, during the past 10 years in US, I met a lot of people from different cultural backgrounds and made friends. I found these connections very engaging intellectually and spiritually. Some of these friends occasionally turned romantic but none lasted long enough to be stable. The endings were natural or some happened when I discovered that they cheated. There seemed to be something always lacking that made me unable to connect. There was one romantic relationship that started at the onset of Ra-Ve, that was the significant one in the 10 years. The guy was older to me but we got along famously well and I almost felt this was it. However, as Ra-Su, I started discovering that he was seeing someone else and his attitude changed suddenly. The relationship ended in early 2011 and left me heartbroken. It took me a while to get over it. In retrospect, I think it happened for good.

However, I just haven't been able to find that "connection". My friends are often surprised that I haven't met a boyfriend or partner. While I have always wanted to have one, but only with someone who I could connect on all key levels. I would say that I am picky but within reason. It is just that I am not frivolous. I don't like leading men on if I am not interested. Some mistakingly perceive this for me being "cold" :).

All my friends or cousins have married (convention), have kids or are seeing someone seriously. Contrastingly, I still remain single. I feel TIRED now and I have almost given up on disappointing "searches". Waiting for divine intervention to kick in :)

So my question is, what kind of a marriage partner you see for me? From different cultural background, older? What will the nature of our committed relationship be for me? The timing of partnership, longevity etc? Was it all because of Rahu that I am unable to find a "stable" partner?

Yours thoughts on this would be insightful. Thanks in advance for your time.

Tulalagna,

As I said on the other thread, you are likely to have a conventional marriage in Rahu-Mars.

Mars is giving you marriage and is casting a malefic aspect on your 5th house of romance. Because of this, your romantic relationships may not survive.

Saturn is malefic in your both Lagna chart and the Navansha for your 2nd house of family and wealth. Saturn may try to keep you away from remaining married - conventionally or unconventionally.

Ketu is further malefic in your 4th house of domestic comforts, but it has become benefic in the Navansha.

Your Saptamansha the chart for children again has Mars debilitated in 7th and casting a malefic aspect on 2nd. On the other hand, Saturn is well-placed in 5th house of children and casts a protective aspect on 2nd - thus countering Mars aspect. But Saturn's aspect on 7th is malefic.

Combining the 3 charts, I feel your romantic relationships may break and ultimately you may go for a conventional marriage brought by your family - though because of malefic Saturn, you may have frictions in your marriage, but it may not break.

Jupiter has a strong aspect on the 7th house in the Navansha. This further strengthens the possibility of a conventional marriage that may endure despite frictions.

You may not have children.

Jupiter Mahadasha may also make you more conventional towards your lifestyle. Rahu, Saturn, Ketu and Mercury have made you unconventional in Rahu Mahadasha.

Explorings may give further reading of your chart regarding relationship and children.

It is actually a wrong notion that India is traditionally intolerant towards same-gender relationships. Our ancient texts give the contrary evidences, though they may be lesser in number to the heterosexual relationships. A lot of research has been done in this regard. It's the Western world that has been traditionally intolerant towards it. Their new-found "tolerance" towards it is actually a result of the modern industrialised society, not a part of tradition.

Saindhavi,

That was fast! So it looks like jyotisha timeline says that there is good news ahead of me on marriage front. However, knowing myself and regardless of previous romantic failures, it is unimaginable for me to enter into a "conventional marriage" if it involved keeping someone in the dark or tricking her. Both of us deserve a compatible person. It is very less likely I would take that option in Ju MD. I have already fought that battle with my folks before.

Nevertheless, it does seem the prognosis for marriage/relationship experience going forward is trending on the "conventional" with a compatible man which is good news. It sure is a welcome relief after the volatile years. Karmically, I guess I have my share of frictions to deal with which is not uncommon in marriages. Marriages (conventional or unconventional) are for spiritual growth :). Not having children from this relationship seems to fit nicely with the picture, given the reality.

I would have to take away the blame from poor chap Rahu and give equal credit to Moon and Mars MD when it occurred to me that I was different :). Rahu just gave me the strength to accept and own my truth.

Thanks for your prompt take on this relationship picture.

I look forward to Explorings insights.

Dear Saindhviji,
I had posted my details in September.
I am following all the guidelines you have given.
But I don't get any chance to job.

My DOB 26th Sept 1963
Time 2.56 am Place Thane Maharashtra (India)

I am running my Rahu MD Guru AD.
Last 3 years, everything is in confusion. I am not able to concentrate with my efforts. I am in Canada for more than 2 years. Not getting any job even.
Will it be like this for next 15 years of Rahu MD? Will there be any change for better?
What should I do? Job / learning/research work/ voluntary social work?
Should I go back to India? will it be good for me?

I am reciting Vishnu sahasra nam, Mahalakshmi jap, Ram raksha and Hanuman stotra chanting everyday.
I have Pushkraj ring as you suggested.

Please guide me.

Godebolesmita,

Your are destined to stay abroad. So, don't go back to India. After 11th of Jan, you should get a job, when Rahu becomes benefic in Libra.

Your chart shows scope for research and teaching career related to energy-related fields or related to medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, genetic Engineering etc.

I think the best option would be to take up either a research project or enrol for a research degree in any of the disciplines above, based on your previous qualifications. If you tell me what subjects you have studied before, I can suggest a list of disciplines for you related to your chart.

This is also the application season, so you can do this now.

Besides, your 10th Lord Mars is now exalted in your 7th house.

After completing the research, you can join a research and/or teaching job.

Dear Saindhaviji,
Thank you very much.
I have studied Bachelor in Commerce in 1984, LL.B. 1996 and M.A. in Marathi literature in 2008.
I have studied Japanese language 3 exams of Japan foundation.

I have worked in the bank of 18 years. Opted for VRS in 2001.
From 2003 to 2010, I was teaching Japanese in India.(But I don't see any scope for Japanese in Canada as I am not native speaker).

Here in Canada, I have passed Banking licence exam. I worked in bank in coop program. in Aug Sept 2012.
But could not get chance to continue.

I came to know that Govt is funding for the University program for Gender studies and Feminist research. M.A. with thesis and field work.
There is no pre requisite of Bachelors degree in the same subject. It is totally a new program.
I have studied this subject in M.A. in literature.
I find "Women struggle, fighting spirit with rejection/restriction, and still creative ability" every thing interesting.
But I have to apply in Jan 2013 for the courses in Sept 2013.
I have interest in alternative medicine. I use Bach flower remedies. But in Canada, there is licence for every thing. It seems not easy.

I do not know any body from any university. Is it possible?

GB Smita,

It's quite obvious why you are not getting a job in Canada - your education and work profile don't answer to Canadian requirements. In any case, amongst all Western countries, Canada requires a local degree most of all. Without a Canadian degree, it's virtually impossible to get a job in Canada - unless you have a degree from a top-ranking US university.

Besides, Commerce, Marathi Literature and Japanese are not really directly connected to each other.

Law courses are very country specific. So, your Indian LLB doesn't work in Canada.

Now, for a career in feminism and gender studies, you'll need a PhD. With just a Masters you can't get a job in Canada. But at your advanced stage, perhaps it's not advisable to go for a PhD.

So, taking all aspects in consideration I suggest you go for either of the two tracks -

1 - Get a 2 years Management (full-time) degree with some courses focused on energy studies. You'll have to look for an institution where they have Management courses and energy courses and they allow this kind of combination.

This will lead to normal Management jobs and also to specific energy-Management focused jobs, which are now growing in Canada, as Canada is becoming a leading energy producer.

2 - Get a 2 years degree in Environmental Law, if they give you admission. This will again lead to jobs in energy sector, in law sector and also to UN jobs if you are interested.

If you already have immigration, you should be able to get at least partial funding for this.

I know it feels weird to go back to study at this stage, but if you just spend these 2 years getting one of these degrees, you should be fine in career after that.

I think it's best to be realistic and accept that they don't accept our Indian qualifications, our degrees are not relevant for them and if we want to compete in their job markets, we have to play by their rules.

You can relate your Commerce degree with Management and later, if you work in multinational companies or in the UN, you can also use your Japanese skills to your advantage. So, at least 2 out of 4 skills you have from India will be utilised.

Astrologically speaking, your Rahu Mahadasha and benefic Rahu in 12th should help you in Management and Saturn in 7th should help in law. Besides, your Mars aspects your 10th house and will help you in energy-related sectors.

Jupiter is very benefic for you and will gradually help you to establish yourself in Canada in overall fields. In Rahu-Jupiter, your Jupiter should help you to get a Canadian degree.

I know your study will begin only in Fall 2013. Till then, you can take a few courses in energy from various institutions - either online or full time. This will give you some extra credits which you can later use in your career and perhaps reduce your study load in your Canadian programme.

I am just 20 (will become 21 this year) , I seem to be going under Rahu MD .
It started last year .

My observations from what I see (although I dont know what my chart tells cause I am still learning the basics of Vedic astrology ) :

BEFORE RAHU MD :
1. I was vegetarian (almost , although once in 4~6months I would eat non-veg)
2. No urge of Alcohol , hardly had any (once a year may be)
3. Was calm and at peace with my mind
4. Believed in GOD and not astrology

AFTER RAHU MD STARTED :
1. Hardcore non-veg.
2. Have alcohol every weak
3. My mind is fickle , but is down to practicality and more realistic
4. Belief in GOD is there , but dont seem to pray much
5. NOW I BELIEVE IN HARDWORK
6. Seem to be very realistic
7. Very focused about my End life goal
8. Matters with money with my family seems very bad ( My dad is also going under Rahu MD)
but as such , matter with money for me as an individual is kinda good .
9. I believe in astrology now
10. I am more of a manipulator now
11. Seem to take Leadership roles in my job.
12. Suddenly I am very emotional ! never was , but now I am
13. Super quick ups and downs in life (situation changes)
14. Very stubborn and bossy
15. Craving for knowledge
16. Sudden interest in Education and Studies (developed over 3 years , but now its strong as ever )

FINAL OUTCOME :
I seem to be completely different person now , I believe in hardwork , research , practicality , persistance , very ambhitious , a new outlook on things .
But then again , I have been going through Bad dashas (when I was 16~18 it was like living Hell for me ) since birth , only from the age of 28 good dashas will start for me ( jupiter dasha , saturn dasha etc.. )

Things I learnt from this 1 year of Rahu MD :
1. Always have a backup plan for everything
2. Research and planning is the back bone of a successful person
3. Hard work and persistence are they key to success
4. Believe in GOD no matter what , but always believe in ur WORK and URSELF .
5. Spontaneous OUTLOOK is good , but even for the OUTLOOK planning and research is required
6. Details in everything is a MUST .

Although it would be nice to see what my chart says abt it .

Request the members to give a look at my chart and if what I have learnt or is going on in Rahu MD is exactly what my chart says or no ?

Under the Spell of Rahu ,
DreamBoy~

Hello Members ,

The above was my previous post on what I generally observed while I came to know that I was running under Rahu MD. As the time has passed and the Antardasha has also changed .

My experience of Rahu-Rahu-Moon :
Right now I am running on the second last leg of Rahu MD with Antardahsa also being of Rahu .
At present I am under Rahu-Rahu-Moon which will get over on 24th of this month and Rahu-Rahu-Mars will start till Mid Feb of 2013 .
it was on 17th I had a sinus attack and fever . I have also been suspected with typhoid . (I am saying this cause moon+saturn related to my illhealth and problems with cold)
The start of rahu-rahu-moon was on 05/oct/2012 . I noted a sincere "downfall" in general . Although things had become very easy for me. The workload at my workplace was down to minimal ! but the outcome or the end result of it was not really very favorable and now towards the end of the rahu-rahu-moon I seem to have typoid .
On 7th Oct 2012 I had dropped my papers in the company (under moon PD) for good and for making a better future by concentrating on my education . But as I am sick now 2~4weeks of my life is wasted .

Conclusion/Interpretation :

From the above experiences and looking at my Lagnesh(moon)'s position It is safe to say that in the future whenever I would have moon being a factor in any dasha (MD/AD/PD) its safe to say
1. Il encounter health problems , typically relating to cold/fever as the combination of saturn + moon gives the native a weakness towards cold.
2. There will be a change in my activities . It may be my line of work or anything else .
3. Although Moon being my LL is not very beneficial although my Lagna seems to be strong as it is aspected by LL itself . But the effects of it wouldnt really be very benefiting .

Well this is what I could see from my chart by applying my the basic knowledge I have and by correlating the real life experiences so that I can make sure what can be expected by the planets in their Dashas.

I have also noted down on how the different PD's effected so that I can have a small insight on how things will turn when I would be having those antardashas.

Would love if Experts on the forum would comment on my analysis and my way of analyzing .

Under the spell of Rahu,

Yes, you can do well in medicine. Current transit is very benefic for you. Your skin problems should get resolved after 11th Jan.

Wear Jade 7.2 carats either moulded into a ring or set in silver. Offer water to the rising Sun daily and recite Gayatri Mantra 21 times daily.

GB Smita,

For all those subjects you'll need a PhD to have a successful career - that means an investment of about 6-7 years. Besides, I am not sure with your kind of background it's possible for you to get admission in those subjects - as you don't have a prior training in those fields.

Astrologically, Mars play a strong role in your chart. So, you have to combine energy (Mars) with Commerce, which is your previous training.

Dreamboy,

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I hope Explorings will have something to say about it.
